STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Gnocchi and I'm an extra special boy! My foster mom saved me from being euthanized at an over crowded shelter.  I already know the commands "SIT" "SHAKE" and "DOWN". I love other dogs and I LIVE for playing with stuffed toys! They are my favorite thing in this whole wide world! I especially love squeaky toys! I don't try to escape or dig out of my fenced in yard. I would prefer to have a fenced yard instead of a tie out because they freak me out a little bit, though I'm not afraid of loud noises and my foster mom says I'm a joy to have around and she is really going to miss me when I find me "forever family." If you think that you could be his person, please fill out an application. Thank you! Love, Gnocchi. If you have questions about me you can email my foster mom at heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess.   BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter! If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Tsunami, but you can call me Tzu Tzu! I am the HAPPIEST girl ever - my tail never stops wagging! I love everyone that I meet. I would love an active family that would take me for walks or hikes - maybe even a jogging buddy would be great! I LOVE snacks and I've never guarded my food or toys. I would love a family with considerate kids. If you would like to know more about me or meet me, please fill out an application or email my foster mom heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org I sleep in my crate at night and haven;t had any accidents in there. My foster mom says she cant help but smile when I'm around. I know how to SIT on command really good, especially when there is a snack or meal at stake! If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application ASAP or email my foster mom at heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org My adoption fee has been sponsored, and I come with a leash, collar, treat, toys, food, crate and all sorts of other goodies as well. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Nezzie or Nez for short! I'm a super sweet girl and love everyone I meet! I love to play with toys and I also love to cuddle! I get along great with kitties and other dogs with proper intros! I would love a forever family or a foster family who can help me find my people. I am about 40lbs and full of love!  I would love to go on adventures, and I walk pretty good on a leash and am getting better with practice. I hold my potty and don't get into things I'm not supposed to. I take treats nicely and my foster mom says whoever adopts me will be SO lucky! If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an app or email heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org with any questions. My adoption fee is $SPONSORED and includes a leash, collar, treats, toy and my vetting up to date including microchip and spay! If you would like to foster me, all supplies are provided. I cant wait to hear from you! - Nez All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. Story
STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Meet Jerry (aka Boba, the Sneaky Snuggler) Jerry’s official name might be Boba, but around here, he’s known as Jerry. Why the name change, you ask? Well, his foster sister’s nickname is Bobo, and we didn’t want any confusion—because, let’s face it, Jerry has enough personality for two dogs already! Jerry is a lovable Pit Bull mix with a zest for life and a particular set of quirky habits. For starters, he absolutely loves a good game of tug of war. If there’s a rope, he’s ready to go. But his true passion lies in his stuffies. Jerry has made it his life’s mission to free every stuffed toy of its inner fluff. It’s like he’s on a secret mission to unstuff the world, one toy at a time. Despite his fierce determination in toy battles, Jerry has a soft side. He’s a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to sudden noises or new situations. But give him a few minutes, and he’ll be your best friend, showering you with affection and wagging his tail like there’s no tomorrow. Kids, adults, other dogs—Jerry loves them all! When it comes to bedtime, Jerry transforms into a professional snuggler. He’s mastered the art of finding the coziest spot and can sleep through pretty much anything. His snores are the soundtrack to a peaceful night. Bones are another one of Jerry’s great loves. Give him a bone, and he’ll be occupied for hours, happily gnawing away. But beware of your shoes! Jerry has a sneaky habit of stealing them and hiding them in the most unexpected places. It’s his little game of hide and seek, and he’s winning. So, if you’re looking for a dog with a big heart, a quirky personality, and a knack for keeping life interesting, Jerry is your guy. He might take your shoes, but he’ll also take your heart. Story
Hi, everypawdy! My name is Grace. I'm a beautiful, loving soul who is looking for a family to call my own. Walks, runs, and hikes are a few of my favorite hobbies. Attention and being pet are necessities as well, of course! A good cuddle at the end of a long day will fill me with joy. My foster family says I'm smart as a whip...I already know how to sit, heel, halt, and more! A good treat and some cuddles are enough to motivate to learn like a pro. I love being near my favorite humans, and playing with my favorite toys. If you want a reason to smile every single day, then I am the pup for your family. If you are interested in adopting Grace, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/rescue/ and email us with questions: adopt@bfp.org. Location: TULSA, OK
