Story
Meet Giblets! Small in stature but big in personality this little ball of energy will keep you on your toes. She’s a 2 year old female unaltered Australian Cattle Dog Mix - mixed with what we don’t know - but she’s 100% cattle dog. Cattle dogs also know as red heelers or blue heelers, are considered one of the top 10 most intelligent dog breeds and Giblets is no exception. This red heeler will be the most loyal and energetic companion you have ever met. Quite frankly we don’t know why she hasn’t been snatched up by now. If you like an active ball chasing, frisbee catching partner she’s your gal. This amazing working dog is not only strong and resilient but easily trainable. ACD’s are known to excel at dock diving and agility but they do have a hard off switch to relax and be that couch potato you need, but only for a little while. She has work to do. She will protect your home and loved ones making her the perfect family pet. Every dog lover needs the experience of being “owned” by an Australian Cattle Dog. If you’re ready for an adventure and a lifetime of love, consider adopting Giblets today! For more up to date information on this dog please go to our website @ https://www.playk9rescue.org/adopt-a-dog The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care and training which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and training needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Bradenton, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home.

Story
Flower formally known as Bullet. We gave her a re-brand since the name Bullet does her no favors, really she's just a sweet stinker. She is a very active heeler mix, makes a great walking or running companion. She would do best with a single person or couple without young children, sometimes she plays extremely rough, and doesn't seem to realize her strength. She still needs to learn manners and presence with other dogs. As of right now, she would do best being the only dog, and would thrive one on one. She has been dog reactive, but maybe with socialization, that could change. She's very smart and needs the opportunity to learn boundaries and manners. She is in need of someone whom is patient and willing to put the training into her, she would also make a great sport dog, he has some awesome jumping skills. She was in Okeechobee shelter, this girl is in need of a heeler savvy/ active dog home that can provide her with mental stimulation and activities to tone down all that energy, combine that with some basic training and she will be an awesome girl!! She is very loving, sweet gives kisses. She wants to play so bad, and have personal attention. She is a bit mouthy, barks at you for play time, she also likes to place her mouth on your arm, she just needs re-direction with a toy. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body, she just wants to play and kiss on you. Get your application in quick to adopt this sweet girl at ewenityfarmsbch.com.. more pix to come!!! Currently fostered in Okeechobee, Fl Someone who does know heelers or dog savvy Knowledge of dog behaviour and training she needs some finishing touches and a pack leader An active home, a family to do things with and engage her

Story
Please welcome Loxie to Ewenity Farm. She is a very very scared 2 yr old heeler mix. Curious about attention and people, yet very scared about the world, she will take some time to open up and start gaining confidence. Currently fostered in Bradenton with a temporary foster. She is in need of a foster that has some dog savvy, fenced yard, and another kind patient dog, not in your face variety. She will blossom in a quiet environment. No we are not housebroken, leash broken, we are just broken and will need time to be fixed. If anyone can help please let us know! Thanks!! PUPDATE Loxie nka Pan is doing better slowly and exploring. She was scared at the vets but allowed handling and all care could be given including nail trim. Pan has received all her vax and is heartworm positive. We will be treating her slow kill method, which is nothing more than heartgard every month for a year, then retesting. Please consider fostering this sweet girl for a few months to help her along the way to a forever home!! PUPDATE Red Pan is doing better She is very submissive, but will come slowly to you if you call her. She is so afraid of being hit. Loves other dogs, plays well with them!! She cannot be with small dogs like chis, she tends to go after them, and has not learned how to play with them yet. Working on that slowly. We are learning to walk on lead and do some very basic commands. She does know sit, recall will be her hardest to learn as she is so hesitant to come to you. While she is submissive she is also curious and is very polite amongst other dogs. You can see sheer joy on her face when she is running. She does seem to like the water, so she may be a water baby! She does not yet know how to play with toys, but will easily learn. Fostered in Bradenton and ready to go to a new home with folk that can be patient loving and consistent, and let this pup blossom at her own speed. Another kind dog is a must! She is still learning not to jump up on people so toddlers should be a no.. We are recommending no kids under 13 at this time. Sudden moves and sounds still very much spook her. Anyone interested in her, please contact us and we can chat about her. She would be a great project dog for a trainer, to further their skills.

Story
Bluey is a very sweet, and timid girl. She is currently learning how to navigate living inside. Having spent the last year plus of her life outside she is unsure about things like doorways and hardwood floors with little traction. She loves the couch, the bed, and anywhere the humans are. She gets along fine with her foster sister, however her approach is to mostly ignore her very playful and persistent foster sister. She will tell her sister to get out of her face, but will mostly not engage with her. Bluey would probably love a home with an older, less playful mate or to be the sole recipient of the human affection. She’s been healing from a small surgery to repair a laceration she had upon intake, and not having the cone now is really helping her become less afraid of the scary doorways and floors. She will be spayed soon once she finishes her current heat cycle. She’s an absolute doll who just needs time to adjust to inside living, and learning how to be a pet and not a yard dog. She’s already mastered go to bed, especially if food or treats are involved. She’s silent in the crate and just takes a nap. Has had no accidents in the house since coming inside. Was around two children in her former home and is good with kids. Cat status is unknown.
