You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bob Marley was allowed to run along with other dogs.  Animal control picked him up and noone ever came to claim him nor the others.  From being stuck in a high kill shelter in West Texas... he is hoping someone is willing to love him. He loves all dogs and everyone, however cats are unknown. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful, First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vetting appointment if needed.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 30, 2025, 1:14 pm

Story
Marley is a 52 lbs Doodle mix born approx 3/15/24. She is a sweet and happy girl who loves everyone she meets. She's learning quickly and is treat motivated. She settles quickly in her kennel and sleeps all night. She likes car rides and is getting used to walking on a leash. She is doing well with house training as long as she is on a schedule. She is very easy to redirect and listens well. Marley still has puppy energy and would love a fenced yard, but is doing well at her foster home without one. She loves other dogs but hasn't been cat tested. Marley is learning to live her best dog life, giving endless kisses, relaxing on comfy dog beds, playing fetch and is ready for any adventure!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $575.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 24, 2025, 10:16 pm

Story
Age: Almost 1.5 years old Weight: 48# Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes, Older/considerate kids only Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Tobias is an energetic 1.5-year-old standard poodle who loves to play with toys and especially his foster sister. He has a silly/goofy personality but is fairly quiet. He’s starting to vocalize a bit more as he’s learning from his foster sister, but overall is very quiet. Tobias will require a lot of patience in the beginning as it takes him some time to warm up to new people, but he so desperately wants all the affection and to just be part of the fun! He enjoys pets, belly rubs, and scratches when he does allow us to do those things. He’s definitely cautiously optimistic when it comes to affection! He would do best in a home with at least one other dog. We aren’t sure how well he would do with other children. He doesn’t seem to mind our 13-year-old but often growls at her when she enters a room for no apparent reason. We haven’t had him around young children, and because of that we don’t feel confident saying he’d be okay with them. He’s fully potty trained and has had no accidents. He does sometimes pee when frightened (like when we have to put his harness on to go somewhere or to give him a bath). Tobias sleeps well in a kennel overnight, and during the day we keep his kennel door open so he can go in and out as he pleases. His kennel has become his safe spot. He will go in there if a noise or sudden movement scares him. He eats and drinks very well. He’s definitely food and treat motivated! He also does very well in the car. We use a vehicle-safe tether that’s connected to the anchor in the back seat and the other end to the back of his harness. He would also do fine in a vehicle’s kennel. He needs some work on leash. He tends to walk in circles and doesn’t seem to like the leash much, which is possibly due to inexperience. We have a fenced backyard where he runs around, plays with his foster sister, and potties. He wants to be around the people and dogs in his home, even if he’s not quite ready to snuggle or get lots of pets. With the right family that will give him the time and patience he requires, we know that Tobias will be an excellent pet. We know the perfect family is out there and has no idea yet what an amazing addition he will make! Adoption Fee: $695

Story
Meet Mimi- This adorable, delightfully scruffy girl is not even 2 years old and has already had her own puppies. Thankfully she was rescued by Spots and is now ready to find a family that will love her forever. Mimi is a sweet and goofy girl that has just the right amount of both spunk and chill. She loves a good romp in the backyard or a nice walk, but also loves to lounge around and nap while her foster works. Mimi is completely house trained and, although she would rather lounge on her fluffy dog bed, she will stay quietly in the crate when needed. She is working on all of the basics- sit, stay, calm, down, wait, and walking manners. She is super smart and loves to learn- especially if you have treats. Mimi also loves car rides and adventures! Mimi is friendly with dogs and people- she would love to have another dog to play with, but would also be just fine on her own. She is on the bigger size-maybe a poodle, flat coated retriever, wirehaired pointer mix-and in the awkward stage so might be best to go with a family with only older kids. Mimi would really like to have a fenced yard as she still isn’t great with going to the bathroom on a leash. She is a special girl that will instantly make her way into your heart- if you are ready for laughs and snuggles, please consider putting in an application to meet this goofball. If you would like to meet Mimi, please visit spotslaststop.org and fill out an application.