Story
Poe is an 8 year old, SUPER cuddly, love bug. He’s looking for an individual or couple who will play with him to get his zoomies out then snuggle him on the couch when he’s exhausted. He is very territorial over his humans and toys; not the greatest sharer with other dogs. He needs a backyard to roam, run, play, and sniff out (for real, he’s a big sniffer)! He loves to follow you around the house, explore the outdoors, and chow down on his Kong toys. He will love you, unconditionally.

Story
Everyone, this is Candace. Candace has returned to MCAC through no fault of her own and was given up by her original adopter to someone who could no longer house her as they were moving. Luckily, she is back in our care, but this is not the place for any dog.Candace weighs 52 pounds and is already spayed and up-to-date on all vaccines. She loves human touch as long as you go slowly with her and will be the best cuddle-bug.She is definitely a shy girl and, since she was a puppy here at MCAC, has always been a bit more nervous of loud noises and overhead movements. If you have the patience and the loving kindness to show this girl what a REAL home can be, then this would be the girl that needs to be showered with affection, toys, and a nice warm bed to call her own.Candace was part of a pair of puppies that came to us from Warren but her brother was also adopted out last May. Come meet Candace and make this sweet girl part of your family. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $50

Story
Tori is a gentle and loving 4-year-old pitbull who may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, her beautiful personality shines through. She loves human attention and is always excited for a good cuddle session! Tori may need some time to settle into a new environment, but with patience and understanding, she’ll become your loyal companion, showering you with affection and loyalty. This sweet girl would thrive in a home with a backyard where she can run and play, letting off some of her energy and enjoying the outdoors. Tori is a social pup who enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely get along with cats if introduced properly. She loves making new friends and is always up for a playdate!Tori would do best in a home with older children or teens who can respect her space and move calmly around her, as she can be a little nervous around fast movements near her head. With her loving and calm nature, she’s sure to form a strong bond with anyone who treats her with kindness and patience. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who’ll be your shadow once she feels safe, Tori might just be the perfect fit for you. Could you be the family she’s waiting for?If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is sponsored!

Story
This little fireball is Benson!Benson came to us through no fault of his own and has adapted very well to shelter life, considering. Benson loves human touch and he absolutely loves to play with his toys. We are working on `leave it` and wait so he can learn better manners in this department. He learns quickly and was taught how to sit in about 5 minutes.Benson loves treats so he cannot wait to learn more tricks and commands in his new home. As he loves his toys SO much, we do not want Benson to go to a home with any small animals or cats. However, Benson does well with both male and female dogs so if you have a canine friend at home, they will need to come and meet Benson in person to make sure everyone meshes well.Come meet this cuddly ball of energy and all his friends today! If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $75

Story
Petey is a pitbull mix approximately five years old. He is neutered, micro chipped, and up-to-date on all of his shots. He is very sweet and loving, he is definitely a Velcro dog wants to be with his humans all the time. He likes a lot of attention and would do best in a home where he is the only dog, because of his size I would recommend being around older children. He thinks he is a lapdog. He is very strong on a leash, completely housebroken, very treat motivated and takes them gently. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
