Story
Rehoming sweet couch potato approx 5-year-old adult male family dog. No behavioral issues; multiple disabilities and worsening health have made it where I can no longer care for him or provide the home he deserves. He is up to date on all his shots, is nuetered, microchipped and gets along well with other dogs and kids. Great with cats.

Story
Rosie is a very sweet house hippo disguised as a dog. Snuggles and treats are her favorite things in the whole world. She loves all humans, tiny and big, however, she doesnt understand that she is 60 lbs and could easily knock over tinier humans. Rosie came to me from a small 501C rescue in Selah, WA in mid-July. The rescue she was in was very overcrowded, she had some injuries and suffered from eye irritation/allergies in the dust. She has been a wonderful addition to our family, however, due to our cats we cant keep her. The rescue told me she was friendly with dogs, kids, and cats. Her first meeting with our cats went pretty smoothly - she could have cared less that they were there, however, the oldest of our cats did not want her there and scratched her up and chased her out of the room. Since that interaction, Rosie has become reactive to our cats. If she were in a home where the cats were used to large dogs and didnt care she was there, she would be ok. Rosie is 2 yrs old.

Story
Animal Profile: Nutmeg is an estimated 3-year-old, 70 lb neutered male mixed breed listed as a lab mix but likely with some bully too -- who knows? He was rescued from the high kill Bakersfield Animal Shelter where he was assessed to be timid but friendly with people and respectful of other animals; Nutmeg is very affectionate once he has a chance to get to know you. He has a gentle mellow energy. Foster Update: Nutmeg is one sweet boy!  He will need a proper introduction to any potential dog friends, but he enjoys running and playing with his canine friends at doggy daycare. He lives to play ball and could do it all day. Nutmeg has been working hard on his obedience, and will thrive in a home where his skills will be kept up. This energetic dude also has an off switch, and would be happy to snuggle up at the end of the day for a snooze. Nutmeg has been in foster care with the trainers at A Dogs Best Friend in Vancouver, WA. He is a board and train grad, and has wonderful manners. Nutmeg is house and crate trained, and knows the commands sit, down, heel (on a loose leash), place and come. He participates in doggy daycare and enjoys his time with his trainers, but Nutmeg would love a family to call his own. Adoption Info: Nutmeg's adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go to the care for all dogs in the rescue. Apply online at www.doggoneseattle.org Animal History: Nutmeg was rescued from Bakersfield Animal Shelter and arrived to foster care in the Seattle area on 6/19/22. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.August 19, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
Animal Profile: Meet Ryder! He's an estimated 3-year-old, 55 lb neutered male bully mix. He came to the shelter as a stray and was a staff favorite. They described him as friendly, fun and adorable.   Foster Update: Ryder is a handsome and energetic dog who loves to play. He gets lots of compliments, in part because of his muscular physique -- he looks like he hits the gym every day! Ryder loves to be with his people and becomes quite cuddly when you hold him or rub his belly. He’s always ready to chase, tug on a rope or fetch, and with practice will now happily drop the ball so you can throw it again. Ryder doesn't typically bark at other dogs but he is strong and has a rough-and-tumble play style. In true pitty fashion, he loves to bump and go under/over other dogs. Ryder will need a tolerant and sturdy canine companion if he goes to a home with a resident dog. Ryder is crate trained and has good house manners -- he doesn't chew on off-limits items like furniture, shoes or socks. He's come a long way with his impulse control: He used to get very excited coming out of the crate or greeting guests but has shown willingness to respond to a firm "NO." It's helpful that he is quite food and praise motivated; belly rubs are the best! Ryder has shown he can be quite in tune with your mood. When you're excited he's ready to go! When you're calm, he's ready for snuggles. With all his training progress his new nickname is "Little Gentleman." This loving boy will make a beautiful addition to the right family -- pitbull breed experience preferred. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, health certificate, heartworm test, transport from California to Seattle. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from euthanasia at Tulare high-kill shelter in California and arrived to foster care in Seattle on Thurs 7/20/23. He will be available for adoption after evaluated in foster care in the greater Seattle area.August 19, 2024, 12:18 am

Love (v), a very strong affection, intense feelings of devotion and compassion...see also American Staffy I was named after the Bluebell flower which symbolizes gratitude and humility. Wow that's a mighty big name to live up to, but I'm up for the challenge as I'd be forever grateful to know a loving home and I can be very modest about having all that love heaped on me. And of course, you also have Bluebell Ice Cream which is a cool delicious sweet treat. Oh my, yep, I'm definitely named after the ice cream!! Wow, pretty as a flower and sweet as ice cream. That is a mighty big win win! At around 3 years and coming in at around 63lbs, I'm a good size gal but don't worry that just means they is more of me to put a whole lot of lovins on you. I don't know about you but I find that a pretty good win for both of us too!! I am a very affectionate gal that loves loves loves my people.. both tall and small. I'm super laidback and calm, just going with the flow, enjoying my people time that includes lots of cuddles. I also do great with other pups and love my outings especially when I get to go visit all my friends (both 2 and 4 legged) at the doggie park or at doggie daycare. What can I say, I make friends with everyone, everywhere I go!!!! I love getting attention, sunbathing, car rides, going for walks, my spa days and to top it all off, I'm house trained too. Now that's another winning combination!! My breed are known for their affectionate, loving nature and are also low in grooming maintenance. Just a quick bath, brush and nail trim and I'm ready to go!! I would make great company for someone that works from home or who is retired. With my friendly nature and calm ways I'd even be a great first time pet parent pup!! Loving, housetrained, good with the kiddos, good with other dogs, cuddly... WOW! I'm all that wrapped up in one big package. The only thing missing is YOU, but we can fix that easily , just stop what you're doing and fill out my adoption application and I'll be happy to take it from there!!

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Cash - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! "Hello, my name is Cash, and I am a 2-year-old pup and come in at around 55ish lbs! I had been thrown out of a truck and received a nasty gash on my head. A couple of stitches and a lot of love later has me right as rain now! But even that hasn't changed my trusting and affectionate nature. I am your typical playful, affectionate, and friendly pooch, and I am a total velcro dog - I'll stick by your side through thick and thin! And that means....no more ever having to go anywhere (even that bathroom) by yourself!! I am a loving cuddle bug who loves my balls, ropes and especially those toys that go squeak, my doggy friends, my humans, and car rides. I am good on a leash and I love treats, so I am very easy to train. I'm even already house trained! I am an all-around great pup just looking for my fur-ever home. Maybe, just maybe it could be with YOU?!!!
