I`m Cosmo, a sweet dog who is nervous initially. I enjoy being around my people but it takes time for me to feel comfortable. I enjoy soft pets and going on runs but I get pretty nervous of loud noises or fast movements. So take it slow, give me a chance & I`ll show you how much love I have to give!!

Story
Meet Enso! He`s a fast learner who loves treats and knows how to sit and lay on command. His foster mom is working on `stay` and recall. He’s crate trained, sleeps well at night, and is working on being more confident alone. An early riser, he enjoys morning walks, is an excellent running buddy, and loves chasing balls indoors and outdoors. While they`re working on leash manners, he`s friendly and excited to meet other dogs but isn`t a fan of children. He has no food aggression and is very affectionate. If you`d like to meet him, feel free to email: ymota@chulavistaca.gov

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out !Meet Lucy!  Lucy is a gorgeous Cattle Dog/Husky mix with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit. After raising her litter of puppies, she’s now ready to find a forever home where she can soak up all the love and attention she truly deserves. She is around 2 years old and around 40 pounds fully grown. Lucy is looking for her perfect match—an active family with a securely fenced yard, a confident canine companion to show her the ropes, and plenty of patience to help her continue building confidence. Lucy is still learning to feel comfortable outside the house, and having a calm, self-assured dog buddy will help her realize the world isn’t so scary. She’s also practicing enjoying car rides and feels most secure when crated in the car. At home, Lucy shines! She’s incredibly sweet, adores her people, and will happily follow you around like your biggest fan. With her playful energy, she’d thrive in a household that enjoys staying active. She would do well with older kids who wouldn't mind her high energy.  She's content resting in her crate without a peep while you’re away for short periods. Lucy is ready for her forever home—will you be the one to give her the love and care she’s been waiting for? If interested, please fill out an application at www.amazingstraysrescue.org   Her adoption fee is $495 and covers vaccinations, microchip and spay.  https://amazingstraysrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5860  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 27, 2025, 5:47 pm

Story
Give him work and he will rock! Hi there! I'm a 2-year-old, 20-pound neutered male Australian Cattle Dog mix. I have been in a home since I was a pupper, but unfortunately I need a new home with someone who understands my breed and need for physical and mental enrichment. I mean, a cattle dog is smart and you gotta use that, right?! I really thrive on routine and structure, so breed specific games like flirt poles, herding balls, maybe sports would be so dang fun with me! I am house trained, but could use more crate training and separation anxiety training to feel more secure when my humans aren’t around. I have some anxiety, and that sometimes leads to frustration and mouthiness, so patience and slow introductions are key for me, especially with new dogs and strangers. I can be a bit reactive on leash, both to people and dogs, so I need a calm and controlled environment to help me feel safe. I pawmise that I am definitely cuter than my pics, you just have to see me! Loyalty and loving are my greatest traits. I am smart, and intelligent and do love my daily runs (3-6 miles). I still have tons of energy and endurance to burn! I need a lot of mental stimulation and physical exercise—like playing with flirt poles, herding balls, or just running in the backyard. I’m a working breed, so I love having a job to do. I’ve got a lot of energy and a ton of love to give, but I need some help learning how to settle in at home. I get along fine with cats, but I do tend to chase them if they run, and I prefer to be around children 12 and up since I can be a little too much for little ones. Young respectful adults are ideal. I need to be crated when visitors come over, as I feed off of their excited energy, which can make me feel more anxious and reactive. I also need structure when I’m around other dogs, especially when there are toys, bones, or chews involved, because I can be protective of my resources. Once I get to know you, I’m very loving and loyal. I might be a great match for someone who is active and enjoys running—I'll be right there by your side! But I need a home that understands my breed’s needs and can give me the mental and physical stimulation I require. If you're familiar with working breeds and can offer me the right environment, I bet I could be a wonderful companion! We can be a great team together! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##1728538##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**Meet Paloma: The Snuggle Queen and Couch Connoisseur** Introducing Paloma, a 6 year-old mix who has mastered the art of relaxation and cuddling. Once a skittish diva with a flair for chaos, Paloma has mellowed into the ultimate indoor enthusiast. These days, she’s all about lounging on the couch, soaking up belly rubs, and keeping her humans company. Paloma is selective with her canine friends, preferring the company of well-mannered boy dogs who understand her need for space. While she’s initially reserved, Paloma’s personality shines through once she feels comfortable and secure in her environment. Hiking and camping? Not her style. Paloma would much rather curl up on a comfy dog bed than explore the great outdoors. Mornings with Paloma are anything but dull. She greets each day with a breakfast performance that’s nothing short of spectacular. Once her meal is over, she’s back to her favorite spot, ready for a day of cozy relaxation. But here’s the catch—Paloma needs an owner with a strong personality who won’t let her run the show. She’s clever and quick to test boundaries, so her ideal human must be able to keep her in check and not give in to her charming ways too often. With a unique blend of quirkiness and calm, Paloma is the perfect companion for someone who values comfort and a touch of personality in their furry friend. Adopt Paloma, and prepare to welcome a laid-back, loving, and slightly quirky dog into your home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 7:50 pm
