Story
Good with other dogs • Good with children • Sits well in a car • Good with cats Meet Piquet, a gentle and independent little lady who enjoys observing and learning about her surroundings. She’s not overly needy and can entertain herself, but she also loves being held, petted, and talked to—when it’s cuddle time, she’s all in! Piquet has excellent manners, is as quiet as a mouse, and is very gentle. She loves to stretch her legs in a fenced yard, zipping around to show off her speed. At night, she sleeps peacefully in a small playpen at the foot of the bed with her foster sister, and she enjoys an afternoon nap in her dog bed in the living room. She’s currently using puppy pads indoors and on the back porch, and her foster family is helping her transition to more outdoor potty breaks. During the day, Piquet stays busy patrolling whatever space she’s in, speed-walking lap after lap until something else catches her attention—whether it’s a distraction, a cuddle break, or a well-earned nap. She’s still a bit cautious around people and needs to be approached slowly, but once she’s on a lap, she melts into relaxation, often drifting off to sleep within minutes. If you’re looking for a quiet, observant, and affectionate companion, Piquet might be the perfect match!

Story
Good with other dogs • Food motivated • Tolerates toddlers but is nervous with fast movements Meet Tripoli, a sweet and affectionate little dog who loves to be pampered! She enjoys being brushed and bathed—she might even think of it as a spa day. Above all, she wants to be near her people and would thrive in a quiet home where she can spend her days by your side. Tripoli is spunky, courageous, and a little bit silly. She sleeps in bed with her foster at night and naps happily on the floor or couch during the day. She currently uses potty pads indoors and hasn’t been too eager to venture outside in the snow. While she’s very loving, Tripoli can be nervous around loud noises and fast movements. She paces when she’s anxious and has some separation anxiety—she becomes very distressed when she’s not near her preferred person. A calm, low-key home would be ideal for her, and she may be a great match for a retired couple or someone who is home most of the time. She has tolerated her foster’s toddler but gets nervous if there’s too much sudden movement. When visiting a friend’s house with energetic kids, she became very anxious, so she’ll be happiest in a peaceful environment. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be close to you, Tripoli could be the perfect fit!

Story
Good with other dogs • Good with children • Sits well in a car Scrabble is an absolute joy. She is independent while also attentive to her people. She is curious and playful. She loves looking out of windows, tossing her chew toys, and cuddling on laps. She eats and sleeps well, and likes to have fun. She would do well in a home with other small dogs or by herself as the main attraction. Scrabble has been sleeping well at night in a small playpen in her foster's bedroom. She has slept quietly for 8-hour stretches. When she wakes, she is ready for potty and playtime. During the day, she naps happily in a dog bed on the floor. Scrabble is doing very well going potty on puppy pads in the house and on the back porch. Her foster is working on having the majority of her pottying done on the back porch pads for outdoor practice. Scrabble is still a bit timid with initial contact with people. She is cautious with the first touch but quickly becomes comfortable and loves to be petted and even enjoys a little wrestling. She has only been around children as young as 8 years old, with whom she did great. She has displayed no aggression whatsoever.

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Milo from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 5 year old male Maltese.  I am about 5.5 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive every day and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,595 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application.     December 18, 2024, 11:17 pm

Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi, my name is Joey from Korea and I a m a wonderful 7 year-old male Maltese, weighing only 6 lbs.   I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in Korea, where dogs like me endure unimaginable cruelty and hardship. Thankfully, compassionate rescuers saved me and gave me the chance to experience something I’d never known before, hope.  I’m a gentle and affectionate companion who loves being around people, including kind children. I get along well with other dogs and would enjoy a family who can shower me with attention and affection.  I’d do best in a home with a family who understands that rescued dogs need patience and time to adjust.  We recommend working with our skilled pet rescue trainer. My adoption fee of   $995 (tax-deductible and essential for supporting future rescues) c  overs Spay/Neuter,  DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations,  Deworming and Heartworm testing,  Microchipping,  Boarding fees, health certificate, and airline transport from Korea to Seattle.  For safety, all adopted dogs must have a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag. You can bring your own or purchase one from us.    Your support allows Ginger’s Pet Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to continue its lifesaving work and provide critical medical care for animals in  need.    Email  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  to request an adoption application or to learn more about me. Donations to help with vet bills at Greenwood Vet are always appreciated—they make rescues like mine possible.     March 7, 2025, 10:35 pm
