Story
Beautiful Beth is a 6-7 month old, female, American Bulldog mix. She’s a petite girl, around 30 lbs but does have some growing left to do. Beth is very good with other dogs and has won over even the most stubborn dog’s heart. She’s outgoing, friendly, and sweet to all humans she meets. Her favorite spot is snuggled up on the couch with her human and canine friends. Don’t be fooled though – this girl has moves and can get up and run around with the best of them. Beth is doing great with her house and crate training. She first entered the shelter with bilateral cherry eyes and her eyes were very irritated and swollen. She’s being treated for dry eye and it’s unclear if that will resolve on it’s own now that her swelling is down or if she will need to remain on cyclosporine and artificial tears. She takes them both like a champ, though! Beth is being fostered in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/beth/. Story
Christine “Chris” Farley (don’t even act like you don’t see it, too) is bootilicious, 4-5 year old, female, American Bulldog. This girl is THICC, but, as her foster mom would say, athletic. Chris LOVES to play fetch. She’d play fetch with you all day long if you’d let her. She’s a very happy-go-lucky, friendly girl and the shelter wasn’t kidding when they said she’s never had a bad day. Even when she was euthanasia listed, Chris still wore a bulldog smile! This sweet, dog friendly girl, is approximately 85 lbs. She could shed a pound or two, but is in general, a large girl. Despite being all white, she can both see and hear! Chris will sleep on a dog bed if you make her, but she’s also super happy to crawl up in bed with her foster mom and canine brother. She’s well-mannered in a home and both house and crate trained. Christine Farley is being fostered in Castle Rock, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/christine-farley/. Story
ADOPTION FEE: $425 From her wonderful foster 2/14: "Betty Boop is a delightful and affectionate girl who thrives on human companionship. She'll follow you around, forming a strong bond with her person. While she enjoys mental and physical stimulation, she's equally content to relax on the couch and cuddle with you all day. Betty loves puzzles, sniff mats, and lick mats, keeping her engaged and happy. She has recently started playing with toys and gets the silliest Zoomies! She will have a blast in the snow! She adores cuddling and will happily spend hours by your side, offering unconditional love. Betty needs a patient owner who can help her overcome her fears. She's not a fan of bikes, people running up fast, or seeing other dogs, but with time and patience, could improve. A fenced-in yard is ideal for her to explore safely. She would do best as the only dog in the household. She enjoys outdoor activities but requires an owner who is mindful of her sensitivities. Betty Boop would thrive in a quiet home where she can be the center of attention. If you're looking for a dog who will make you laugh and provide endless cuddles, Betty Boop is the perfect companion." Story
ADOPTION FEE: $425 Meet Beam! This adorable boy is such a big cuddle bug! He is a tripod baby and wants nothing but love. Unfortunately we are not sure what happened to him but he had a broken leg and they decided to amputate it. His other leg is going to need a TPLO surgery (covered by All Aboard Animal Rescue) and he is ready for his forever home who can provide him with enough love and care. If you are looking for a huge cuddle meatball, this is your man! He LOVES other dogs and all people! Beam is currently being fostered by one of AAAR's staff members, here is what she has to say about him! "Beam is actual perfection in a giant body. The epitome of a gentle giant. He is incredible with other dogs, he tolerates my crazy pit so well. My personal dog can be rambunctious and play rough, and even with three legs and an injured leg he does great with her. He is so gentle with other dogs AND cats, he also adores just about every human he meets. He is still navigating how to get around with three legs, having an injured back leg does not help, but that does not stop him. He still sploots every chance he can. I call it his mermaid pose instead. On hardwood floors, he tends to slip a bit more into his mermaid pose but it does not seem to bother him! He is potty trained and crate trained (he does need a leave push to get into his crate). He is also fantastic on leash and does not pull! The only time there is ever tension on the leash is when he decides he does not want to walk. He is great at listening when you point to go to his bed, he also knows sit and paw! He will continue to paw you over and over again too. He can be a bit dramatic when being told to do something he does not want to do and he will throw both of his front paws in the air and fall to the side. He sleeps incredibly through the night, I have to be the one to wake him up. His one flaw is that he snores like a bear, but it does not bother me to know that he feels happy and safe enough to sleep as hard as he does. Beam would make the perfect addition to literally any family who wants a gentle giant. Having three legs does not stop him and it shouldn't stop you either from adding this incredibly boy into your family" PREVIOUS SHELTER NOTES: Shake - https://youtube.com/shorts/ppezKmmDHWA   Staff notes - Very friendly and wiggly boy, loves people, knows tricks, lived with another dog, and is still in good spirits despite having a broken leg Meeting dogs - https://youtube.com/shorts/bdqVCUx8vsU With big and small dogs - https://youtube.com/shorts/NFJEHGF-w6A With cat and dogs - https://youtube.com/shorts/SLhNMO_GXj0 Beam is the sweetest boy with the cutest piggie snorts! Story
Sporty Spots is a very handsome Saint Bernard American Bulldog mix that weighs about 80 pounds! He absolutely loves people and loves to get attention and belly rubs! He will sit with his head in your lap getting all the head scratches for hours if you let him. He is a goofball and is sure to make you laugh and smile everyday.  Spots is a super friendly and outgoing dog. He is good with children that are aged 14 and over! He loves toys, and he also loves to play in water. He is the kind of dog that would love to play in the sprinklers and have his own little pool he can play in. He really loves to play with balls, he will chase them all day. Spots would do best in a home that has a backyard for him to run around in.  Spots does well with some dogs that are his size or larger. Spots will need to go to a home that has a strong handler and has owned large dogs before. So far, he has learned to sit, stay, and lay down.  Overall, Spots is an amazing dog that is waiting for his forever home. He is very loyal and very friendly with other people. He also is very protective of his home and loves to keep patrol of his yard! He loves toys and water and would make the perfect travel buddy!
