She’s incredibly intelligent and learns quickly; she’d benefit from constant enrichment to build her confidence. She is potty trained, good with other dogs, and OK with cats. She came into rescue after the passing of her owner. She would do best as an only pet as she gets very anxious and possessive over toys. She has been spayed, current on all vaccines including Rabies and Bordetella, heartworm and fecal negative and microchipped. She has been on a monthly heartworm and flea preventative. All dogs shed and most of our dogs are mix breeds and are not recommended for any person suffering with allergies. ADOPTION DONATION: $200.00 ADOPTION PROCESS: ***Please be advised you must live in or near the Tampa area and be able to provide an established veterinary reference to adopt from our organization and no children under 6 years please. Preference is given to homeowners and with some breeds we will not consider renters of any type. 1. Submit an online application at www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org. It can take 3 - 7 days to process an application. Please notify your vet's office that we may be contacting them and to release information to us. 2. Background checks, vet references and verification of home ownership will be conducted. If we are considering a renter, landlords will be contacted to ensure breed mixture and size of dog is permitted and if a pet deposit is required. 3. You will ONLY be contacted if your application is approved to arrange a homevisit. Flower formally known as Bullet. We gave her a re-brand since the name Bullet does her no favors, really she's just a sweet stinker. She is a very active heeler mix, makes a great walking or running companion. She would do best with a single person or couple without young children, sometimes she plays extremely rough, and doesn't seem to realize her strength. She still needs to learn manners and presence with other dogs. As of right now, she would do best being the only dog, and would thrive one on one. She has been dog reactive, but maybe with socialization, that could change. She's very smart and needs the opportunity to learn boundaries and manners. She is in need of someone whom is patient and willing to put the training into her, she would also make a great sport dog, he has some awesome jumping skills. She was in Okeechobee shelter, this girl is in need of a heeler savvy/ active dog home that can provide her with mental stimulation and activities to tone down all that energy, combine that with some basic training and she will be an awesome girl!! She is very loving, sweet gives kisses. She wants to play so bad, and have personal attention. PINTO made it to Florida all the way from Texas!!! We were asked to help him find a furever home. That should be NO issue as he is super cute!! Here is his info: Pinto is around 8 months old. Small Heeler mix and maybe some dachshund, he is a sniffer!, He is house broke, kennel trained, and likes other animals big or small. He just wants all the love, his family could no longer have him so he has been staying in a home in Texas who can no longer keep him. Other heeler rescues in Texas are full. He was said to be scared of Men, however he loves the guy who transported him and now is fostering him, He just needs someone with a little bit of patience, lots of love, some dog savvyness and give him a chance! He loves to have his chest scratched and rubbed and will fall asleep in your arms doing so. Sometimes this little dude will get the zoomies, and gives face licks with love nibbles, which are hard to not love. He will bark at you upon his first meet up, he needs to warm up to you. He just wants to play and love! He does good with horse and goats too! He is around 25 pounds and will not get any bigger. shy of men barks at them.
