She hasn’t been tested with cats, but she has no aggression or prey drive. While she tends to pull her leash a little bit, she is working on it and making great progress. She is house trained and is not a barker. Shine was found on the street and sent to a city pound. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Skye is a 3-year-old, 45 lb Shar-Pei/Pit Bull mix who is looking for her forever home. Skye loves to be with her people and would thrive with a family that wants to give her lots of love and continue her basic training. She is very loving with people and loves to play ball in the yard. Skye is active but also likes to lounge. She would make a great active buddy followed by movie nights cuddling on the couch. She gives the best hugs. She has been in the kennel environment for some time and will need a family that can continue training with her, she knows sit and will work for treats! Skye is reactive to other dogs and needs to be the only dog in the home and would be best suited in a standalone home with a fenced yard. No apartment or city life for her. With training and support her reactivity could definitely improve. No cats or small critters. We are looking for a home with kids over 12 or adult only, Skye can jump when she is excited and is still learning manners! Skye is UTD on shots, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Ms. Ruby Red is an absolute charming girl that has had a hard start at life. She has a birth defect called enophthalmos, which basically means her eyes are too far set back into her skull, this caused her to also suffer from severe cherry eyes and entropion in both eyes making it very difficult for her to see and in constant pain. Along with these issue she had also been hit by a car as a young puppy, probably because she couldn't see! Thanks to a concerned citizen we were made aware of Ruby's situation and were able to give her the much-needed care that she needed. Now after months in foster care and multiple surgeries this awesome pup is ready for her forever home with only has a small scar on her left thigh, see perfectly fine and no longer in pain. We were able to pull him into our rescue and he is now on his way to gaining back his weight.Other than being neglected our vet has found nothing wrong with Ace. He is an amazing sweet boy, and despite what he went through with his previous owners he is still such a loving, gentle boy. His soulful bright eyes and sweet smile melts the heart of everyone who meets him.Ace is crate and house trained, good with other dogs, kids and even cats. He's the happiest sweetest boy with an amazing disposition. Ace loves to snuggle and be near his people. My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. We're a charming bunch! While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, my other siblings and I are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much. I allow strangers to touch or hug me. I'm a very nice, innocent soul. And I'm an extreme toy lover. If I have a toy I like, I go to the corner alone and play with it quietly without my friends knowing. I grew up in a shelter as a baby, so I have less experience. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM BENJI! Benji is an almost 4-year-old Boxer-Pit mix in need of a forever home. He's currently in a foster home in the Pacific Northwest. Benji has had a rough go of it in his short life - he was rescued from a crowded California shelter, and later was attacked by another male dog. He is almost healed from his attack though looks a little rough around the edges during the healing process. Benji is very much a couch potato dog in that he loves to lounge on the sofa or sleep on your bed. He has done fine around other dogs, but given his recent trauma we think he may be best as the only dog where he can get all of the deserved love and attention. He's very affectionate, and loves belly rubs. Benji is also an active, strong boy so he needs a strong owner, and someone who can take him for walks, hikes and other outings. A big, fenced yard would be a plus, but is not a necessity. He does have a prey drive for squirrels and bunnies, so probably would do best in a home without cats. Overall he's a mellow, easygoing boy. He weighs about 60 lbs. Please email for an application.
