Story
Marley is a 52 lbs Doodle mix born approx 3/15/24. She is a sweet and happy girl who loves everyone she meets. She's learning quickly and is treat motivated. She settles quickly in her kennel and sleeps all night. She likes car rides and is getting used to walking on a leash. She is doing well with house training as long as she is on a schedule. She is very easy to redirect and listens well. Marley still has puppy energy and would love a fenced yard, but is doing well at her foster home without one. She loves other dogs but hasn't been cat tested. Marley is learning to live her best dog life, giving endless kisses, relaxing on comfy dog beds, playing fetch and is ready for any adventure!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $575.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 24, 2025, 10:16 pm

Story
Meet Mimi- This adorable, delightfully scruffy girl is not even 2 years old and has already had her own puppies. Thankfully she was rescued by Spots and is now ready to find a family that will love her forever. Mimi is a sweet and goofy girl that has just the right amount of both spunk and chill. She loves a good romp in the backyard or a nice walk, but also loves to lounge around and nap while her foster works. Mimi is completely house trained and, although she would rather lounge on her fluffy dog bed, she will stay quietly in the crate when needed. She is working on all of the basics- sit, stay, calm, down, wait, and walking manners. She is super smart and loves to learn- especially if you have treats. Mimi also loves car rides and adventures! Mimi is friendly with dogs and people- she would love to have another dog to play with, but would also be just fine on her own. She is on the bigger size-maybe a poodle, flat coated retriever, wirehaired pointer mix-and in the awkward stage so might be best to go with a family with only older kids. Mimi would really like to have a fenced yard as she still isn’t great with going to the bathroom on a leash. She is a special girl that will instantly make her way into your heart- if you are ready for laughs and snuggles, please consider putting in an application to meet this goofball. If you would like to meet Mimi, please visit spotslaststop.org and fill out an application.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Piper, a sweet and playful Standard Poodle X born around April 12, 2023. At 56 lbs, she’s the perfect size—just the right balance of energy and affection. Piper is a bit shy at first but once she warms up, she’ll show you just how loving and fun she is! She gets her confidence from other dogs, so she’d thrive in a home with a friendly canine companion. When we first brought her in, Piper wouldn’t come near us until she met our dog—after that, she became a confident little gal who loves following her fur sibling around. Piper loves walking, she literally bounces around the whole walk like a little tigger, so a daily walk would not only do good for her (and you!), it makes her so happy. But otherwise, she is pretty low energy, happy to chill and sleep around the house most of the day, leaving you to work. Housetrained and crate trained, Piper is great with kids, cats, and other dogs, though she’d do best in a home with slightly older children, as her gentle nature might not mesh well with toddlers. She’s quiet, well-trained, and super sweet—if you're looking for a low-maintenance dog that isn’t glued to your side, Piper might just be the perfect fit for you. She does have a skin condition called Sebaceous adenitis (SA), which is an immune-mediated issue affecting the oil glands in her skin. While it doesn’t cause her much trouble day-to-day, it does mean that she needs regular baths to keep her skin and coat in good shape. This is mostly an issue if you need a hypo allergenic dog, as was the reason she was surrendered. Please take the time to read up on this condition so you are aware of what it take to manage it in he long run. Her case is not very severe and is easily managed right now but that could change as she gets older; requiring additional treatments and therapies. She’s still as lovable and adorable as ever, though, so she is a sweet, easy-going companion with a bit of extra grooming needs. So, if you already have another dog and are looking to add a sweet, well-mannered little sister to your family, Piper might just be your perfect match.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Mr. Gus! This dashing black Golden Doodle has energy to spare and a heart as big as his dreams! While many assume doodles are non-shedding, Mr. Gus does shed, so his future family should be prepared for some fur in their life. His journey has been quite the adventure—despite having a microchip, no one came forward to claim him. Lucky for us, that means he’s now ready to find his forever family! When he first arrived, Mr. Gus was down on his luck—just 26 lbs when he should be 40-45, with some rough patches on his belly and legs. But with the right care, love, and plenty of good food, he’s filling out and feeling fabulous! Nicknamed "Mr. Wild Child," this guy is ALL about zoomies, games, and more zoomies! He’s the self-appointed referee of every play session, complete with an imaginary whistle. He needs a family that understands a simple walk won’t cut it—he requires mental stimulation and structured activities to keep his sharp mind engaged. Additional training would benefit him, and to help him succeed, a trainer who has been working with him has generously offered a free training session to his future family. At night, Mr. Gus sleeps soundly in his crate, but during the day, he is not a fan of the kennel and will bark if confined. Because of this, he is not suited for shared-wall living and will do best in a home where he has space to move freely. Mr. Gus recently met a cat at a temp foster home—he did great! While he might test the waters with a playful chase, he takes corrections like a champ, making him a good fit for a cat-savvy feline friend. A fenced-in yard is a must for this energetic boy—he thrives with space to zoom and play safely. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind pup to keep you laughing, moving, and feeling the love, Mr. Gus is your guy! Are you ready for all the fun he’s bringing?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