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Piper, a sweet and playful Standard Poodle X born around April 12, 2023. At 56 lbs, she’s the perfect size—just the right balance of energy and affection. Piper is a bit shy at first but once she warms up, she’ll show you just how loving and fun she is! She gets her confidence from other dogs, so she’d thrive in a home with a friendly canine companion. When we first brought her in, Piper wouldn’t come near us until she met our dog—after that, she became a confident little gal who loves following her fur sibling around. Piper loves walking, she literally bounces around the whole walk like a little tigger, so a daily walk would not only do good for her (and you!), it makes her so happy. But otherwise, she is pretty low energy, happy to chill and sleep around the house most of the day, leaving you to work. Housetrained and crate trained, Piper is great with kids, cats, and other dogs, though she’d do best in a home with slightly older children, as her gentle nature might not mesh well with toddlers. She’s quiet, well-trained, and super sweet—if you're looking for a low-maintenance dog that isn’t glued to your side, Piper might just be the perfect fit for you. She does have a skin condition called Sebaceous adenitis (SA), which is an immune-mediated issue affecting the oil glands in her skin. While it doesn’t cause her much trouble day-to-day, it does mean that she needs regular baths to keep her skin and coat in good shape. This is mostly an issue if you need a hypo allergenic dog, as was the reason she was surrendered. Please take the time to read up on this condition so you are aware of what it take to manage it in he long run. Her case is not very severe and is easily managed right now but that could change as she gets older; requiring additional treatments and therapies. She’s still as lovable and adorable as ever, though, so she is a sweet, easy-going companion with a bit of extra grooming needs. So, if you already have another dog and are looking to add a sweet, well-mannered little sister to your family, Piper might just be your perfect match.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Mr. Gus! This dashing black Golden Doodle has energy to spare and a heart as big as his dreams! While many assume doodles are non-shedding, Mr. Gus does shed, so his future family should be prepared for some fur in their life. His journey has been quite the adventure—despite having a microchip, no one came forward to claim him. Lucky for us, that means he’s now ready to find his forever family! When he first arrived, Mr. Gus was down on his luck—just 26 lbs when he should be 40-45, with some rough patches on his belly and legs. But with the right care, love, and plenty of good food, he’s filling out and feeling fabulous! Nicknamed "Mr. Wild Child," this guy is ALL about zoomies, games, and more zoomies! He’s the self-appointed referee of every play session, complete with an imaginary whistle. He needs a family that understands a simple walk won’t cut it—he requires mental stimulation and structured activities to keep his sharp mind engaged. Additional training would benefit him, and to help him succeed, a trainer who has been working with him has generously offered a free training session to his future family. At night, Mr. Gus sleeps soundly in his crate, but during the day, he is not a fan of the kennel and will bark if confined. Because of this, he is not suited for shared-wall living and will do best in a home where he has space to move freely. Mr. Gus recently met a cat at a temp foster home—he did great! While he might test the waters with a playful chase, he takes corrections like a champ, making him a good fit for a cat-savvy feline friend. A fenced-in yard is a must for this energetic boy—he thrives with space to zoom and play safely. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind pup to keep you laughing, moving, and feeling the love, Mr. Gus is your guy! Are you ready for all the fun he’s bringing?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Note from Gail at Picket Fence Poodle Rescue Rehome....  This Standard Poodle is available for adoption from my friend, Melanie at Autumn Hills Poodles who is a member of the Twin Cities Poodle Club: Meet AIDEN who is an AKC 5 1/2-year-old brown Standard Poodle that is looking for his forever home. Aiden is a big cream puff, loving boy who will follow me around the house.  He loves everyone and enjoys being with other dogs. The pictures show him on the grooming table, otherwise he is at my side wagging his tail...continually!  This is the happiest dog who even loves his grooming table! He is also a soft and easy-going Poodle who would like to live with another dog as that would help him adjust faster to a new home as he's never been by himself. Like most Standard Poodles, he does have a strong prey drive.  So please, no cats.   However, he does just fine with small dogs. You do need to be physically able to handle a big dog as he weighs around 70-75 lbs and stands at a good 28 inches tall measuring from the floor to his withers. He is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, Vet checked healthy, is crate trained and housetrained.   A securely fenced yard will be required.   The adoption fee is $750.00 Please contact Melanie at: autumnhillspoodles@hotmail.com  for Aiden’s “adoption application” or with any questions about this sweet boy.