Hello, I'm Kyle! I am 59 pounds and ready to rumble! I'm a nice guy but this place can be a little too much sometimes. You see, I'm only about 1.5 years old, but I've been passed around a bit already. Someone gave me away, then that person gave me to someone else, who brought me here. I've been trying very hard to be brave, and it's paid off, but I'm hoping I can just get out of the shelter and find myself a forever home. I'm told that's when some humans feed, love and play with you for the rest of your life. That sounds pretty good to me! I can be a little weary of strangers but once I get to know you, I'm all in! I'm a loyal friend but not a snob. As long as you respect me as a living being, we will be happy together! Since small humans are sometimes unable to tell when I'm feeling uncomfortable, I think I'd prefer a home with adults or older teens only for now. Hello friendly friends! I'm Snoopy, or Snoop Dogg, if you please. I am a friendly, bouncy big boy (90 pounds) looking for someone to help me out. You see, my dad loved me very much but he had a weak heart. He knew he wasn't feeling well and tried very hard to find someone to take care of me but, unfortunately, he died before anyone stepped forward. The nice shelter people tried a little longer to find someone who knew my dad to take me home, but there wasn't anyone ready for a big baby like me. Meet Phillip, a volunteer favorite who is considered one of the easier dogs to handle! His polite leash-walking for a mellow stroll through the fields is much appreciated by volunteers who need a break from wrangling other rowdy dogs. He likes to meet new people if he has a trusted human by his side who he can look to for guidance. He came to us a stray, so we don't know what his life was like before he arrive here, but we are having fun learning more about him. For example, he is very smart and knows how to sit for treats already! He also likes to climb into laps and give his human friends sloppy, drooly kisses. He's gone for some paired walks with other dogs here at the shelter, and seems to enjoy paws-off play with at least some canines.
