Story
Are you looking for a gentle soul to share your quiet home with? Meet Tina, a lovely senior dog with a heart full of love to give. At around 10 years old, Tina is the perfect age for those seeking a calm and serene companion. She is sweet and a touch shy so she may take a little time to warm up to new people and environments. Due to this, any kids in the home should be old enough to go slow with her in the beginning. Once she feels safe, her affectionate and loyal nature shines through. She loves nothing more than to be in your lap! Don`t let her age deter you - Tina still has plenty of spirit and love to give! What I Need In a Home:* Older children recommended**I can be adopted with my sister, Selena**

Story
Yoko, because YOLO! Go on, adopt this cutie! Yoko is a 2 year old, 9 lbs Yorkie mix looking for his best buddy. Yoko is dog friendly, rides well in a car, and sleeps perfectly soundly at night with his foster mom…in the bed, of course. Yoko is a friendly, sweet, fun boy and while he’s nearly perfect, he can be a little rotten, too. So, his foster mom recommends a crate for this critter when left unsupervised. Yoko is being fostered in Parker, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/yoko/. You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Meet Amy, a 5-pound female Yorkie with a heart full of curiosity and a spirit ready to explore her new world. Though she can be a little shy and cautious at first, you can quickly win her over with some gentle chin scratches.Amy has a friendly, calm demeanor and gets along wonderfully in playgroup, often seen running with her little dog friends and exploring her brand-new surroundings. While she doesn't know how to walk on a leash just yet, her curiosity will surely lead her to become a confident leash walker with some time and patience. Her love for treats, especially cheese, will be a great help in her training.Amy is a connoisseur of cheese; if she gets a bite, she will put it in her mouth, swirl it around, spit it out, and put it back in, savoring all the flavors and notes that specific cheese holds. This little teddy bear will surely grab your heartstrings and never let go.Are you ready to welcome this sweet, curious Yorkie into your home? Amy is eager to find her forever family and share her endless affection and playful spirit.- - - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with patience and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
