Story
ADOPTION FEE: $425 From her wonderful foster 2/14: "Betty Boop is a delightful and affectionate girl who thrives on human companionship. She'll follow you around, forming a strong bond with her person. While she enjoys mental and physical stimulation, she's equally content to relax on the couch and cuddle with you all day. Betty loves puzzles, sniff mats, and lick mats, keeping her engaged and happy. She has recently started playing with toys and gets the silliest Zoomies! She will have a blast in the snow! She adores cuddling and will happily spend hours by your side, offering unconditional love. Betty needs a patient owner who can help her overcome her fears. She's not a fan of bikes, people running up fast, or seeing other dogs, but with time and patience, could improve. A fenced-in yard is ideal for her to explore safely. She would do best as the only dog in the household. She enjoys outdoor activities but requires an owner who is mindful of her sensitivities. Betty Boop would thrive in a quiet home where she can be the center of attention. If you're looking for a dog who will make you laugh and provide endless cuddles, Betty Boop is the perfect companion." Story
ADOPTION FEE: $450 Meet Prickly Pear! This gorgeous girl came to us with a hernia which is currently being treated. She has come to Colorado in search of her forever home! From her amazing foster: (3/13) "She’s doing great post surgery. She loves her people and other dogs. She’s got some pretty brittle nails. Several have broken during walks. We are trying to keep her in grass or dirt for exercise. We have only been keeping her in the pen, not the crate. She doesn’t love either, but it’s easier for us to get her into the pen. Once there, she’s fine. She will need some patience with house training. We’ve got her on a pretty good schedule, but she still has accidents. She’s an absolute lover. Still pretty skittish around different household noises. She’s sometimes a little worried around men, she cowers and often runs away. She’s definitely my shadow. She’s not aggressive with toys at all. She’s made our Lola a better dog. They get along beautifully." Story
ADOPTION FEE: $425 Meet Beam! This adorable boy is such a big cuddle bug! He is a tripod baby and wants nothing but love. Unfortunately we are not sure what happened to him but he had a broken leg and they decided to amputate it. His other leg is going to need a TPLO surgery (covered by All Aboard Animal Rescue) and he is ready for his forever home who can provide him with enough love and care. If you are looking for a huge cuddle meatball, this is your man! He LOVES other dogs and all people! Beam is currently being fostered by one of AAAR's staff members, here is what she has to say about him! "Beam is actual perfection in a giant body. The epitome of a gentle giant. He is incredible with other dogs, he tolerates my crazy pit so well. My personal dog can be rambunctious and play rough, and even with three legs and an injured leg he does great with her. He is so gentle with other dogs AND cats, he also adores just about every human he meets. He is still navigating how to get around with three legs, having an injured back leg does not help, but that does not stop him. He still sploots every chance he can. I call it his mermaid pose instead. On hardwood floors, he tends to slip a bit more into his mermaid pose but it does not seem to bother him! He is potty trained and crate trained (he does need a leave push to get into his crate). He is also fantastic on leash and does not pull! The only time there is ever tension on the leash is when he decides he does not want to walk. He is great at listening when you point to go to his bed, he also knows sit and paw! He will continue to paw you over and over again too. He can be a bit dramatic when being told to do something he does not want to do and he will throw both of his front paws in the air and fall to the side. He sleeps incredibly through the night, I have to be the one to wake him up. His one flaw is that he snores like a bear, but it does not bother me to know that he feels happy and safe enough to sleep as hard as he does. Beam would make the perfect addition to literally any family who wants a gentle giant. Having three legs does not stop him and it shouldn't stop you either from adding this incredibly boy into your family" PREVIOUS SHELTER NOTES: Shake - https://youtube.com/shorts/ppezKmmDHWA   Staff notes - Very friendly and wiggly boy, loves people, knows tricks, lived with another dog, and is still in good spirits despite having a broken leg Meeting dogs - https://youtube.com/shorts/bdqVCUx8vsU With big and small dogs - https://youtube.com/shorts/NFJEHGF-w6A With cat and dogs - https://youtube.com/shorts/SLhNMO_GXj0 Beam is the sweetest boy with the cutest piggie snorts! Story
Meet Tippy, a gentle girl looking for the perfect companion. While having the heart of a quiet neighborhood with her soft, soulful eyes and delicate frame, she’s the sweetest companion you could imagine. Tippy has a unique charm about her—she loves nothing more than being gently spoken to in soft, soothing tones, as if she's the baby of the house. You’ll often catch her tilting her head in that adorable way, eyes wide, as if she's soaking in every word of affection. She is the kind of dog who values peace, quiet, and the simple joy of being near her favorite humans. However, playing with other dogs is one of Tippy's favorite things! It gives her the boost of confidence she needs to let her true personality shine and show her playful side! If you’re looking for a quiet companion who just wants to be your best friend, Tippy might be the one you’ve been waiting for. Could you be the patient, loving family Tippy needs to blossom into the confident, affectionate dog she’s destined to be?

Story
Meet your favorite guy. Baguette, aka Jigsaw, aka Mr. Bags, is a sleepy boy who likes to play for about 3 minutes a day. He's a sucker for a sleepy spot on the sun and even allows you to hold him like a baby. Back leg scratches are the best. If you want a rather independent, cuddly, quiet, and mannered man, look no further. If you want a dog that loves walks, swipe left because this is not the one. He will let you know when he is done by sitting politely and giving you the side eye.   Baguette has some continuing medical needs. Story
Beautiful Beth is a 6-7 month old, female, American Bulldog mix. She’s a petite girl, around 30 lbs but does have some growing left to do. Beth is very good with other dogs and has won over even the most stubborn dog’s heart. She’s outgoing, friendly, and sweet to all humans she meets. Her favorite spot is snuggled up on the couch with her human and canine friends. Don’t be fooled though – this girl has moves and can get up and run around with the best of them. Beth is doing great with her house and crate training. She first entered the shelter with bilateral cherry eyes and her eyes were very irritated and swollen. She’s being treated for dry eye and it’s unclear if that will resolve on it’s own now that her swelling is down or if she will need to remain on cyclosporine and artificial tears. She takes them both like a champ, though! Beth is being fostered in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/beth/. Story
Available to the right adopter, who either has experience with scared dogs, or is willing to continue with her training. After spending several months with Ellie, she tells me she's for someone who is very physical. Like a long distance runner, or someone who is doing mountain climbing and would like a companion. Ellie is fantastic on the leash and will do best in a home with another confident dog and an owner who is going to take her running. Surely there's someone out there looking for an exercise partner!!!! Ellie is a precious Boxer mix, that is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes in timid, shy and scared dogs. She is approximately two years old. She is absolutely adorable and her eyes will melt your heart but she is still pretty shy. Her foster mom thinks she would do better in a quiet home with adults or older children to work with her. Another confident dog could be helpful, but not necessary. She is dog and cat friendly, when introduced to the cat, she didn't even notice her, because Ellie was concentrating on the human. She will need an adopter, who will give her love and patience. Please consider this adorable girl as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs, who adore their humans. (By the way, there is also discounted support/specialized training available in Fort Collins for owners of scared dogs) Her foster mom is located in Loveland, Colorado.

Story
Baby Girl is a wonderful 4 year old Olde English Bulldog, weighing in at 80 lbs! She would make a great family dog as she is house trained and crate trained, low energy and sure loves her groceries - so she's very food motivated! She doesn't care much for other female dogs and does alright with male dogs, but would really thrive in a home as an only dog since she has that bossy bulldog demeanor. If you think you have the right home for a giant couch potato Olde English, apply for Baby Girl today and come meet her at our Wellington facility!
