Hi there! I'm Bindie, a gorgeous 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix. I'm special needs as I am near completely deaf, so I will need to be leash walked or a fenced yard. I'm the perfect size, weighing at just 35 lbs and I won't get any bigger! I am a bit particular about my canine and feline friends, so the shelter reccomends a home without other animals. No worries, as I am the main star of the show, right? I do good with all people though, so more love for me! I'm also deaf and can't hear, but I still love to be around people and want all the attention. I was found with a gnarly injuriy but thanks to PCHS and the vet clinic, I got all cleaned up and I'm on the road to recovery. He likes to be outside and will bolt if the door/gate is left open. He’s good with people (including little kids) but not all other dogs and probably needs to be the only dog in the household (he gets along fabulously with one of our dogs and fights with the other). He’s a very sweet boy and we want him to have the best life possible. If he becomes too much please return him to us.

We did Brownie's DNA! He's about half cattle dog and the next biggest result was Boxer but he is mixed with many other breeds. Brownie is a sweet, energetic and spunky guy who had a rough start in life. He loves affection and is a good boy. He was found as a stray in Bonne Terre and got picked up by animal control, which is just a shed. We believe Brownie would do best in a more quiet home with older or no kids and an active owner that would spoil him and give him the life he deserves. Brownie will need a fence as he has a high prey drive and loves to chase the yard critters. If there are other dogs in the home they should be about his size or bigger. He loves to play with the other dogs. He has been introduced to the dog savvy catin the house and they get along okay.We only adopt to people in the St. Louis METRO area.
