Story
Adventurers! Hikers! Nature lovers! If you want a dog to accompany you on all your outings, we have the perfect girl for you: Diamond. She is awesome at all kinds of camping+etc. fun! She is hoping that another adventure-fan will adopt her. Diamond's ideal owner would be active and love to hike and explore. She does great on challenging terrain and is the perfect trail pup. She is incredibly coordinated and has managed some impressive climbs. She would love to be your camping buddy and keep you company on all your adventures. She went on a 4-day backpacking trip and did amazingly well; carried her own pack, cuddled up in the tent at night, and kept those she was with feeling safe the whole time. Diamond ignores dogs beautifully when out and about. She redirects simply just to please. She also has done well with some playful, non-reactive & friendly male pups but we think she'd be happiest having all of someone's attention to herself, but if your resident dog is a good boy and is easy-going with other dogs, he may be a great furbrother to Diamond. We would suggest older children, probably about 12ish and up. If you want one of the world's most loyal dogs to be your literal adventure and hiking buddy, Diamond is waiting for you. She is about four years old, weighs about 50ish pounds, and is spayed. If you are wanting to adopt her, come to MHS and we'll bring her out for you!

Story
Hootie is one of our sanctuary dogs. He is at a foster home. He has been with us 2 1/2 years and he is now 5 years old. His owner moved to chicago and Hootie, an already fearful dog could not handle the traffic, horns and city life. The owner could not walk him on the chicago streets.  When Hootie came to us our intention was to put him up for adoption right away. This did not happen because he was so scared here at first. Hootie is still a scared dog , but not with us. We really need to find him a home. He craves love and attention, which he gets here, although he must share it with the other dogs. He really needs his own human. He sleeps in the bed at night. He is a house dog, our Sanctuary Dogs are all in foster homes.  He is housbroken. He is a sweet, loving and a wonderful boy. When he gets to know you he will always being lying at your side, or try to get on your lap. He is good with other dogs, however he seldom plays. He just wants his humans. He lays under his fosters desk when she is working. He is always there by her side.  He will be EXTREMELY scared when he goes to a new home. It took him a couple of weeks to come around. He is available under our Foster to Adopt Program. He needs someone home during the day. He will never be a social butterfly, he will always be a homebody. If you travel or go on vacations he can't be boarded or go along with you. He would need a dog sitter to come to your home. Hootie cannot be in a home with lots of activity. Any noise or quick moves scares him, where he will jump and look around. He will hide from strangers . He needs a quiet home with one or two people that will be his forever family. He is a homebody. . He is calm, quiet and very well behaved.  He would do best in a home with no children living in the house, or a home with teens. If anyone comes to visit he will just go and hide until he knows them. He does not bite or growl, he is very submissive, just scared of new things and new people.  He needs a secure fenced in yard. Someone who is home such as a healthy active retired couple because can live another 10-12 years. His new family must live no farther than 50 miles away from Grovertown, Indiana. We would want you to come and meet him here, and if it goes good we will need to bring him to your house. It may take a couple of visits if we feel he needs to get to know you better. We are in no rush for him to leave. We need to find the right home for him. Hooties adoption fee is $100. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. For more information on our Foster to Adopt Program go to this link https://indianasaveadog.com/foster-to-adopt ##671776##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Levi!Levi is an 1 1/2 year old neutered male Cattle Dog! Currently 28 lbs most likely will be closer to 40 lbs when fully grown. Levi is a very nervous boy. It takes a while for him to build up trust with a person. For the first 3 weeks I was unable to touch him but now he’s able to take cookies from my hand, allow me to pet him, and hang out on the couch with him! Now that’s he’s coming out of his shell he’s finally becoming a naughty baby puppy! I’ve been loving watching him steal shoes, throw toys in the air, and try to sneak snacks. Levi will do much better in a home with another dog. He likes to build relationships with other dogs which makes it easier for him to open up to people! He gets along with every dog he’s ever met! He’s your typical pushy baby Cattle Dog. He likes to push everyone’s buttons but is receptive to corrections from dogs and verbal redirecting from people! Once out of his shell he’s the sweetest boy. He likes to chase toys, play in the water, and wrestle with his friends! Levi had an injury to his rear left leg which has since healed but his hair is still growing back! Levi is searching for an active family who likes to go on walks, hike, and play in the yard! He does have a fence requirement as he has proven himself to be a fence jumper when scared. He will need to be supervised in the yard. He is looking for a patient family who will help him blossom. Levi was brought in with his litter from a backyard breeder in Western OH and is now being fostered in Plymouth, IN. Please contact cripecasey@gmail.com  if you have any questions about Levi.  You can complete an application to adopt Levi or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org  .    ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application. Toast is a year and 1 1/2 year old male, Red Australian Cattle dog, who is amazing with respectful children 5 and up and great with other animals including cats. He wants nothing more than to cuddle on the couch in your lap. He is house broken and crate trained, he does use our doggy door. He is working on putting on some weight after his last shelter stay.  Toast is being fostered in Walkerton, IN Please contact hannahvazquez2002@gmail.com  if you have any questions about Toast.  You can complete an application to adopt Toast or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org .     ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.
