Story
This boy has such soft, fuzzy fur, you have to feel it in person! Romeo is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 46 pounds. Romeo is a loving young pup who likes to sneak up in your lap! He is highly intelligent and is very good at catching on to things quickly. He already knows sit and the "drop it" command when playing with the soft toys that he loves, but would benefit from more training with basic obedience. He needs a leader who can provide structure and who can give him the physical and mental stimulation he needs. Romeo is very attentive to you and stays engaged with you, looking for direction. With his energetic and attentive nature, he would be perfect for someone who is looking for a companion for long walks and hikes in nature. A home with an adopter who has experience with the herding breed would be perfect. He has so much love and affection to give someone, if you think you could be Romeo's fur-ever home, please come and meet him today. He will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old. Romeo came to the rescue with his best friend Coco, it would be wonderful if they could be adopted together as they are a bonded pair, but we do understand if they have to be separated. If you are interested in Romeo and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Hey everyone!  I’m Milo—a super cute, fun-loving pup searching for my perfect family! I’m currently living with dogs, cats, and kids, so I’m pretty much a social butterfly (or… social puppy?). I love making new friends, giving cuddles, and stealing hearts. So, if you’re looking for a new best buddy, I just might be your guy! Hurry up and fill out an application—I can’t wait to meet you! We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. March 25, 2025, 3:16 pm

Story
This is a courtesy post for Silver Lake Animal Rescue League to help find Sugar Bear a forever home. So if you are interested in Sugar Bear, please email slarl@yahoo.com with any questions.Sugar Bear is a sweet 6-7 year old mixed breed dog (we don`t know any of her breeds!). Since she has tall ears, we are thinking possibly Cattle Dog mix? She weighs around 35 lbs so she is the perfect medium size dog - not too big and not too small!Sugar Bear`s family was evicted from their home and they put poor Sugar Bear out on the streets. Luckily, a neighbor witnessed this and contacted the local animals shelter. Sugar Bear is now searching for her forever home.Sugar can be a little shy when she meets a new person but once they pet her, she warms up very quickly! Since she can be a little shy, we would recommend a quieter home and one without small children.Sugar enjoys car rides, cuddling and always being with her person, going for walks and naps! Her favorite hobby is chasing squirrels so for that reason, she may not be good with cats or very small animals. She is in a foster home with another dog and does fine with her. She is a very smart girl and listens very well when you call her name. She would make a great agility dog!If interested in Sugar Bear, please email slarl@yahoo.com with any questions.https://www.petfinder.com/dog/sugar-bear-73335576/mi/clawson/silver-lake-animal-rescue-league-mi155/
