Story
Apollo is a sweet, playful, and curious kitten with a big heart. Though he’s the biggest of his litter, he’s a little shy at first and needs some time to feel safe. Once he’s comfortable, his adventurous side comes out, and he’s ready to explore! He loves checking every corner, inspecting every room, and finding exciting new things to investigate. He’s also quite the athlete, enjoying climbing and jumping as high as he can. Feather wands are his absolute favorite toys, and he can’t resist chasing down toy mice like a little hunter. When it’s time to rest, Apollo loves snuggling up with his siblings for a cozy nap. He’s also a big fan of cuddling with his humans. He’ll curl up on your lap, purring loudly to show his affection and asking for plenty of pets and head scratches. Apollo is fixed, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FeLV tested and microchipped. Apollo & Comet are a bonded pair. Meet and greets are by appointment only.   MUST FOLLOW APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Go to  https://www.kittenrescue101.org/adopt/available-cats and Click "adopt" on the cat's profile you are interested in. Clicking adopt does not mean that you are adopting this cat. It will take you to an application to fill out which is the first step of the adoption process. (NOTE: If the kitten is a bonded pair, do not apply for him/her as a single kitten. These applications will not be considered)  2) If your application is approved, you will receive a call back within 2-3 days with an appointment time slot. We do our best to match the cat to the best environment/family/situation as possible based on the cat's personality and temperament.  3) Please note, we do not adopt single kittens. Adopter must have an existing young kitty or be open to adopting a pair. Story
Comet is a sweet, loving, and playful male kitten, just waiting to steal your heart. He has a great personality and warms up to people quickly. Comet adores his people and loves to interact with them. He often starts purring the moment he is petted. He likes to be held and cuddled, and always looking for affection. He loves to snuggle up to either his siblings and or with his humans. Comet loves toy mice, and can't seem to get enough of them! He likes to walk around with one in his mouth and make growling noises so no one will steal it from him. He also loves to wrestle and play tag with his siblings, chasing each other around. Comet is fixed, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FeLV tested and microchipped. Comet & Apollo are a bonded pair. FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP: Ben was recently rescued from living in a backyard after his owner became very ill and had to leave him behind.  Ben is very sweet and loves pets!  He may be a bit skittish at first, but he warms up quickly and is very responsive to getting attention from people.   Ben is missing one eye.  We don’t know how this happened, but it doesn’t slow him down a bit.   Ben was born in approximately November 2022.  He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his vaccinations.   For more information about fostering or adopting Ben, please contact Deborah at 510-909-4961 (text preferred) or at angusnfriends@outlook.com.    Not ready to adopt? Please consider supporting our rescue efforts with a donation. All funds go directly to our cats, no amount is too small, and we are grateful for every donation. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Sydney is a 5 year old Flamepoint Siamese and he is the sweetest boy ever. He is vocal, affectionate, and loving. He did test positive for FIV but he is very healthy otherwise. He would like to be your one and only pet, as he likes to be the king of the castle. He had a rough start to life and still has some trauma he is mentally healing from, but he has a lot of faith in his humans and wants to trust you completely, he will just need someone who is patient and cat experienced. He would enjoy a soft bed and cat tree to sleep and lounge on. He would love to cuddle with his new person in bed at night. He is a people kitty, he likes to conversate with you about his day and is eager to hear about yours. He would be a great companion for someone who works from home or is retired as he always loves to be right next to his human. Do you think Sydney could be the guy you've been searching for? He would love to meet you. Apply to adopt this gorgeous blue-eyed boy today. He has been neutered, tested negative for FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Cat Adoption:59Brown tabby Gingerbread is an incredibly outgoing and affectionate cat. She purrs loudly immediately upon seeing people and comes right over to rub against your legs and bonk your hand for pets. She makes adorable chirping sounds and likes to watch what’s happening outside the windows (despite only having one eye!). She is social with new people and good with kids (who all LOVE her). She enjoys the wand toy, scratching post, wrestling with her sister, Eggnog, and playing with pretty much any kind of toy. She’s happy to snuggle on your lap after a good play session and is very sweet and affectionate with her sister.    Lynx Pt. Siamese Eggnog is also a pirate kitty, and a spunky and curious girl who knows how to use her voice to get what she wants—and what she wants is attention! Eggnog is slower to warm up than her sister, but once she gets to know her people, she demands snuggles and will ask to be picked up (or jump up herself). She’s very playful and enjoys spring toys, mousies, and crinkle toys, all of which she will carry around in her mouth. She loves wrestling with her sister, Gingerbread, and snuggling with her and her humans. She has a classic Siamese voice and has lots to say!     Both cats are quite confident and were curious about the resident cats in their foster home—especially Eggnog, who had no problem walking up to them, touching noses, or trying to eat the 16-pound boy's food while he growled at her. They would do fine in a house with other cats. They both love Churu treats and are good eaters (especially wet food that contains tuna or salmon; they’re less interested in chicken).    Medical disclosure for Eggnog: Eggnog has had multiple full-body seizures. Sometimes a diagnosis for seizures can be reached with testing. Unfortunately, OAS does not have the resources for this. Eggnog should have a full veterinarian exam as soon as possible after adoption. Your veterinarian can make further recommendations for testing and treatment.  January 9, 2025, 9:35 pm
