Story
It breaks our hearts to do this, but we’re looking to rehome our beloved 7-year-old dog. Gus is a sweet, energetic, and loving companion who enjoys playtime, walks, and lots of cuddles. He’s been a wonderful part of our family, but with two small children and another baby on the way, we’re no longer able to give him the time and attention he deserves. He’s up to date on vaccinations, house-trained, and gets along well with people. Gus is a whoodle (wheaten terrier-poodle mix) and is non-shedding and hypoallergenic. We’re hoping to find him a home where he will be loved and well cared for, ideally with someone who can give him the exercise and attention he thrives on. If you or someone you know might be the right fit, please reach out. Serious inquiries only—we want to make sure he goes to a safe and loving home.

Story
Marley is a 52 lbs Doodle mix born approx 3/15/24. She is the cutest and sweetest girl. She has learned so much since coming to our home. She’s smart and food-motivated, making training much easier. She knows sit, wait, come, and lay down. She waits nicely for an ok before she eats her food. She doesn’t beg for people food and has never counter-surfed. She has learned that belly rubs, playing fetch, trying to sneak socks, and napping in a sunny spot are great ways to spend her time.  She loves running outside and would benefit from a fenced yard. She loves walks and is doing better on a leash. Marley is great in the car and enjoys looking out the window. She sleeps in her kennel at night and is great in it during the day if needed. She is doing amazing with house training and goes to the door when she needs to potty.  She has been attending weekly doggy class and is doing great! She is dog friendly but hasn’t been cat tested. Marley is a very chill dog; you can take her food, toys, and bones away, and she will just wait to get them back. She has loved everyone she has met, young and old, and can’t wait to meet her family!           Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $575.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 14, 2025, 8:17 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Piper, a sweet and playful Standard Poodle X born around April 12, 2023. At 56 lbs, she’s the perfect size—just the right balance of energy and affection. Piper is a bit shy at first but once she warms up, she’ll show you just how loving and fun she is! She gets her confidence from other dogs, so she’d thrive in a home with a friendly canine companion. When we first brought her in, Piper wouldn’t come near us until she met our dog—after that, she became a confident little gal who loves following her fur sibling around. Piper loves walking, she literally bounces around the whole walk like a little tigger, so a daily walk would not only do good for her (and you!), it makes her so happy. But otherwise, she is pretty low energy, happy to chill and sleep around the house most of the day, leaving you to work. Housetrained and crate trained, Piper is great with kids, cats, and other dogs, though she’d do best in a home with slightly older children, as her gentle nature might not mesh well with toddlers. She’s quiet, well-trained, and super sweet—if you're looking for a low-maintenance dog that isn’t glued to your side, Piper might just be the perfect fit for you. She does have a skin condition called Sebaceous adenitis (SA), which is an immune-mediated issue affecting the oil glands in her skin. While it doesn’t cause her much trouble day-to-day, it does mean that she needs regular baths to keep her skin and coat in good shape. This is mostly an issue if you need a hypo allergenic dog, as was the reason she was surrendered. Please take the time to read up on this condition so you are aware of what it take to manage it in he long run. Her case is not very severe and is easily managed right now but that could change as she gets older; requiring additional treatments and therapies. She’s still as lovable and adorable as ever, though, so she is a sweet, easy-going companion with a bit of extra grooming needs. So, if you already have another dog and are looking to add a sweet, well-mannered little sister to your family, Piper might just be your perfect match.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Story
Age: Almost 1.5 years old Weight: 48# Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes, Older/considerate kids only Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Tobias is an energetic 1.5-year-old standard poodle who loves to play with toys and especially his foster sister. He has a silly/goofy personality but is fairly quiet. He’s starting to vocalize a bit more as he’s learning from his foster sister, but overall is very quiet. Tobias will require a lot of patience in the beginning as it takes him some time to warm up to new people, but he so desperately wants all the affection and to just be part of the fun! He enjoys pets, belly rubs, and scratches when he does allow us to do those things. He’s definitely cautiously optimistic when it comes to affection! He would do best in a home with at least one other dog. We aren’t sure how well he would do with other children. He doesn’t seem to mind our 13-year-old but often growls at her when she enters a room for no apparent reason. We haven’t had him around young children, and because of that we don’t feel confident saying he’d be okay with them. He’s fully potty trained and has had no accidents. He does sometimes pee when frightened (like when we have to put his harness on to go somewhere or to give him a bath). Tobias sleeps well in a kennel overnight, and during the day we keep his kennel door open so he can go in and out as he pleases. His kennel has become his safe spot. He will go in there if a noise or sudden movement scares him. He eats and drinks very well. He’s definitely food and treat motivated! He also does very well in the car. We use a vehicle-safe tether that’s connected to the anchor in the back seat and the other end to the back of his harness. He would also do fine in a vehicle’s kennel. He needs some work on leash. He tends to walk in circles and doesn’t seem to like the leash much, which is possibly due to inexperience. We have a fenced backyard where he runs around, plays with his foster sister, and potties. He wants to be around the people and dogs in his home, even if he’s not quite ready to snuggle or get lots of pets. With the right family that will give him the time and patience he requires, we know that Tobias will be an excellent pet. We know the perfect family is out there and has no idea yet what an amazing addition he will make! Adoption Fee: $695

