Story
Contact foster at: bronwyn.bartis12@gmail.comJune, an 8-month-old, 42-pound cattle dog was found as a stray, but you’d never know it from the way she absolutely adores people. She’s the kind of dog who will melt your heart with how happy she is just to be around you, covering you in kisses and soaking up every bit of affection she can get! She’s fully potty trained and sleeps curled up next to you at night. In the morning, she’ll slowly crawl toward you until her nose is pressed against your face, reminding you in the gentlest way possible that it’s time for breakfast. She plays well with other dogs, holding her own in a rough-and-tumble match with her foster brother, but then turns around and becomes the most gentle, affectionate girl you’ll ever meet. Her priorities in life are simple: food and rest ??She loves being outside, but she’s not exactly one for long walks. She’s just as happy hanging out, chewing on a good treat, or exploring new places at her own pace. She’d make an incredible companion for someone in an apartment or anyone who wants a dog to bring along on outings to South End or NoDa. She’s social, adaptable, and just as happy adventuring as she is lying at your feet! She’d thrive in a home where she can be around her people as much as possible. She’s dog-friendly, easygoing, and, most importantly, full of love. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts scrappy and sweet, tough and affectionate, independent but always happy to snuggle up next to you, she’s the one!!

Story
Samson is an extremely loving dog but has recently developed some aggression issues with our other healer. We have tried a number of things but it seems that after 5 years together, something has happened with their relationship. Samson has no bite history and would make an excellent dog in an only pet home - with the right person that has the time to give him the attention that he deserves. He is a leaner, a lover, and just wants attention! In addition, we will be relocating our farm in the next several months and will be in temporary housing with will not be conducive for success with our dogs. Please, serious inquiries only and Samson looks forward to meeting you!

Story
I got Belle from a job that I worked at about three years ago. I worked at a doggy daycare so I was taking care of animals and cleaning up after them and her owner was sick and couldn't take care of her anymore so she needed a home and I was wanting another dog and I just wanted to give her home. in a new home, I want someone who loves to go out and do things who has the time to work with her like getting her out and exercising cause she is a very hyperactive dog and needs a lot of exercise. she loves to play fetch and run around. She is very sweet, kind, friendly loving, and will give you a bunch of kisses.

Story
Sasha is a beautiful pup that was adopted from us a few months ago. Since the adoption the owner has realized that Sasha has more energy than she can manage living in a home without a fence. Sasha is super intelligent and full of energy. She needs an active home with a fenced in yard. Sasha is 6 months old and has an appointment to be spayed in the next few weeks. She is a loving pup who does well with other dogs. Adoption fee is $250 and includes: spay/neuter, parvo/distemper series of shots, rabies (if dog is old enough), bordetella, heartworm preventative while here, worming, and microchip. Story
This sweet girl came to us after a house fire-- her owner passed away due to smoke inhalation, because he kept going back inside to get his dogs. Unfortunately, no family stepped up to help. June has been very loved, and she needs someone who will love her as much as her former owner did. June has a fresh scar on her neck, likely from a melted collar or something falling on her in the fire. Despite the horrific events she's been through, June is a happy, sweet girl. Her foster reports that she's quiet and mellow, but has plenty of energy for playing fetch. She hasn't been around kids with us but will likely be fine. She lived with multiple other dogs in her first home so we assume she's dog friendly, although she hasn't had much socialization yet, as she just got spayed. She's easy for a heeler and just the cutest thing ever. June is about 2-3 years old, spayed, vaccinated, less than knee high, and a little chubby-- we expect her to be around 30lbs after she slims down. She's had a couple of accidents, but with the sudden and drastic change in her life, it's understandable. Her foster home is confident that she's potty trained, just trying to adjust to all the changes. If you can give June the wonderful, loving home she so deserves, please visit our website and fill out an application: www.northmeckanimalrescue.org
