She is a lap dog, adventure seeker, and your new athletic partner! Roxanne truly is the whole package. Roxanne has a lot of energy and will need to go to an active home who has the time to give her the exercise and stimulation she needs. She is a sweet girl and loves people. She enjoys running, playing, and learning - she is very smart! Because she is a cattle dog, it will be important for her new family to understand herding breeds and their needs which includes daily mental stimulation. Preferences for Roxanne's new family: Experience with herding breeds Commitment to regular exercise and stimulation  Understanding of breed-specific behaviors and needs An understanding of how to care for a dog with some separation anxiety No young children Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. March 10, 2025, 4:26 pm

Story
Meet Harrison, the cutest bundle of energy you'll ever meet! 🐶 This 9-month-old, 40 lb. cattle dog mix is ready to turn his rough start into a happy, playful life with YOU! 💕 Harrison spent most of his young life in a small crate with a shock collar, but now he’s making up for lost time with a love for ALL toys, bones, puzzles, and especially fetch! 🎾 He’s always up for a walk and will even ask to go on one! 🚶‍♂️ Harrison adores playing with other dogs 🐕, but he’d thrive best with a sibling that can match his lively spirit. He’s already house-trained, knows basic commands, and even some tricks! 🏅 Being super food-motivated and smart, he learns incredibly fast. 🍖 He's a champ in his crate and, while he's still got a bit of puppy mouthing, he's easily redirected to a toy or bone. 🦴 With his working dog energy, Harrison is the perfect playful companion to keep you entertained and on your toes! 🐾 Are you ready to give this clever, fun-loving pup the forever home he deserves? 🏡

Story
I bought Buddy during Covid. So he missed important age range training when a pup. Very sweet, needs more training, Likes to bark, and jump on people for attention, difficult to train very anxious. Relaxes with his security blanket indoors. Likes food toys like KONG. Buddy will be a fabulous dog with the proper training. Owner in ill health. Had to surrender. Buddy is crate trained to command 'GO TO YOUR ROOM'.

Story
Daisy is a mix breed who is about 5 years old. We had her DNA tested and she was an Australian cattle dog/lab/ chihuahua mix. About 35 lbs and a medium sized dog. She is so so cuddly and well behaved pup. She gets along with other dogs, but would not be happy in a house without small children. She’s in great health and the sweetest pup, so we are hoping to find a home that she can thrive in and will love her the way we do.

This is a courtesy post for Silver Lake Animal Rescue League to help find Sugar Bear a forever home. So if you are interested in Sugar Bear, please email slarl@yahoo.com with any questions.Sugar Bear is a sweet 6-7 year old mixed breed dog (we don`t know any of her breeds!). Since she has tall ears, we are thinking possibly Cattle Dog mix? She weighs around 35 lbs so she is the perfect medium size dog - not too big and not too small!Sugar Bear`s family was evicted from their home and they put poor Sugar Bear out on the streets. Luckily, a neighbor witnessed this and contacted the local animals shelter. Sugar Bear is now searching for her forever home.Sugar can be a little shy when she meets a new person but once they pet her, she warms up very quickly! Since she can be a little shy, we would recommend a quieter home and one without small children.Sugar enjoys car rides, cuddling and always being with her person, going for walks and naps! Her favorite hobby is chasing squirrels so for that reason, she may not be good with cats or very small animals. She is in a foster home with another dog and does fine with her. She is a very smart girl and listens very well when you call her name. She would make a great agility dog!If interested in Sugar Bear, please email slarl@yahoo.com with any questions.https://www.petfinder.com/dog/sugar-bear-73335576/mi/clawson/silver-lake-animal-rescue-league-mi155/

Story
In the spring of 2023, we got a call about 4 dogs who were in bad shape and living in the woods a couple of hours from me. We set traps and were able to rescue 2 of the 4. We tried and tried to get the other 2, but we were unable to do so. Some of the local people continued to try to get them, as well, but couldn’t. I am still very sad about having to leave them behind. Chester and Chloe were near death when we rescued them. They were starving, their skin was horrible, and of course, they had every known parasite. They are healthy now. Chloe is still very shy, and I feel that she needs a special home with a lot of love, patience and attention! We do not see any aggression in her. She has been at Blue Ribbon Kennels now for 14 months and needs a forever and loving home so badly. She has never had the opportunity to live inside a house and to be part of a family. Chloe is in Mississippi. When adopted, she will come fully vetted and will be transported by Rescue Riders, a very reliable transporter. All of this is included in her adoption fee.