TUCKER is a beautiful creamy white AKC Standard Poodle who was born June 23, 2015. He weighs a healthy 71 pounds and measures 25 inches from the floor to his withers. This pretty boy was one of many Poodles who came to us from a Minnesota breeder who was retiring. She wanted the best homes for her Poodles as they enter their “retirement” years. Tucker quickly learned all about being a family dog. He follows us around our home while being a part of our family, knows how to come when called, will sit upon command and is always ready for hugs and attention. We took him to various public events, including several softball games that our grandchildren were playing in. While there, he had a good time enjoying the noise, commotion, and people all around him. He also received and enjoyed a lot of love, attention and hugs from many of the children at the games. Tucker is a quiet, soft, gentle, easy going big boy, a real cream puff. Going for his morning walk with Mike when he listens to the birds sing, watching the squirrels running around and meeting people is on the TOP of his list of fun things he loves to do. I would also like to stress that he is a very smart boy and has quickly figured out what to do and when. Example, rattle the Cheerios bag and he knows it’s time for breakfast as Mike sneaks Tucker a few Cheerios from the bag. Did I tell you that he is such a very smart and a very good boy?! While Tucker has been around other dogs all his life, he completely ignores small dogs but is just fine with other easy-going large dogs, like our Standard Poodle Lola. Yet, Tucker would be the perfect boy all by himself as he considers himself a member of a family and NOT a dog. Tucker’s adoption had been placed on hold after he and the other Poodles were running, jumping and playing outside. Suddenly we heard Tucker give out a loud “YIP!!” and clearly saw him limping. The other Poodles wouldn’t tell us what happened. But some squirrels were chattering about how Tucker was chasing them, and he took a quick turn to the right. Not sure if the squirrels were telling us the truth, so we quickly got Tucker into our Vet where X-rays were taken. We then learned that he had torn (ruptured) his right rear leg “Cruciate Ligament”. Humans have a similar experience, but it’s called a torn “ACL”. Maybe the squirrels were correct? Well, a Specialist was called in and a surgery was done to fix his torn ACL and meniscus. This surgery is very expensive (thousands), but Tucker was in pain, and he needed our help. And for those of you who asked or questioned our decision: We will not euthanize any healthy Poodle when a highly successful surgery is available! After the surgery, Tucker had his own living space in our entry way to limit his access to steps and activity. He had to remain confined and quiet. Sadly, he really missed going for walks, playing outside and going to the grandchildren’s baseball games. BUT WE CELEBRATED that Tucker’s last x-ray on Wednesday, November 27th showed he had completely recovered from his surgery with no problems!! He now is completely able to use all 4 of his legs and greatly enjoys going for his daily 2-mile walk with Mike and the other Standard Poodles. He also continues to love greeting people who come to visit. He is completely housetrained and has full access to our entire home all day, at night and when we are gone. Such a good boy! *A SECURLY FENCED YARD will be recommended as he has been a kennel dog and not trained to relieve himself on a leash. *You must be physically able to handle a large Standard Poodle. *Preference will be given to a quiet family with past Standard Poodle experience. *Large, easy-going dogs are fine. BUT PLEASE: *NO puppies or cats. *NO aggressive or assertive dogs (they scare him and me). *NO young children. *Like most all rescue groups, we do NOT adopt our Poodles to homes more than 1 day’s drive (round trip) from our location here in central Minnesota. Yes. This is a very rare opportunity for the right family as we all know that a good Standard Poodle is hard to find. With the introduction of Doodles, sadly the Standard Poodles are becoming harder to find. Why Doodle when you can Poodle? He has been neutered, and at his dental appointment, he had many of his rotting teeth removed. Our Vet also removed a few small non-cancerous cysts from Tuckers back and side. Ouch. It was a difficult and long surgery, but he did just fine and now he is feeling a LOT better. He is eating a hard kibble, so there is no need for soften or canned dog food. Yes, all his Vet work was very expensive. But Tucker is such an amazing loving, smart and good boy that we want the best for him. Everyone loves him, including the staff at our Vet’s office as they all wanted to take him home! He has been Vet checked healthy, is up to date on vaccinations, worming, heartworm/lymes/Ehrlich/ Anaplasmosis (4DX) tested negative, placed on a heartworm preventative, and Home Again microchipped. As with all the other Standard Poodles we have adopted, Tucker’s adoption fee is 1 million, trillion, zillion dollars. However, for the right family his adoption fee is $450.00 which includes $31.00 for our 7.375% Minnesota state sales tax and helps pay for just some of his extensive vet work. Also included is his leash, collar, a bag of quality dog food, a 10-gallon dog food container, treats, a cute toy box, along with a new blanket, a large, soft dog bed and lots of good information to help your Poodle adoption move forward on the right paw! Again, Tucker is a very nice Standard Poodle boy who wants and truly deserves a loving home for his “retirement”. Story
