Downton is an affectionate 11 lb, 9 years young, healthy senior who has lived in a loving and well cared for home his whole life! He is a loving lap dog extradinaire, reliably housebroken to peepads, crate trained, walks great on a leash, sleeps through the night, has lived with other dogs, and only wants to be near his human. Will be a wonderful companion If you are interested in two, Downton has lived with Abbey his entire life, they are currently happily separated but not bonded-they get along well. He is a sweet little man with a strong desire to get out of the shelter and into a mellow home where he can get back to being a loving companion. Duck Duck Goose arrived at the shelter after his owner could no longer care for him. Poor Duck Duck Goose is feeling a bit overwhelmed by this change so he would appreciate a quiet home with folks that have the time and resources to give him the care he needs. He has the type of hair that keeps growing so he needs to see the doggie groomer every few months to keep his hair free from painful mattings. He’s a high maintenance pooch but he is worth it!
