Story
Meet Chuck Norris! Chuck is a smart, loyal dog who`s been waiting patiently to be your devoted companion! With a strong working mentality and a desire to stay busy, Chuck would benefit from a job to do, whether on a large property to roam and explore, or with someone who shares his love of activity, adventure, and enrichment. Chuck can be wary of new people, so he`s not the best at first impressions with potential adopters. But once he considers you a friend, you`ll discover a goofy, affectionate, protective dog who will loyally stand by your side. While he loves playtime with other dogs, Chuck wants to be the center of your world at home -- no animal siblings, please!Chuck has been waiting to be adopted longer than any other pet in the shelter. While we love this boy deeply, he`s long overdue for a home of his own! Are you the person he`s been waiting for?

Story
Scout is a great dog! He is 4 years old and very loyal. He is very attentive, smart and playful. He loves a daily walk, playing ball, swimming and enjoys chewing bones. He stays close during off leash hikes. He is great with other dogs and will protect the owner/family home. He is trained on a leash, e-collar and crate trained. Commands he knows: come, sit, here, lets go, off, back, crate. His ideal home is a ranch or a home with land and other dogs. We are sad to rehome him however my special needs child does not tolerate him barking to alert us of visitors. Contact me with questions. Scout deserves a good home!

Story
Sparky is a cute, calm, loving companion who is ready to be your new best friend! In his foster home, he loves to be with his humans. He loves other dogs too and plays well with dogs of various sizes. He also loves to go on hikes! He walks well on leash and is ready for adventures with you. When at home, he is calm and does not jump or bark. He loves all people he meets! He can be a little shy for the first few minutes but warms up quickly. His foster thinks he would do best in a home with another playful dog, loving owners, and a yard to play in or walks/hikes every day! We recommend kids over 12.   Please visit our website www.grandrivershumane.org to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our upcoming adoption event locations.
