Story
Some dogs are easy. They love everybody and everything and have no quirks or issues. But doesn’t that make life kind of boring? Brayleigh is anything but boring. This girl was found as a stray roaming the streets of Texas. She had raging skin and ear infections and barely any fur. She’s also blind and deaf. But Bray is a strong and sassy survivor. With help from our vet care team, she had regular medicated baths and her beautiful coat started to grow in. Then she was a trooper and had dual luxating patella surgery. Through it all, Bray has remained true to herself. She’s very complex: She doesn’t like strangers and abhors men, but likes female humans and male dogs. Once she makes friends, she’s very sweet, affectionate, and playful … as long as you don’t try to brush out her mats or clip her nails. She’s gone through a lot in her 5-6 years and she knows what she doesn’t like! Bray loves to play, but is also content to lie down near her person. She isn’t terribly Velcro, but she does like to know where her human is. She likes to play with toys or just carry them around. We’re guessing she maybe didn’t have any her whole life, so now she will sometimes fall asleep with a toy in her mouth. It’s pretty adorable. Bray’s DNA test shows she’s a mix of Australian shepherd, Australian koolie, Australian cattle dog, and shar-pei. She’s a great size at just about 25 pounds. She’s good on a leash, great in a crate, and will potty outside if it’s dry or inside on a pad. She knows the touch command for “come” and is pretty convinced that’s all she needs to know right now. Brayleigh will need a very specific home with just a patient woman or women, preferably someone who has had experience working with “interesting” dogs. She’d probably prefer to be an only dog, but could live with a laid-back male canine sibling. Bray also needs a fenced-in yard for safety and would prefer someone home most of the time, although she is good on her own. She can be left uncrated and will use her potty pad and isn’t the least bit destructive. Brayleigh has allergies so she needs regular shampooing and brushing, daily medication, and weekly injections. Yes, she has many issues and can be difficult and stubborn. But don’t we all? It’s going to take a very special person to adopt this very special girl. But Brayleigh is so lovable, it’s worth the time it takes to get to know her. Plus she gives the biggest and best sloppiest kisses. ##915140##

Story
The tango is a dance that focuses on flair, love, and playful movement. We think our little Tango puppy was well-named. This Aussie mix is sweet, loving, and snuggly. But he’s also very playful and full of personality and can even be independent at times. He is a very busy, very nosy boy who always likes to know what’s going on. And he looks great while he’s doing it! Tango has so many favorite activities. He loves to explore, play tug of war, and sit on his person’s lap. Tango mostly loves other dogs and wants to run and wrestle with them but he needs some time to warm up to them. Tango is hearing and vision impaired, but it doesn't stop him from dancing through life. He is a smart boy and has already learned “sit” and is working on “come” and “stay.” He’s also doing great with house training and crate training. His ideal home will have a fenced-in yard and another dog buddy. And perhaps a dance floor. ##1475452##

Story
Want to play ball, Frisbee, or tug? Charlee’s more than up for the job. Lovely Charlee is playful and absolutely adores her people. She lives to catch a ball and tackle a good game of tug and is always busy having fun. This Australian shepherd mix is hearing impaired and knows hand signals for sit, come, and release and is so smart, she’ll quickly learn more. She’s house trained and crate training and does pretty well on a leash. Charlee is about 3 years old, which is a fantastic age. She’s through all the puppy shenanigans and is a great companion. Charlee’s main requirement is that you don’t share your affection with other dogs. She wants to be the canine center of her person’s universe, so no other dogs please. Charlee would prefer a home with a fenced-in yard and would be giddy if her family was around for much of the day. This gorgeous, sweet girl has so much affection to give; she’s just waiting for the perfect forever match. ##1370753##

Story
Devante has the most fantastic mane of hair. He looks a little like a lion and he certainly has the big cat’s bravery. But this sweet mini Aussie has a gentle heart. Devante was hit by a car dodging traffic and is recuperating well after surgery to mend a broken leg. Just about a year or two old, this wonderful pup is vision and hearing impaired. He can see and hear a bit and navigates the world well. He loves to go out and run around the backyard, but inside he’s quite happy to nap around his people. He has a great time playing with his canine foster sister and enjoys checking out the neighborhood on short walks. He’ll play with toys sometimes, but really is happiest just being near his foster family.  Devante is good in the car, is working on house training and leash walking, and does well in the crate when he’s alone. At night, he prefers sleeping in his dog bed around his people. He would love a home where people are around most of the time. He’d prefer a fenced-in yard for safe exploring. He’d love having another dog to play with, but he’d be fine being the only pup as long as he got loads of attention. This sweet and handsome lion is being fostered in the St. Louis area. ##1840777##

Story
Titan is the cutest and sweetest little Australian shepherd puppy. He has an amazing personality and is so much fun to watch. Titan loves to be outside and is happy exploring on his own. He enjoys playing with toys, but he really likes to be around people. He’s willing to check out new things and go on fun adventures. Titan is hearing impaired and is blind in one eye. He can see hand signals, which is how he’ll happily communicate with his family. Titan is working on potty training and crate training. He’s great with dogs of all sizes and would enjoy having a dog friend. (But he’d also be totally happy being the only pup and getting all the attention for himself!) Titan needs a home with a physical, fenced yard where someone is around most of the day. Puppies just can’t be left alone for long periods of time. He’d love someone who has experience working with deaf dogs or who is very much willing to learn. He’s a sweet boy with the best disposition. Titan is being fostered in the St. Louis area. He is one of a litter of eight puppies and we will do our best to make the best possible match for each of the puppies. ##2017430##

