Champagne, a stunning 1-2 year old Standard Poodle, possibly a Doodle, is ready to find his forever home! He currently weighs 54lbs. Rescued from a shelter with his sister Romance, Champagne has settled into foster life beautifully and is eager to share his love with a lucky family. Champagne wakes up around 7-8 am, greeting each morning with gentle stretches and a wagging tail. He sleeps peacefully in his foster parents’ room and doesn’t need a crate—though they’re considering training him just for consistency. After a quick breakfast (which he eagerly devours!), he enjoys a game of backyard ball and a morning walk to take care of business. Throughout the day, Champagne loves being close to his people. He’s a classic velcro dog, quietly curling up at your feet while you work or relax. Come evening, he has dinner around 5 pm, takes another walk, and then settles in for cozy movie time, happily snoozing until bedtime. Champagne’s personality is pure sweetness. He craves affection and reassurance, and while he’s incredibly cuddly, he’s respectful if you’re busy—though you’ll often find those soulful puppy eyes gazing up at you, waiting for a pet. He’s especially attached to his foster mom, following her from room to room and softly whimpering when she steps away. Champagne’s love for people extends to everyone he meets—he greets each family member with joy and never wants to be left out of the fun. While Champagne adores people, he’s pretty indifferent to other dogs. He recently had a playdate with a neighbor dog, which included some playful zoomies, but he ultimately focused more on the humans. His foster family suspects he’d do fine with cats that stand their ground—though he might give chase if they run. Playful but not overly energetic, Champagne enjoys chasing a ball a few times or squeaking a toy but settles quickly afterward. For a young dog, he’s impressively calm and gentle indoors. He’s also very trainable—he already knows “sit” and is working on other commands like “stay,” “off,” and “leave it.” On walks, he’s polite on leash and rarely pulls, though he might lunge at a passing squirrel or bird (he considers it a fun game, not an obsession!). With his stamina, he’d make a great running buddy. Champagne is mostly house-trained, with just a couple of early marking incidents. He hasn’t shown interest in digging or destructive chewing—he prefers a bully stick over most chew treats. He does have a habit of counter-surfing, likely due to past food insecurity, but his foster family is working on it. Consistent training and keeping food out of reach will help curb this. The ideal home for Champagne? Just about anyone who wants a loving, loyal companion! He’d thrive in a family where someone is home often, but he’d also make an exceptional comfort dog in a quieter setting—he’s the kind of pup who’ll happily sit for hours while being gently petted. Families with older children, singles looking for a loyal friend, or retirees seeking a sweet shadow would all be great matches. He’d especially love a home that welcomes pets on the couch or bed, where he can snuggle up and soak in all the love he deserves. Champagne is ready to pop into your life and fill it with warmth, cuddles, and unwavering loyalty. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Champagne might just be your perfect match.March 9, 2025, 4:20 pm

Story
We have been fostering Max for a few months. His owner has passed and he is looking for his new furever home. Even though Max is 10 years old, he enjoys walks. He can walk up to 2 miles a day! He likes lounging in our backyard or in his bed inside. One thing to note, he cannot climb stairs. Otherwise, he is quite healthy for a senior dog! He's a chill dog who easily adapted to our dog (another standard poodle). He loves being loved!

Story
Meet Rosie, the sweetest 13-week-old scruffy pup with a heart as big as her personality! This adorable white fluffball came to us with her sister from a local neglect situation, covered in fleas and scabs. But thanks to love and care in her foster home, Rosie is healing beautifully and growing more confident every day! Rosie is a unique mix of Poodle, Terrier, and Chihuahua, making her a low-shedding companion. She's still just a baby with no formal training or life experiences, so she needs a family committed to teaching her the ropes of basic training, socialization, and plenty of exercise. She's currently about 6 pounds, and we expect her to reach around 20 pounds full-grown, a perfect medium size! While she can be shy at first, once she warms up, Rosie is incredibly affectionate and cuddly. She thrives in a home with another dog to help show her the way and build her confidence. If you're looking for a loyal, loving pup and have the time to invest in her bright future, Rosie might just be your perfect match! Ready to meet her? She can't wait to find her forever family! To begin the adoption process, please submit an application using the link below. Our team will carefully review it to determine if you are a suitable match for the dog you are interested in. If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information. In the event your application isn't accepted or might be a better fit for another dog, we will provide feedback and suggest alternative matches. Your application remains active for 90 days, allowing consideration for other dogs in our care. Simply email us if there is another dog you would like your application to be applied to. She's truly a Louisa—an independent thinker with a heart full of devotion and a flair for drama (mostly in the form of zoomies). She also has a non-shedding coat that is an option for those who have allergies or simply don't have the time or energy for cleaning up dog fur. However, remember, that means booking appointments with the groomer! A Tale of TransformationMuch like the heroines in her namesake’s novels, Louisa started her journey a bit shy, preferring her human’s company over the big, scary backyard. But with time, patience, and plenty of pep talks, she’s blossomed into a confident little lady who now struts outside like she owns the place. She’s athletic (jogging, hiking, and keeping up with an Aussie—yes, really!), yet she also enjoys a good book… er, I mean, a good TV binge with her person at night. A Day in the Life of Louisa May Alcott 6:30 AM – Rise and shine! Time for a morning potty break, followed by a jog (she’s your built-in fitness accountability partner).7:45 AM – Breakfast is served! She’s an easy eater—no dramatic food preferences here.Work Time – Louisa’s an excellent office assistant, quietly lounging while you work or running outside with her canine co-workers.4:00 PM Walk – Because the great outdoors is her second favorite novel.Evening Routine – Whether you’re watching Pride and Prejudice or Parks and Recreation, she’s down to cuddle—or find a cozy corner to lounge like the sophisticated lady she is.9:30 PM – Bedtime snuggles commence. Yes, she sleeps in bed like the queen she is. Best Supporting Cast: Other Dogs: Louisa is a social butterfly! She’s lived with, played with, and befriended dogs of all sizes—from tiny pups to extra-large gentle giants. She reads social cues well and loves a good romp with her canine pals. Cats: Approved! She’s even been a gentle nursemaid to kittens. Kids: Louisa is a sweetheart with children, from toddlers to teens. Toys: Stuffies are her love language. Why You’ll Love Louisa She’s got the table manners of a Victorian lady (always sits before meals), the loyalty of Jo March, and the athleticism of a surprise track star. She’s quiet, affectionate, and eager to please—but she’s also looking for someone who can help her continue growing in confidence. The Perfect Family for Louisa May Alcott: An active household that will take her on adventures (jogging, hiking, or simply running errands). A work-from-home or dog-friendly office setup—she wants to be near her person. A routine-loving, structure-providing human who will help her feel secure. Bonus points if you have another dog to show her the ropes!   Adopt Louisa, and You’ll Never Read Alone Again. She’s ready to turn the page to her next great adventure—with you!      March 15, 2025, 2:47 am
