That’s me, Calypso Jane! My favorite things are to chase after my foster brother, be anywhere near my foster mom, and chew on my favorite toys. My breed is notorious for intelligence and high energy, so my fur-ever family should be active to and willing to keep me engaged through exercise and training. I’ve come a long way in my puppy training! I’m fully housetrained, crate trained for night and when my foster mom is away from home, and I’m very good at sitting, waiting for my food and to be let out of my crate, and even getting good at giving high-fives! I’m still working on jumping and my puppy nipping. I love my foster brother and any other dogs I meet, but I can sometimes be too much for them, so any dog in my fur-ever home should be able to tolerate my puppy antics. I do best with younger, larger dogs as I've not been around too many small or older friends. I haven’t been around cats a ton in my little life, but I like to think of them as a big toy, so it would be best if they have a place to get away from me when I get a little riled up. I love all people I meet and kids are no exception! But since I'm still working on my jumping, any tiny human in my home should be a little older so no one accidentally gets hurt. I've already been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and micro-chipped. Story
Nebula, a truly beautiful dog. While her past holds some hardship – she was found living on the streets with her seven puppies – her spirit shines through. Nebula is a sweet and beautiful girl, possessing a gentle nature that will blossom with the right amount of patience and understanding. Nebula's intelligence is evident in her quick grasp of commands. She's already house-trained and crate-trained, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt. She enjoys walks immensely, exhibiting a calm and easy-going temperament. What Nebula truly desires is a loving home where she can finally feel safe and secure. While her street life has made her initially cautious around new people, once she builds trust, her playful puppy-like energy resurfaces. It's a beautiful transformation to witness. We believe Nebula would thrive in a quiet and patient home, ideally with someone experienced in working with dogs who have experienced trauma. With the right care, she'll become the most loyal and loving companion imaginable. If you're interested in learning more about Nebula and potentially offering her a loving forever home, please don't hesitate to contact us. $200 In State Adoption Fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes Transportation to your area) $50 Temporary fuel surcharge.

Story
Meet Ren! Ren is a very handsome, 3 year old Australian Shepherd. While not much is known about Ren's previous life, we do know that he was taught several "tricks" including sit, stay, roll over and spin. He loves to do his tricks - especially when treats are involved! Ren weighs about 50 pounds right now, so he is on a doggy diet, but that doesn't stop him from performing for treats! Ren is crate trained and potty trained. While he was anxious in his crate his first night in a new space, he quickly fell into a routine and is doing great now! He LOVES to be in his foster family's fenced in backyard. He loves to explore the yard, smell all the smells and sun bathe the day away. Ren has been exposed to cats, dogs and younger kids in his foster home. While he has done well with everyone in his home, Ren's ideal home would have older children so that his Aussie tendency to herd doesn't come out to play! Ren is an adorable, smart boy that would love a family that will be active with him physically and mentally! If Ren sounds like a good fit for your family - apply today! His adoption fee is $275. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
