Story
This is our sweet precious Lucy. Lucy had an owner but her owner used to turn her out every day to wander the streets. A friend of the rescue would pick her up when she saw her and bring her home. She feared that Lucy would get hit by a car so one day when she returned her home, she asked the owners if they would surrender her to a rescue. They agreed and Lucy arrived here happy as a clam. She's a big girl, not fat, just a big girl. She's a very gentle big girl, sleeps in my bed with all the little ones sleeping on top of her! She loves children and cats. She was heart worm positive when she arrived but we have cleared all of that up. Lucy maybe a little older at 8 years but she has the energy of a puppy. She loves to play all day with the rest of the shelter dogs. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and house broken. She needs her forever home, could that be you? PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $350

Story
This beautiful girl is called Daisy White and she was born to a bulldog mix mama and we believe Dad was a Great Pyrenees mix himself. Born June 1st in a litter of 10, this girl is currently 20 lbs at 8 and 1/2 weeks. She knows her name and she loves to play with her siblings. She is one of the more energetic of the pups in her litter if you could call any of them really energetic. They lounge around in the sunroom and sleep inside a large crate or out on the floor and they just basically move at the speed of a snail. Extra skin, big paws,  beautiful droopy hang dog eyes and a heart to love you, that's what you get with these puppies. Daisy White loves to give kisses and Will crawl in your lap to get some hugs and cuddles. She knows commands and is learning to come to her name. If you tell her to 'go to your room' she goes. She's learned three or four commands like how to stay and how to lay down. She is also curious about the cat because she wants it to play with her. But alas, the cat has no interest in playing with a goofy, big bodied puppy that doesn't know her size. She should grow to be a 75 to 85 lb dog as an adult. She is gorgeous and she is a snuggler. If you are interested, please contact Critter Calvary rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com ASAP.    PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

I love being close to my people, so youll usually find me right by your side, following you from room to room. Im a little shy at first, but once I warm up, Im all about cuddles and affection. I get along great with other dogs and kids, and I especially love women. Ive got a medium energy level, so Im up for walksboth long and shortbut I also enjoy my downtime, napping in a cozy spot near you. Im still learning the ropes when it comes to training, but Im a quick learner and eager to please. I can be a bit skittish with loud noises and sometimes get nervous around new people, but with a little patience, Ill come around. Id love to find a forever home where someone is home oftenIm happiest when Im with my people. I get along great with other dogs, so Id do well with a furry friend to help me settle in, but I can also be the only dog as long as I get plenty of love and attention. If youre looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, I might just be the perfect fit for you! My foster guardian says: "She is such a Velcro dog! She follows me everywhere." Likes: Walks! Story
Please contact Destiny Sibert (DestinyS@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Bull dog babe looking for love! BLUEBELL NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!  Name:  Bluebell         Best Guess for Breed:  Bulldog and terrier mix Best Guess for Age:  8 years as of July 2024         SEX: Female   Approximate Weight: 33 lbs   Gets Along With:    Bluebell gets along with other dogs, but likes to be in charge so would do best in a home where the resident dog is more submissive. Bluebell has done well with kids that have approached her at adoption events and passed her cat test at the shelter, however we always recommend slow, monitored introductions.   Currently Living at:  DC area boarding facility   Special adoption considerations: Because of her breed, Bluebell must be walked using a harness and she cannot be out in the heat too long or she will have difficulty breathing.    Bluebell is Looking For:  Her forever home! This utterly adorable girl, through no fault of her own, now needs a new home. She is oh so eager to once again have her own humans to watch adoringly as she curls up on the sofa with them. In the air conditioning! And to amble together on sniffy walks. To love for all her days. She's well out of the puppy yips and as a wise, experienced dog, gets that the most important thing is to be safe and loved and under her own roof.    Just look at that face. What do you say? Is she why you'll participate with audio only in all your upcoming WFH Zoom meetings, so you can gaze at her, besotted, while making occasional sounds of agreement to imply you're participating? What My Foster Says About Me:   Bluebell has only been with us a couple of days, but so far we can tell that she is a sweet girl that wants to be around her people at all times! She enjoys treats and a good scratch to her ears and belly as well as cuddling up on the couch with her family when it's time to rest. She is a curious and energetic girl for being 8 years old. She loves playtime and multiple short walks throughout the day (so she doesn't overheat). She's good on a leash unless she sees another dog or a squirrel then she'll pull to investigate.  When it comes to doggy playtime, she likes to be the boss so submissive doggy siblings would be ideal for Bluebell.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. To learn more about Nugget, please get in touch with his foster at fetchinginn@gmail.com Hello, I'm Nugget! I love to play! I'll fetch and chase with all my toys, but I'm very responsible in the house and won't touch anything I shouldn't. I sometimes growl like a dragon when I get really playful, but just me talking, and I'm very gentle. I know all my basic commands, walk nicely on the leash, and eat all my approved doggie vegetables. I've had many doggie roommates and do well with non-dominant dogs once I get over my initial excitement of meeting them. I'm still a bit nervous around human strangers and do best with new people who approach me with care, but warm up once I get to know you - especially if you carry a piece of cheese in your hand! I hope to meet my forever playmates soon, who can help me feel secure and calm and be my best self!

