She thrives on playtime and will keep you entertained with her playful antics. However, like many pups her age, she can be a bit mouthy at times. With patience and consistent training, she`ll learn the right ways to interact with her human friendsS.Shandy loves the company of other dogs and delights in playful romps with her furry pals. She would make a fantastic addition to a home with other canine companions. While she adores playtime, Shandy is best suited for a household with older children who understand her energy levels and can engage with her appropriately.Shandy is searching for a loving family who can provide her with plenty of love, exercise, and guidance. A home with a securely fenced yard where she can burn off her energy would be ideal. Regular walks, play sessions, and mental stimulation will keep her happy and content.Shandy is a sweet-natured pup with tons of potential. Story
Happy almost summer, everyone!! My name is Vetta and I`m the most adorable sweet Staffordshire mix girl. I weigh just under 60 pounds and that`s the biggest I`ll get. I have the most beautiful black and white coat that is very silky smooth to the touch. I love giving my human friends kisses and I do very well with playing with other fur friends here at the shelter.I`m so super smart! I know how to sit, shake (with BOTH paws), and lie down, as well!I hope you can come see me today so I can make my home with you and your family. I need a home to call my own where I can get hours and hours in of lots and lots of cuddles and snuggles. I am EXTREMELY excited by cats, so it is NOT a good idea to have feline friends in your home. If you have other dogs, however, I would love to meet them here at the shelter before you take me home.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. Story
Hey there, potential forever family! My name`s Johnny Cage, and I`m an 8-month-old Pitbull with a heart full of love and a whole lot of energy to share! I`m on the lookout for my perfect match - a family who can keep up with my playful antics and help me become the best boy I can be.I`m a bundle of joy and energy! Life`s just one big adventure to me, and I`m always ready to explore and have fun. Toys are my absolute favorite, and I could play fetch for hours if you let me! But don`t worry, I`m also a big cuddle bug. Once I`ve burned off some energy, I`m more than happy to curl up next to you for some quality snuggle time.I thrive in a home with older kids who can match my energy level and join me in all sorts of adventures! While I`m a sweetheart, my boundless enthusiasm might be a bit much for younger children. And as much as I love making new friends, I`m not too fond of those furry felines, so a home without cats would be best for me.Since I`m still a young pup, I`ll need a family who`s dedicated to helping me learn and grow. Training classes would be pawsome, and I promise to put my best paw forward to become the perfect pooch for you! And with all this energy of mine, a big fenced-in yard would be a dream come true. That way, I can run and play to my heart`s content in a safe space.Ready to Adopt? If you`re looking for a playful pup to bring joy and excitement into your life, look no further than Johnny Cage! I can`t wait to find my forever family and start our own amazing adventure together. So what do you say? Are you ready to open your heart and home to a furry friend like me? If so, let`s make it official! If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. Story
Hello, everyone! My name is Mama. Appropriately named due to having multiple litters of puppies, I know my name very well and can respond to it quickly with all my human friends here at the shelter.Since I lost my litters of puppies along the way, I was super scared when the nice officers brought me into the shelter. It took me about a week to come out of my shell and not be so scared, hiding in the kennel. However, after several nice members of the staff here gave me love, yummy treats and loving scratches and pets, I have become one of the sweetest, loving girls you`ve ever met. I know how to sit extremely well, but am very interested in learning more tricks. You can teach me these tricks easily using food/treat rewards. Unfortunately, my medical care wasn`t the greatest until I arrived here at the shelter so it took me until just recently to get all up-to-date on my shots and preventative care. Unfortunately, I tested Heartwork Positive so I will be receiving a regimented treatment plan until I`m all better.I can`t wait to find my home where someone can love me and ensure I have everything I need, both physically and medically.Come meet me and my friends here today. I can`t wait to become a part of your loving home.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. Story
Hazel is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment. Her recovery progress is going well under veterinary care, and she will need a loving family committed to helping her through her treatment and recovery journey.Despite her health challenges, Hazel is a ray of sunshine! She is incredibly playful and has a special fondness for toys.Hazel knows her basic commands such as sit, shake, and down, showcasing her intelligence and eagerness to learn. Her playful nature extends to other dogs, although she can be quite mouthy during play, so she would do best with canine companions who can match her energy. We recommend a home with older children, preferably 8 years old and up, who can engage with Hazel in a positive and understanding manner. We would also recommend a home without cats, due to her very high energy level and rough play.Hazel`s new family should be ready to continue her training and provide her with the exercise and mental stimulation she needs to thrive. With her striking hazel eyes and affectionate personality, Hazel has so much love to give to the right family. If you`re looking for a playful and resilient companion who will fill your home with joy, Hazel could be the perfect match for you!If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is SPONSORED
