APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. Amelia is an Anatolian Shepherd mix. She is about 65# and 2-3 yrs old. Amelia has shorter hair than her sister and resembles more like a Lab. She is house trained and crate trained. She has no interest in cats and is particularly fearful of farm animals. She has not been around farm animals while growing up. In the process of testing her with all the animals, the donkey was the scariest and the noise the pigs made was frightful. After a half an hour walking among the farm animals she became much more curious about them and calm…even with the donkey. She was a little leery of my sister and me but it only took her a few minutes to say hello. After that, all of us were able to pet them and give them treats. Her temperament is calm, sweet, and adaptable. AMELIA has been raised in a wonderful country home…crated at night and let play outside in the daytime. She does love to play with other dogs. Amelia is subject to ear infections… dogs with floppy ears do tend to have more ear infections…and she has a propensity to jumping fences as high as 5 ft. She will probably need a wooden privacy fence. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Dolly and her siblings were rescued on the side of the road hungry and worn out. She is a floppy snuggly girl and so pretty! She loves water, enjoys her siblings playing and running. This sweetheart will make a great family member! Dolly Pawton Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Completely vetted and wonderful on their house training, but does require to go out several times a day. They will use a pee pad. Saved from high kill shelter, these girls are very sweet and loving. They deserve a home full of live and patience as they go through the puppy stage. They have not demonstrated any destructive behavior. They enjoy chasing balls and running around with stuffed animals. They are all good with dogs, cats and kids. I would say they are going to be medium size when grown. This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
This boy was returned due to owners downsizing. He is a sweet boy who is doing well in a foster home. He is housetrained with a dog door and gets along with cats. He doesn't mind other dogs and is very adjustable to new routines. He does know some commands and is treat motivated. He learns very quickly and would do well in any type home. He loves to play and was in a house. We also use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.

Story
We received a call about Sally needing to be re-homed, they were not allowed to have a large dog where they were renting. Sally is just a puppy and full of energy and love. We are working with her on her jumping and crating her at night. Sally is a 4-5 months old (as of 7/9/24) female Anatolian shepherd mix. She loves to run and play and adores children, she doesn’t know her size so be careful, so be vigilant ! Sally is very playful, great funny personality and getting better on leash walks, Her favorite thing to lean on you and snuggle, she rides in the car good and eat treats. The negative with a young dog is needing extra attention to keep an eye on her from chewing things she shouldn’t, scratching at bedding and flooring. No Sally deserves a loving family and a forever home that will take time to play with her and enjoy her spunky personality. She is very smart, is starting to sit on command i’m sure, she’s independent and can be very gently. She is fine just spending time with you and will bring endless love and happiness into your life! She is fully vetted, flea, tick prevention. spayed, on HW meds, current shots, and micro chipped. Again She’s good with Kids, and dogs, cats are ok, but will need to be trained! I have some video to text or email) Please send a request for an application to fill out. (I have some video to text or email) email us at Bakerbridgerescue@aol.com
