I was given this pet as a Christmas gift 5 years ago and he is about to be 6 years old in November. I am looking for a new owner that has a loving home and has more time for him than I do. He is a very active dog, and requires a lot of attention that I can’t get him since I am still in college. My dog is a sweetheart, and sometimes might be a little stubborn but he loves people and loves to play. My dog requires a special diet as well so I’m looking for someone who can afford to take care of his needs as well . He knows a few tricks such as sit, lay down, shake hands and fetch. I love my dog but I just don’t have e the funds and the time and I just want to find him a home that will love him as much as I do.

This sweet older gal is  very loving, house trained and loves companionship of people and does fine with the cat too, in her foster home.  If you have a soft heart for older small dogs, she will be your loyal companion.   Her owners passed away and she ended up being surrendered by family members and had not been well cared for, so we got her a dental, and brought her current on her shots.. she is spayed and ready for adoption.   We had to sedate her to have her fully shaved to get all her mats out.   The vet felt she was between 10-12 years old.   She will do best in a home that does not have hyper animals who want to play, or hyper/loud children.  She loves to snuggle and sleep with you or nearby.   She is crate trained and also trained to potty on pee pads if you are away a few hours and she can't get out.   She will need regular grooming, as all Shihtzus do.   If you are interested in adopting this sweet gal, please apply online at buttsmutts.com to adopt BB!   ##2118600##

Major is 6 years old and recently had his shots in June. He is a very loving dog and likes to be scratched and cuddled. He takes a little time to warm up to men but after a short while, he becomes very fond of them. He is partial to women and children and immediately warms up to them.

Meet Henry!  Henry, a 6-years-old, 10lb, Shih Tzu is just the cutest ever! We met him on a trip to a metro Atlanta area shelter who was about to euthanize a bunch of dogs because of overcrowding. Henry had been surrendered to the shelter when his human “mom” and “dad” broke up. As soon as we met him we couldn’t believe anyone could ever give him up! He’s super low maintenance and spends his days with all four paws in the air while he naps. But don’t let his tiny size fool you, there’s nothing he enjoys more than a brisk walk. He comes alive and jumps for joy as soon as he hears his leash rattling.   But if it’s raining and he can’t go on a walk then he happily sleeps the day away in his crate and nobody would know that he missed his daily exercise. His crate is his sanctuary but he does like being within reach of his favorite human. His tail wags whenever a human is near or he rolls onto his back looking for free belly rubs.   Henry does have a very common condition known as “cherry eye”. We are trying a course of medicated eye drops to see if we can reduce the cherry eye that way, but if that is unsuccessful we will get him right in for surgery. It’s a surgery we’ve had done on tons and tons of dogs - very routine and no one will ever know there was ever an issue once he has healed.    So who needs a snuggle buddy to curl up with on these rainy afternoons? Story
Several years ago a good samaritan in Nashville saved me, I was running down the road. She took me in for 3 years, but couldn't afford to take me to the vet. I developed skin and ear issues so she reached out for someone to take me, and here I am getting the health care I need and responding very well. Yes I'm mostly blind, but I'm a gentle fellow that enjoys being petted. I could spend the day sitting on a lap being company and enjoying a persons company. I'm quiet and I would be fine in a small home with a small fenced yard because I love to sit in the sun and snooze.
