My name is Jess and I currently live with my foster family that has two resident dogs and a teenager. I am currently 40lbs, spayed and am told that I am the perfect size dog for anyone. I am a little timid when meeting people for the first time, but warm up quickly. I am potty trained, and use my crate when my people are not home. I am great at snuggling and love my people. I am an energetic girl, which enjoys balls, chew toys, water buffalo horns, and other toys. My foster mom said I would do well with an active person or family. I go on multiple walks a day and am well behaved on leash as well as playing in my yard. I know how to sit when asked with a treat and am very soft in the mouth when I take treats. I travel well in the car as long as it is in the back seat. I am very quiet and settle down quickly. I tend not to bark a lot, but will alert you when someone is at the door. Hi, my name is Jojo, will you be my best friend? I certainly want to be yours and will make sure you feel loved and paid attention to all the time. I am the perfect size ( a little under 30 pounds) for cuddles but I also love running around outside and going on walks. I walk well on a leash but prefer to walk when there aren’t many other dogs around. I have to be the only pet in the house as I want all your attention and I am most comfortable with adults. I would be happiest in a quieter household with a regular routine. Besides being your bestie I love bones and food puzzles. I do my best to listen to commands like sit and lay down and am ready to learn more. I truly aim to please always. I am fully potty trained and crate trained. I am used to sleeping in my crate and eating in there too. Hi! My name is Ozzy and I am from Texas. From his foster: He loves taking naps, going for car rides, walks, or just hanging out with his humans. He is doing very well with potty training and crate training. From the vet team: After coming into rescue, it was discovered that I had a serious heart murmur. An echocardiogram with the University of Minnesota Cardiology determined that the cause of my murmur was 2 heart defects. PDA (Patent ductus arteriosus - a defect that causes the ductus arteriosus to not close properly at birth) and pulmonic stenosis (a narrowing of the pulmonic valve). I had heart surgery where a device was placed in my artery to close the hole caused by the PDA defect. I have a recheck echocardiogram in February to determine if a balloon valvuloplasty surgery is necessary. While I am still a puppy my family will want to keep a close eye on me and give me lots of breaks if my heart ever becomes too rapid or labored. Should I ever experience irregular respiration, extreme lethargy or fluid buildup in my abdomen this may require emergency care. TBB will agree to cover my recheck along with the balloon valvuloplasty surgery if recommended at that 3 month recheck scheduled in Feb 2025. Because of these heart conditions they also advised that any elective surgeries such as a neuter be delayed until after that recheck. TBB will agree to cover my neuter procedure if completed at TBB or an approved veterinary partner.