Story
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Hello everyone – My name is Mocha, but I am really much more fawn/tan colored. I am approximately 2 years old, and I am a poodle mix, heavy on the poodle part which is great because I do not shed and am super smart! I am a medium size dog, weighing about 28 pounds, I have long legs and a long torso – bigger than your “average” size poodle. I am fit as a fiddle and can run like the wind with lots of joyful energy. I arrived here in Minnesota, on March 1, via an animal rescue airplane, so main cabin, but it was still scary! I hail from the Palisade area of California, where there were great fires. We don’t know much more about my circumstances, but needless to say, it was an experience. I am so glad I am here in Minnesota and ready to move on with a new life, with my forever family. My disposition is super friendly and loving. I like spending time with my foster family getting pet, chewing bones (I LOVE this) and watching TV, BUT I do REQUIRE a decent amount of activity every day. This activity requires my forever family’s engagement, not just letting me out in a fenced yard (fenced yard is required per foster family).  This could be playing fetch, continuing my obedience training, out for a walk or all 3!!! I should add I am a reactive to dog to things on walks like birds, squirrels and new people. I bark and pull on the leash in an attempt to go toward what in am interested in. I am also very strong and when I get fixed on a dog, a bird, a person – I pull hard on my harness wanting to go and investigate. I am in training learning some basic commands and trying to learn heel –which is tricky, but my fosters think once I master it, we will have better control over my reactions to things. I really need a family that understands dogs with this kind of behavior so you can work with me and commit to mastering basic training and providing daily activity. Phew – glad I got all that out there and so happy you are still interested because we all have things we’re working on, right? Best to be transparent, so there are no surprises of either of us. I am 100% on potty training with ZERO accidents with my foster family. I do well with baths or paw washing, in this muddy season. I eat well, I stay in my kennel, and I am very quiet and respectful. I sleep in my kennel every night by my foster family and wait patiently in the morning to get the day started – no whining, barking fussing to hurry up and get me out. My fosters think I would be fine if you left me out too, but it’s always good to be kennel trained for pet sitters or if I’d need confinement for some otherreason. I live right now with 2 other dogs, BUT very slow introductions are necessary. I have been around kids (7 & 12) and there have been no issues, in fact the first time I met them, I jumped in their laps and sat with them for hours. Young kids might not be best for me because I could accidentally knock them over. I love to chew bones, so you would need to commit to providing those for me. I also enjoy dog toys. It should be noted that I will also require quarterly grooming. Overall, I am an excellent pet that just wants to please and be with a loving family. My foster Mom works from home, and I lay in my dog bed chewing bones or by her feet –no rude behaviors from me while she is on Zoom calls. My foster Mom says I am one of the best fosters they have ever had, and there have been some good ones! If you’re interested in meeting me, please fill out an application and my foster parents will set up a phone interview with you and then potentially a meet and greet or two. Look forward to meeting you, Love Mocha. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. Story
Note from Gail at Picket Fence Poodle Rescue Rehome....  This Standard Poodle is available for adoption from my friend, Melanie at Autumn Hills Poodles who is a member of the Twin Cities Poodle Club: Meet AIDEN who is an AKC 5 1/2-year-old brown Standard Poodle that is looking for his forever home. Aiden is a big cream puff, loving boy who will follow you around the house.  He loves everyone and enjoys being with other dogs. The pictures show him on the grooming table, otherwise he is at my side wagging his tail...continually!  This is the happiest dog who even loves his grooming table! He is also a soft and easy-going Poodle who would like to live with another dog as that would help him adjust faster to a new home as he's never been by himself. Like most Standard Poodles, he does have a strong prey drive.  So please, no cats.  However, he does just fine with small dogs. You do need to be physically able to handle a big dog as he weighs around 70-75 lbs and stands at a good 28 inches tall measuring from the floor to his withers. He is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, Vet checked healthy, is crate trained and housetrained.   A securely fenced yard will be required.   The adoption fee is $750.00 Please contact Melanie at: autumnhillspoodles@hotmail.com  for Aiden’s “adoption application” or with any questions about this sweet boy.