Henley is a Mini Goldendoodle who currently weighs about 30lbs. He was born in June of 2018 and will be 7 years old this year. We purchased him as a puppy from a breeder in MN. Henley is a fun loving and well behaved dog. He is very friendly and good around kids. He is also good around other dogs. Henley usually lays low and sleeps most of the day with his active time being in the evening between the hours of 5:00pm-7:00pm. He loves to chase balls and rip his toys apart. He enjoys going on walks but not for long distances. Henley has anxiety when traveling in vehicles so he does not enjoy being in cars. He also has anxiety when there is bad weather or storms. He is very good natured and would be a wonderful addition to any home. Henley does require regular grooming to maintain the doodle in him. We are looking to place him in a loving home where he can get the time and attention that he deserves.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Hello, wonderful souls! I'm Peter, your soon-to-be charming companion! I'm a very handsome Miniature Poodle, and I'm discovering the joys of comfort and love in my foster home. Each day brings me more confidence, and I'm eager to share my overflowing love with a special someone—maybe that's you! I am a bit timid, sudden movements, commotion, and loud noises still make me a bit uneasy. However, I'm getting better at facing these fears every day. When foster mom is still, I'm all about those loving pets and cuddles. But if she's on the move, I keep my distance—I even bolt if she walks toward me. I know commands like "outside" and "stop," and leash and potty training are still on my to-learn list. I'm 95% potty trained, especially with a consistent routine. A fenced yard is a must for my adventurous spirit. I'd love to have a canine companion to show me the ropes, help me 'dog' properly, and boost my confidence. We're working on some manners, and my foster pals are excellent teachers. Walking on a leash needs some practice, and a confident pal by my side would be perfect. Despite being easily startled and a bit hand-shy, I've found joy in playing with toys, furry friends, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. I'm all about giving kisses, nibbling fingers, and enjoying ear scratches. Zoomies are my specialty, especially in the fenced yard or on the stairs. I've got some manners to polish up, like waiting for my turn and distinguishing between toys and household items – hee hee! I really am a sweet boy who is simply looking for the patience, unconditional love, and security that I SO richly deserve from my own fur-ever family! I really hope that YOU will be my new family because my heart is overflowing with love that I want to share with someone very special! Love, Peter *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! I'm Jockey, a sweet and small Mini Poodle weighing in at just 8 pounds. I'm 4 years old and ready to find my forever home. When I first arrived, I was pretty scared, but I've been working hard to overcome my fears and now my true personality is starting to shine through. I've really made a lot of progress and am very comfortable in my foster home. I used to hide when someone tried to pick me up, but now that I have gotten to know my foster mom, I lay down calmly  ready for some love. I enjoy spending time in the yard, especially when the neighbors walk by with their dogs. I love sniffing and checking out all the pups and people from the safety of my fence. To help me live my best life, I do need a canine companion in my new home. I have a few adorable quirks that will make you smile. I do a little dance when it's mealtime, and if you're not paying attention to me during treat time, I'll pat your leg to make sure you see me. I'm quite the foodie and love treats and chew bones. Just a heads-up, I prefer to keep my chewies to myself! I am a foodie at heart - foster mom says I can be bribed with a treat anytime, anyplace - hee hee! Toys are also my favorite - I have become a little toy hoarder and my people find my little stashes all over the house. I'm just saving them to play with later! I also love playing with the other dogs in my foster home - we LOVE playing zoomies and take turns chasing each other.  I'm still working on overcoming some fears, like loud noises, which can be a bit scary for me. But with patience and kindness, I'm getting better every day. I'm almost potty trained as long as I'm on a good schedule, and I'm also crate trained. We're working on leash training, but I do get alarmed so a fenced yard is required. I can get a bit vocal when you leave the house, but that's just because I love being around my people. It would be best if I didn't have shared walls.  If you're looking for a fantastic companion who will dance into your heart, look no further! With a little patience and kindness, I'll be your loyal and loving friend. *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.
