Story
Meet Ash & Blue – A Bonded Pair Looking for a Loving Home! Ash and Blue are an inseparable duo of Yorkie mixes with hearts full of love, waiting for the right family to let them truly shine. Though they may be timid and even nippy at first, this bonded pair transforms into playful and affectionate companions once they learn to trust you. Blue is the more outgoing of the two, though it takes her time to warm up. Once she feels safe, her true personality comes out—she loves squeaky toys, enjoys lots of attention, and will even grab your hands to play. On walks, Blue is confident, often leading the way while sticking close to Ash. She’s always by Ash’s side, following his every move, showing their tight bond. Blue is also known for her sneaky tendencies, so she'll need a watchful eye to prevent her from exploring beyond the backyard! Ash, on the other hand, is a bit more mellow. He’s a quiet soul who doesn't show much interest in toys, but he loves being close to his sister and will often step in to either protect her or get in on the attention she’s receiving. Ash is a gentle boy who tends to eat after Blue and enjoys his rest. When Blue is playing, Ash is never far behind, ready to be by her side. Both Ash and Blue are still working on their outdoor potty training, preferring puppy pads for now. Patience will be key as they adjust to new surroundings. This sweet pair needs a calm, loving home where they can take their time to come out of their shells. With the right family, Ash and Blue will become loyal and playful companions, always there to brighten your day. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to these two adorable pups, apply today to meet them! Let Ash and Blue show you what true love and companionship look like!

Story
Peeka is a lovely spayed little girl who is a mix of Yorkie and Wired Hair Terrier. She is seven years old, weighs 10 lbs., and is full of love. Peeka is current on all her vaccinations. She is house-trained and crate-trained and loves sleeping in bed with you. She is very active. Sweet little Peeka was left outside without supervision and wandered the streets in Greeley, within her neighborhood. Peeka is a little bundle of love who adores attention and snuggles with her humans. She especially loves going on her daily walks and lets you know when it's time to go. Peeka practically puts her harness on herself! Once she settles down in her new home, which, with all Yorkies, it takes at least two weeks before she feels comfortable in her new home. She loves belly rubs and treats. She gets along with children, but other dogs are not her favorite; therefore, she would be better off being the only dog in the household. We are requesting a stay-at-home adult or one who works from home. She must have a secure fenced yard. Peeka loves being outside, but with the Colorado predators, one must always be outside with her. No apartment, Condo, or Townhome for this little one.

Story
Rusty is a 9(ish) year old adorable little man weighing about 10lbs.  Rusty is a spicy little boy and we could not be more obsessed with him.  He was adopted from us a couple years back and he really ruled the roost in his home.  The couple was older and they just wanted a dog to lay around with them all day and he was not that dog.  He became sassy, and while the wife absolutely loved him, the husband said he had to go.   Since Rusty had absolutely no training while he was with them we decided to board and train him to get his big personality under wraps and to get him the training and exercise he deserved.  Since Rusty did our board and train program we are going to require he goes to a family who will take our training classes so they can learn everything that Rusty has learned. It is 100% free to the adopters which is an amazing deal, for people who want to learn more about dogs and how to help them succeed!  Rusty is an awesome little guy.  He loves to go for walks and he can be very talkative.  He lots to trot around the yard with a big smile on his face.  He is an adorable little oldman and will bring so much joy to his forever family! If you are interested in Rusty, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##1773501##

Story
Honey is a young adult Terrier mix weighing a whopping 6lbs.  Honey was dumped at a shelter with 7 puppies when they were just born.  6/7 puppies survived the terrifying shelter situation and we brought them all to CO to a safe, loving foster family.  Honey's puppies are now ready to find their forever family, and so is Honey.   Honey is a great little dog.  She absolutely loves to zoom around the house with the fosters other dogs and loves to give love and snuggle up.  She love to be with her humans and spend as much time with them as possible.  She is just a super sweet, social, happy, loving dog, despite everything she has gone through.  We promised her, her true forever family is coming and she will never be in a terrifying shelter, trying to protect her babies again.  She deserves so much better, they all deserve so much better. If you are interested in adopting Honey, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2138096##

Story
Four-year-old Queenie rules her foster mom’s heart with sweetness and grace. The curly-coated 10-pound cutie loves snuggling and cuddling with her, resting her head on her, hiding under the covers and then dancing daintily about. Easygoing with a touch of independence, she also enjoys curling up on her foster mom’s lap or sitting contentedly by her chair on the floor. Occasionally playing with small toys and chewing bones, she especially enjoys going for long walks, expressing her joy at being out and about by the happy bounce in her step! She calmly ignores the other dogs they pass, and although she’s gentle with youngsters, older children are more Queenie’s “cup of tea.” Motivated by food and love, eager to please and to learn, she currently knows “come” and “no,” and is diligently at work on both her crate and house-training. Now all this petite queen of hearts needs is a loving home, preferably with other playful pups, and patient adopters to complete her training, including her commands, and keep that happy bounce in her step fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household.
