Story
Meet Lilianna! She is a 4-year-old, 22 lb, Yorkie Terrier mix who was found as a stray in CA and is currently in a foster home. She is shy and skittish, and it will take some time to win her heart. She can be nervous and does not enjoy long car rides or new places. She is potty trained/house trained. She is a happy dog with lots of energy. She is very smart and playful with other dogs. She would love to have another dog in the home. She could possibly be an only dog but she would need a home where someone is home most of the time. She is extremely smart but has a sense of independence. She's stubborn and will listen when she's ready. She is a high flight risk since she won't come on command. She is quick and will dart out an open door and can be an escape artist. Due to her tendency to run, we are looking for a home for her within a 10-mile radius of the Edmonds area. We are looking for an adult only home for her with no children or grandchildren. She is spayed and microchipped. She's up to date on vaccination, and her fee is $550.

Story
We got Buddy around Christmas from a family member who is no longer able to care for a pet. Buddy has spent the past 7 months learning potty training in the backyard from our other dogs. He does ok on walks. Sleeps in a crate at night. We need to rehome him because he is really pestering one of our dogs. He can be food-aggressive and doesn't like to have stuff taken out of his mouth. Otherwise he is a sweet boy. Likes to snuggle up next to us. He has become used to grooming (at home) twice a month and does well with it. Does well with tooth brushing with dental wipes, not a toothbrush. We are sad to have to rehome but have felt like our other dog is not happy with our current situation. An ideal adopter would have no other pets, a fenced yard and owners available to spend time with him. Harness/leash and Car seat/bed included in adoption fee. Currently up to date on shots. Vet records will be provided.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Josie is a darling little yorkie who is looking for a yorkie knowledgeable new home.  If submitting our adoption application, please include your groomer reference (required) phone number.  If you know this breed, you should know what they should and should not be eating as well.   She is a sweet, darling little companion - 95% of the time.  Her 5% is her diva attitude on occasion with other chosen dogs.  Since being with us, she's only done this when she didn't want to share a lap with another.  She took correction fine.   She's pretty confident and outgoing.  She's also been around kids and has done well with them.   If you think this might be the new girl for you, please submit our adoption application to get the process started.  Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 9:00 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Benji! Benji is a charming male Yorkie who was found abandoned at a local dog park in San Antonio. Born around August 16, 2018, and weighing 14.6 pounds, Benji has a lovable side but also exhibits some snappy behavior when he’s not comfortable or doesn’t want to be handled. Despite his past challenges, Benji is a sweet and affectionate dog who just needs a bit of understanding and patience. Benji is very affectionate with those he trusts and will happily roll over to offer his belly for belly rubs, as long as you don’t attempt to correct him or administer medication. He can be wary of new people and situations, so he requires a home with an owner who understands his fearful behavior and can help him feel secure. Benji does best in a home without children and thrives with a gentle, patient touch. He enjoys playing with other dogs and has a fondness for toys. He is potty trained and walks well on a leash, making him a well-rounded companion in the right environment. Benji is fully vetted and has received a ProHeart 6 vaccine, providing heartworm prevention until February 16, 2025. His adoption fee is $400. If you’re experienced with fearful behavior and ready to offer a loving, patient home, Benji might be the perfect match for you. Apply to adopt him today at www.adoggie4you.org and give Benji the safe, loving home he needs. Welcome Benji into your life and enjoy the companionship of this sweet and special Yorkie! Benji is only available for local Texas adoption  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 6:46 pm

Story
He is looking for his family! Will you be mine? Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com Excited for forever home! Micah is a yorkie/min pin/chi around 3 .5 yr old and about 10 lbs.  He came from same home as Peter aka Pedro is a  2.5 yr old male Terrier (maybe some rat terrier....who knows) about 12 lb but it is hard to adopt out bonded pairs.  So, Micah needs to be placed probably in an active retired couple home with Yorkie experience and with another small dog .  He is semi energetic that likes the company of another small dog and loves his dog beds.    He is in a foster home with lots of  Chi foster brothers/sisters. He love dog beds, doggie blankets, dog harnesses and toys.  He acts grouchy, but it is all for show.  Once you pick him up and carry him around he is okay.. Are great companion for active retirees with a securely fenced yard that like small dogs..    He  should be okay with small dog polite children (over 12 yrs of age) but better with no children.  Small dog experience is recommended. He is an indoor dog.   L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with  rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees. August 18, 2024, 10:29 pm

Story
Oh so handsome, that's our BO! A 7 month old LhasaPoo, this little man will steal your heart. So soft, a lover boy, already so good on house manners, good on a leash, and a fantastic rider in the car - he even comes with his own car seat! Bo came to us through no fault of his own, and deserves to find his forever family ASAP! Bo will be a nice small but sturdy size when full grown, estimating 15-18#. A perfect good buddy, trail walker, coffee shop partner or couch cuddler. Bo knows several commands already including crate, and he wiill sleep or rest in his crate, but his preference is that he sleeps with you. Bo is great with other dogs so far, but has also lived as an only dog, so he will be good in whatever family situation. Bo will be adopted with a contract and deposit to ensure neuter within 60 days of adoption.

Story
* Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family. *Please note that adoptions for our adult dogs will occur after their scheduled Spay/Neuter surgeries.

Story
Meet John Lydon "Johnny" (aka Slick), the tiny yet mighty Japanese Chin/Chihuahua mix with a big personality packed into a 2-pound frame! Slick is brave, curious, and thinks he's much larger than he is. This playful pup loves to chase, wrestle, and chew on everything to soothe his puppy teeth, so be careful-he forgets his size! Slick is very social and gets along well with other dogs, but he needs a playmate his size to match his energy. After his intense play sessions, he sleeps soundly and doesn't appreciate being woken up early, showing off his adorable grumpy face. This little guy doesn't like the cold and will shake, so keep him dressed warmly or ensure he has a cozy spot in air-conditioned environments. Johnny uses pee pads and is great at letting you know when he needs to go. He'll use a designated potty area if you set one up. Slick sleeps in a crate or a pen with his brother Jimi, often cuddling together in their pineapple bed or on a dog bed. The two are inseparable and do everything together. Johnny is food-motivated and a sweet cuddler when he wants to be, often curling up around your neck for a nap. If you're looking for a playful, social, and affectionate companion, Johnny is ready to bring his spunky spirit and endless love into your home. Come meet this little dynamo at Little Dog Rescue and let him steal your heart! * Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue.