I aquired him through an online app a lady could not keep him because he likes to jump and she has 2 autistic children. I took him to prevent him from going into a shelter. I have a 4yr old pomeranian and she does not like him at all. I have tried to rehomed him with other families but from a lady with hip problems to another pit being too aggressive. It just hasn't worked out but. I can't keep him he's terrorizing "playing" with my dog who does not want to play with him at all. He's a year and 2 months.

Story
My family adopted Ava in September 2018 from the Humane Rescue Alliance. We estimate her to be around 7 years old. She is a good family dog for families with kids no younger than 12 or 13. With a good walk schedule, she is very chill for the rest of the day. I usually take her on 2-3 30-45 minute walks and she lays down for almost the entire rest of the day. She is crate trained (and she loves her crate!) and does not go on furniture unless she is invited. She is very loyal, very loving, and loves to cuddle.

Good with: Dogs, kids Not tested with: Cats House trained: Yes Energy level: Medium Noise level: Some, when someone is at the door Hi, I'm Ripley! I was once a victim of neglect, but now I'm looking for a loving home where I can blossom. I'm a sweet, gentle girl who needs a confident doggy friend and a kind, patient human to help me come out of my shell and show me how wonderful life can be. I may be a little scared and shy at first, but I promise I'm worth the effort to get to know. When I feel safe and confident, I love freely, craving head scratches, playing with stuffed toys, and having zoomies in the backyard. My favorite thing about myself is how gentle and loving I ama total sweetheart! I have a medium energy level, and I'm both gentle and friendly. I enjoy short walks and zoomies, but I'm terrified of fireworks and car rides. Despite this, I love going on walks and being with my favorite humans. I'm still working on my training and don't know basic commands yet, but I'm housetrained and somewhat crate trained. On walks, I'm well-mannered, get along with other dogs, and handle distractions like bikes and skateboards pretty well. I need a quiet environment because I get nervous around new people. I need time to come out of my shell, but once I trust someone, I like them very much. I get along with all kids and dogs and am interested in cats, though I haven't had close contact with them. My daily routine includes morning and evening walks, and I have access to a yard, but I prefer staying indoors with the air conditioning when it's hot. I don't shed much and don't need grooming. I'd do well in an apartment, would be great for a first-time dog owner, and would love someone who works from home or is home often. I can't wait to find my forever home and share all my love! My foster guardian says: Ripley is gentle and loving - total sweetheart. Likes: Short walks, zoomies Dislikes: Fireworks, riding in the car My ideal home: Id prefer to have an owner who is home often, but Id be good in an apartment and for a first time dog owner. Story
Good with: Dogs Not tested with: Cats, kids House trained: Yes Energy level: Medium Noise level: Some Hey there I'm Gabby, a bubbly mixed-breed pup with a hop in my step and a heart of gold! With my soft speckled white and tan fur and soulful yellow/brown eyes I'm quite the charmer. Despite a shoulder injury in my past I've mastered a unique hop-like gait that sets me apart. When it comes to manners I've got them down pat - no accidents in the house and I prefer to savor my meals rather than scarf them down. Now let's talk about my absolute favorite thing: morning walks! There's nothing that gets me more excited than exploring the world outside. Walks dont have to be limited in time or distance as far as my foster mom can tell: I have the same energy and enthusiasm as any other dog. I'm friendly with other dogs but I can be a bit standoffish at first. I prefer smaller playgroups and may get overwhelmed in crowded dog parks. I love playing with toys and you might catch me zooming around the yard with one in my mouth. I also love a good game of fetch and will always bring the toy/ball back to you. I might even surprise you with how high I can jump! When it comes to affection, I'm all in! I adore cuddles and scratches. I'll also keep you company while you work from home while I lounge on the couch. Need to leave the house? I might whine a bit initially but with a distraction like a tasty treat I'm just fine and quiet down quickly. I'm great at "sit" "come" and "wait", but could use some training on walking on a leash. I am overly interested in squirrels and other small animals but my foster mom is helping me with leash manners and I'm making quick progress. If you're looking for a well-mannered affectionate companion who's always up for an adventure look no further than yours truly. I can't wait to hop into your heart and home! My foster guardian says: Gabby is the absolute sweetest pup and is the perfect mix of active outside but calm and affectionate inside. If youre looking for a sweet little mix breed look no further than Gabby! Likes: Toys, bones, scratches, sunbathing, morning walks, lounging on the couch My ideal home: I am pretty flexible and would be happy in a variety of homes! I've happily lived in the city and in the suburbs, with other dogs and without in the home thanks to my foster families. Please visit our website www.ruraldogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other dogs available for adoption!
