Story
I am looking to rehome my dog Baxter which is one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. He is a 4 year old mixed breed. We have had him since he was 3 months old. We got him from a rescue where we used to live in New Jersey. He is a very sweet boy who loves attention and definitely needs play and exercise. He LOVES other dogs. He can be nervous with strangers unless they have a dog, so I think it would be best for him to be in a home with another dog. The reason that we must find him a new home is due to my 2 year old son having allergic reactions to his dander and saliva. In addition to the allergies, Baxter gets way too excited and rough with my son despite my efforts to train him. I have tried my best to work with these issues, but I don’t feel that it is fair to my dog or my son. Thinking of not having Baxter anymore breaks my heart, but I have to think about what is best for him. He is a great dog and I want him to have a great life.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › **Please read the full bio for Cooper ** Meet Cooper. Isn't he handsome? The pictures are great but honestly don't do him justice of just how handsome he is. He is ~63 pounds of smushy gray fur with white markings. He has the cutest little underbite. Cooper is looking for his forever home - one who is dedicated to just Cooper as he needs to be the only pet in the home. He is a smart boy - he knows sit, leave it, lay down, recall, & stay! He is a strong boy & needs an experienced handler that will continue to work on his manners & leash skills. In his original home, Cooper lived with 10 & 12 year-old boys from the time he was 8 weeks old until he was 11 months old & he loved them very much. He is equal parts active AND chill - he likes to lie down on his bed with a bone or yummy peanut butter & treat-filled KONG as much as he enjoys doing the zoomies in the yard. Playing fetch is his favorite pastime - tennis balls are a must in the new home. When he is done, he’s ready to lounge & is happy to hang out with you or by himself. A DNA test was done which says he is a mixture of Labrador Retriever, American Staffordshire Terrier, hound, & Chinese Shar Pei.   Cooper was adopted when he was a young puppy & was very loved. He was adopted into a home with a 2 year-old dog who was also a Pawfect Match dog. She loved him as a puppy, but started to indicate that she no longer wanted another dog in her home. They both had high energy play styles & a few play sessions escalated & were difficult to break up, with neither dog relenting. Cooper didn't take kindly to being told no by her & continued to assert himself. She then didn't take kindly to being ignored. It caused a stressful situation for both dogs. Because of this, it was decided Cooper needed to be the only pet in a furever home so was returned to the rescue. ***Cooper is the 'pawfect' match for a household with no other pets - an adopter looking for a wonderful, smart, handsome dog with so much to offer is who will be his pawfect match. Cooper needs a home with a true FENCED yard so that he can burn off energy & play fetch without the ability to get into trouble. Cooper is not going to be a candidate for a dog park or doggie daycare. Cooper received a good deal of training prior to returning but he will need an adopter who will commit to ongoing training & whatever he needs. Could YOU be that 'pawfect' match? Could you be the furever home for Cooper? Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 4:41 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hello, my name is Pudge! I am a spunky silly boy that just can’t get enough attention. I love my people and my foster sister! We love to play, run and chew on treats. I can be somewhat timid around people because I’m still not sure about them. Once I get attached to you, I'm your best friend and you are mine. I like being pet but I really love to play and to run! I’d love to be with someone who likes to play a lot and then snuggle up for a nap. Like any puppy, I do get into things I'm not supposed to. I'm learning what I can chew and what I shouldn't chew. I am pretty good with my housetraining, but due to my age still have occasional accidents. I do have one weird quirk. I only like to poop outside at night! I will go when I am running around outside but prefer the cover of the dark sky. Maybe my name should be Batman!  I'm already neutered and up to date on on vaccinations. I do need a home with another dog. Online Adoption Application › Apply for Ollie here:  https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=18330681 Please consider getting to know this goofy, lanky, clumsy, so sweet, and sensitive boy! Ollie loves his people **so much** that it is best if he is an only dog. He needs someone who will dedicate their time to spoiling him and giving him all of their love. It takes a little time for sweet Ollie to warm up to new people, but once he does, he becomes your shadow. He loves to run and play fetch. He regularly get the zoomies chasing his tail and loves to play chase. Ollie gets the whole body wiggles and loves to talk to you when he gets excited about a toy he is holding. He is a very sweet boy and just needs someone to take the time to get to know him.  Ollie is a sweet, loving dog that enjoys couch time and cuddles.  He was adopted as a puppy but needs to be re-homed as he and the resident dog no longer get along.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 4:41 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hi, my name is Graham! I am a sweet fawn blue boy! I am not one of those "all in your face" puppies, but when it's time to snuggle I'm all for it!  I am energetic, fun, and loving. I may seem tough but deep down I am a sensitive guy and love to snuggle. I enjoy playing tug of war with my favorite chew toy. I am social and get along well with my sister Muffin. I am a little timid, so I won't be the first to jump out of the car, I just need a little encouragement to gain some confidence.  My favorite toy is my Kong. I do fine with other dogs. I am housetrained and crate trained. I am already neutered too! Foster dad says I walk very well on the leash and only pull if I see other dogs or birds. Now all I need is my perfect home!  Apply here: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=19797705Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 4:41 pm