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Hello, wonderful souls! I'm Peter, your soon-to-be charming companion! I'm a very handsome Miniature Poodle, and I'm discovering the joys of comfort and love in my foster home. Each day brings me more confidence, and I'm eager to share my overflowing love with a special someone—maybe that's you! I am a bit timid, sudden movements, commotion, and loud noises still make me a bit uneasy. However, I'm getting better at facing these fears every day. When foster mom is still, I'm all about those loving pets and cuddles. But if she's on the move, I keep my distance—I even bolt if she walks toward me. I know commands like "outside" and "stop," and leash and potty training are still on my to-learn list. I'm 95% potty trained, especially with a consistent routine. A fenced yard is a must for my adventurous spirit. I'd love to have a canine companion to show me the ropes, help me 'dog' properly, and boost my confidence. We're working on some manners, and my foster pals are excellent teachers. Walking on a leash needs some practice, and a confident pal by my side would be perfect. Despite being easily startled and a bit hand-shy, I've found joy in playing with toys, furry friends, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. I'm all about giving kisses, nibbling fingers, and enjoying ear scratches. Zoomies are my specialty, especially in the fenced yard or on the stairs. I've got some manners to polish up, like waiting for my turn and distinguishing between toys and household items – hee hee! I really am a sweet boy who is simply looking for the patience, unconditional love, and security that I SO richly deserve from my own fur-ever family! I really hope that YOU will be my new family because my heart is overflowing with love that I want to share with someone very special! Love, Peter *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! I'm Jockey, a sweet and small Mini Poodle weighing in at just 8 pounds. I'm 4 years old and ready to find my forever home. When I first arrived, I was pretty scared, but I've been working hard to overcome my fears and now my true personality is starting to shine through. I've really made a lot of progress and am very comfortable in my foster home. I used to hide when someone tried to pick me up, but now that I have gotten to know my foster mom, I lay down calmly  ready for some love. I enjoy spending time in the yard, especially when the neighbors walk by with their dogs. I love sniffing and checking out all the pups and people from the safety of my fence. To help me live my best life, I do need a canine companion in my new home. I have a few adorable quirks that will make you smile. I do a little dance when it's mealtime, and if you're not paying attention to me during treat time, I'll pat your leg to make sure you see me. I'm quite the foodie and love treats and chew bones. Just a heads-up, I prefer to keep my chewies to myself! I am a foodie at heart - foster mom says I can be bribed with a treat anytime, anyplace - hee hee! Toys are also my favorite - I have become a little toy hoarder and my people find my little stashes all over the house. I'm just saving them to play with later! I also love playing with the other dogs in my foster home - we LOVE playing zoomies and take turns chasing each other.  I'm still working on overcoming some fears, like loud noises, which can be a bit scary for me. But with patience and kindness, I'm getting better every day. I'm almost potty trained as long as I'm on a good schedule, and I'm also crate trained. We're working on leash training, but I do get alarmed so a fenced yard is required. I can get a bit vocal when you leave the house, but that's just because I love being around my people. It would be best if I didn't have shared walls.  If you're looking for a fantastic companion who will dance into your heart, look no further! With a little patience and kindness, I'll be your loyal and loving friend. *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Meet Skippy, the adorable 8-pound senior poodle (or poodle mix) who’s got all the sweet vibes of a happy old man. Skippy’s a total lovebug who just wants to be by your side—whether it’s snuggling on the couch, curling up in your lap, or burrowing under a pile of blankets to make his perfect little nest. He’s all about cuddles, snacks (a soft milkbone after doing his business is a must!), and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Skippy is potty trained and while he loves the comfort of a fenced yard to roam, he is leash trained and also loves the smells of the neighborhood when doing walks.  While he’s a little barker when left alone, he's generally a calm and docile soul who would do best in a home where he’s not left alone too much. Skippy enjoys the company of other dogs (especially those around his size) but could also be happy as a solo dog with enough attention and love. This sweet, tiny guy has a few quirks—his greasy skin and little "old dog" smell, which just means he may need some extra baths—but he’s just as cute as a button and full of love. As he has had more time in rescue and his skin has begun healing a bit, this does seem to be improving.  His vet thinks he’s around 12 or 13, but honestly, he might be even older, which just makes him even more of a little senior gem. Skippy is best suited for a home without too many stairs (he's small and has some old man joints) and would thrive with a family that’s home often and ready to give him the snuggles he deserves. If you're looking for a sweet, low-maintenance companion who will be your cuddle buddy and give you endless love, Skippy is the perfect match! He’s got a heart full of joy and is just waiting for the right person to spoil him. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Visit this link  www.underdogrescuemn.com/donate   to donate.  (Please note: A Paypal account is not necessary to use Paypal. When you get to the Paypal page, just use the link to the left of their login to make your donation via Paypal without an account.) March 7, 2025, 2:31 pm
