Story
Meet Ren! Ren is a very handsome, 3 year old Australian Shepherd. While not much is known about Ren's previous life, we do know that he was taught several "tricks" including sit, stay, roll over and spin. He loves to do his tricks - especially when treats are involved! Ren weighs about 50 pounds right now, so he is on a doggy diet, but that doesn't stop him from performing for treats! Ren is crate trained and potty trained. While he was anxious in his crate his first night in a new space, he quickly fell into a routine and is doing great now! He LOVES to be in his foster family's fenced in backyard. He loves to explore the yard, smell all the smells and sun bathe the day away. Ren has been exposed to cats, dogs and younger kids in his foster home. While he has done well with everyone in his home, Ren's ideal home would have older children so that his Aussie tendency to herd doesn't come out to play! Ren is an adorable, smart boy that would love a family that will be active with him physically and mentally! If Ren sounds like a good fit for your family - apply today! His adoption fee is $275. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Edi is a 6-year-old, 45lb Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as her beautiful, soulful eyes. She spent the first years of her life as a breeder dog in a puppy mill, never knowing kindness, comfort, or love. Now, as a survivor, she is slowly learning what it means to be safe. Shy and skittish, Edi still finds the world a little overwhelming, but every small step she takes is a victory. Loud noises and sudden movements startle her, but gentle voices and patient hands help her feel a little braver each day. She finds comfort in quiet moments, soft blankets, and the presence of those who respect her need for space. Though her trust is fragile, her spirit is strong. With time, love, and understanding, Edi is discovering that life can be more than just survival—it can be filled with warmth, care, and even joy. Edi is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $275.00.