Story
Beautiful Mozart is a typical Australian shepherd puppy. He loves to romp and play and a mix of independence and Velcro. Sometimes, he wants to go out exploring on his own and other times he wants to climb in your lap and be cuddled. He can run fast and play hard, but can also be very snuggly with his people when it’s time to chill. Mozart is hearing impaired. He has sensitivity to bring light but can communicate via hand signals and by touch commands. He quickly learned “sit.” Mozart loves to explore, run, and play with his brother. He enjoys carrying around toys, particularly soft stuffies, tugs, and balls. Mozart is just working on leash training and crate training and is doing great for his age with potty training. He’s looking for a home with a physical, fenced yard where someone is around much of the day. He’d love to have a friendly canine pal to help him navigate new things. Extra points if his new family has herding dog experience. This sweet and handsome pup has a striking solid red tail with a white dip at the end. He’s being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##2076525##

Story
Hi, my name is Ruth and I'm here to tell you all about myself! I'm one of 7 puppies, but I think I have the coolest markings. So far only my foot is Merle but I'm hoping to save up for a full sleeve one of these days. My foster siblings are real nice and teaching me how to go potty outside and play with dogs bigger than me. I also love food, foster mummy tells me this with make me easier to train when I'm older. I would prefer to have a fur brother or sister if possible but would make an excellent only child. I'm also good with cats! I am very calm apparently for a puppy my age and love to cuddle, so if you think you're ready for a lifetime of love and cuddles click the link!

Latte: A milder, sweeter and creamy blend of your daily dose of caffeine! Hey there, I'm Latte - a youngish year old 67lb pup who loves to play and make new friends! People often say I'm quite the character, and I have plenty of unique traits that make me who I am. For instance, I'm a total treat connoisseur and will do anything for a snack. I'm also a friendly, playful, and smart pup, but I don't know many dog friends yet, so I'll need some help with socialization. If you're looking for an energetic and fun companion, then look no further! My ideal home would be one where I can get lots of exercise and attention, especially if we have some treats along the way. Just one thing - I tend to gravitate towards people who are just as unique and playful as I am. If you're active and love being a snack connoisseur as much as I do, I'm sure we'll become the best of pals in no time! What better way to spend the day then an adventure followed by bingeing on snacks as we cuddle on the couch!! If you're searching for a fur-iend to share in your adventurous life style, then I'm your boy!!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Rodeo, a five-year-old mini Australian Shepherd who weighs 30 pounds. Her name might be Rodeo, but this gal is the farthest thing from the chaos and excitement of a good, old-fashioned rodeo. We should have named her Spa Day. As a former full-time breeder, Rodeo's first 5 years were difficult. After raising multiple litters she was put up for auction to start the cycle over again when she was saved and surrendered to rescue. Rodeo is not your typical Aussie; she is calm and peaceful. This laid-back, quiet little girl is looking for a relaxed and patient adopter to help her continue to grow into her personality. She loves her foster mom and gets along well with the other dogs in the home. Another small dog would give her courage but not required. She is potty-trained and crate-trained, but she is so well-behaved that her foster mom trusts her loose in the house when she is at work. Rodeo needs a fenced area outside an exterior door to go in and out easily and safely for potty breaks. While she does prefer indoors, she also enjoys hanging out on the back porch with her foster mom and siblings and looking out at the woods and peaceful lake. At just 30 pounds, she will be a great companion for someone who enjoys life's quiet moments. Rodeo has not been around small children, and we suspect they could scare her with their enthusiasm for everything. Any children in her new home would need to be older and respectful of animals. Rodeo is spayed, microchipped, heartworm-negative, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $325. Apply today at istodaymydayrescue.org to hear more about this silky-haired beauty.

Story
Chet is a handsome tricolor purebred australian shepherd.  His birthday is 10/31/23.  He has lived most of his short life in a backyard pen with a couple of other pups.    His current foster has not had him long but he is very sweet, shy at first and a little hesitant in new environments  He is catching on quickly to new situations and has learned what stairs are, how to go into a crate for his treats and how to sit.  He appears to be housebroken for the most part, however his foster home has a doggie door situation.  He is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers to look and be by his foster mom.  He will need some training as everything is new to him but he is very treat-motivated so should be able to catch on quickly.   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $275 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Thor is an incredibly handsome young border collie. He is just over a year old and has loads of energy. He loves to chase and run after other dogs when they’re playing but is unsure how to play with toys and balls and other fun things. Thor is good on a leash and is great in the house. He’s doing very well with potty training and has already learned several commands. He’s good with other dogs and good with kids. He’d love an active home where someone has experience with agility or with herding dogs. He needs a physical, fenced yard for safe running and playing. Thor was rescued by police from a home where he was abandoned and left alone in a crate. He is surprisingly very sweet, loving, and anxious to please and just wants to be loved. Thor is being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##2088919##
