We take the animals from our local Police Pct, provide the medicals, assess their behavior, and adopt them out. Munchin has an adorable undershot jaw. We did bloodwork, dental, and vaccines so he is ready to live with a new forever home. Munchkin is good with cats and dogs! Hi, my name is Chewy and I am a senior Shih Tzu, almost 9 years old, 13 lbs and I have a sweet disposition and a little underbite. I am friendly and get along great with people and other dogs, and although I am not really playful with my doggy friends, I enjoy their company. I am more of a lap dog, loving pets and rubs, and when not in your lap I’ll follow you everywhere or curl up for a nap on a chair or doggy bed. I’m well-behaved and rarely bark and if you don't notice me waiting by the door to go out and do my business, I am an expert using a potty pad. I was a stray dog in San Antonio in 2017 and wound up at the dog pound. I was adopted locally and lived a nice life until last month when my owner surrendered me back to the dog pound. I couldn't believe it, especially after I was a good and faithful boy for so many years, but I guess I should be grateful they didn't just put me out on the street or throw me out of a truck like many older dogs around here. The good news is, that I hear many wonderful families on the East Coast would be happy to have a sweet little guy like me, so I can't wait to meet them and get my life started again. Born 10-13-09, Teuscher is a Shih Tzu through and through. There is nothing Teuscher likes more than a nice belly rub! He has beautiful hair that grows, so he must be brushed daily and groomed regularly. Teuscher is bowlegged, and consequently we limit his activity so that he doesn’t overdo it and we avoid letting him climb stairs. Teuscher can be possessive of his toys, so we are mindful not to take anything away from him unless we trade it for a treat. Teuscher weighs 14 lbs.
