Clove is a big gorgeous guy who loves to be petted and lavished with affection. He's got this plush fur that you won't be able to resist sinking your fingers into, and Clove will respond with a hearty purr to show you how much he's loving it. He's a big softy; we've never heard him hiss or growl, no matter how uncertain he was at the time. By now, we're sure that you're wondering to yourself why in the world this fabulous cat is looking for a new home. To look at Clove, you would expect his confidence to match his sturdy size, but the truth is that Clove is a cowardly lion, just like the big feline in the Wizard of Oz. It takes him time to trust new people, and he thrives on predictable routines that take time to establish. His new family will need to be prepared to give him plenty of space and to work closely with his current foster mom to help set Clove up for success. We firmly believe that with the right kind of home, plus patience, understanding and dedication, Clove will continue to bloom. Some of us just need a bit more reassurance than others, and Clove is looking for his special person. Clove is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, fully vaccinated (including rabies), treated to prevent fleas, and litter box trained. He may be a bit skittish at first, but he warms up quickly and is very responsive to getting attention from people. Ben is missing one eye. We don’t know how this happened, but it doesn’t slow him down a bit. Ben was born in approximately November 2022. Sapphire and Boxer are rescues from Modesto. Found outside and in a harmful situation, they had lost 2 of their friends to neighbors who purposely ran them over. A neighbor was alarmed and took them inside to prevent further harm, and reached out to our rescue for help. They were taken into foster care, medically treated, fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and finally adopted.....2 years later they were returned to our rescue and now they await their 3rd chance. They have been through some tough times and although they are slow to get acclimated to their new situation, they remain sweet and gentle. Sapphire is a beautiful Lynx Point Siamese kitty with piercing blue eyes. She enjoys scratches and cuddles and can be seen with boxer at all times, they truly are a bonded pair! Sapphire will do best in a peaceful environment with a predictable schedule and routine. With patience, love, and consistency, you will see that she is truly and affectionate and loving kitty, she just needs to first feel safe. Although exposed to some dogs, she doesn't care much for them and is okay with gentle children. Boxer and Sapphire were rescued from a very dangerous situation in Modesto. They eventually made their way to our rescue where they were medically treated and further socialized. Eventually this beautiful pair were adopted, but now now 2 years later they were returned and their search for a new, forever family began once more. Boxer is a most handsome boy, he likes to cuddle with Sapphire and wind around your feet for pets. He takes a little while to acclimate to new situations, but once comfortable he is very sweet and loving. He is very much bonded with Sapphire and is seen constantly in her vicinity.
