Story
Meet Jack! Jack is a fun-loving, friendly, playful little guy. He is about 10 months old, and has a ton of puppy energy. Jack is a great companion, and will thrive in an active, social setting. We go to the Voice of America dog park every day, where Jack gets to meet up and play with his friends. He has never displayed aggressive or anti-social behavior (humping, nipping), which goes for humans and canine friends. He has come a long way, and needs a whole lot of love and attention to make sure he continues to develop into a happy, healthy little dog. Jack is very smart, he knows a small handful of tricks. We are still working on recall, as he comes consistently at the dog park, but gets distracted in wooded environments when we go hiking. The reason I am rehoming Jack is because I do not have time to properly care for him. I am away from him for 10 hours on weekdays. He has a ton of energy, and will do best in a home with a yard, where he can run to his heart's content.

Story
Gracie Mae is a little over a year old, her birthday is November 23, 2023. She is the kindest and sweetest dog and having to rehome her has not been an easy decision but it is what’s best for her. She has so much energy, so room to run or a farm would be ideal. She gets along with my other dog, my other dog is just too old to keep up. She is great with my toddler. She will come with her crate and I’m asking a $300 rehoming fee to insure she is going to a good home. She really is a great dog and this decision has not been made lightly. Things have changed and I work too much over time to be able to give her the attention that she needs.

Story
Calla. She’s named after a flower due to her delicate nature and beauty. She’s 1-2 years old and 35lbs. Calla is absolutely fabulous with dogs and cats and has never met another animal she didn’t like. She is the mother of 8 puppies that she raised with grace and now that she’s done her job, she’s so ready for a family of her own. She is super affectionate and cuddly once she feels safe. She’s apprehensive at first but then she’s on you like glue, Velcro, your new best friend. Calla is an easy-going dog who’s pretty low maintenance. She loves treats, snuggles and naps most of all. Apply today to snap up this very good little girlie!  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. Story
Meet Lil! Lil is a 10 month old, 15 pound Mini Australian Shepherd. Born in a puppy mill, Lil's early life was filled with fear and uncertainty. She has so much love to give, but she needs a patient and understanding family to help her blossom. She may startle easily, particularly when faced with loud noises or sudden movements, but beneath her timid exterior lies an abundance of love waiting to be shared While she is still uncertain and cautious, she is making progress every day. With the right guidance and a gentle approach, she is learning to trust and feel safe during leash walks. Lil does well with other dogs, and would benefit from a home with another confident resident dog to show her that people are nothing to be afraid of. She thrives in calm and peaceful environments where she can slowly come out of her shell and trust the people around her. A tranquil, patient, and loving household is just what she needs to make the transition from fear to love. Are you the one who will offer Lil a forever home, a place where her sweet nature can truly shine? Join her in this new chapter of life, and you'll witness the transformation of a timid puppy mill survivor into a loving, devoted companion. Lil is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450. Lil is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Introducing the Three’s Company litter: Chrissy, Jack and Janet are super cute and super soft. These 2.5-month-old Aussie mix puppies each weigh about 10 pounds and are bursting with energy and affection. They get incredibly excited whenever their foster mom, 2-year-old foster human brother, or their foster siblings (two Great Danes and a Schnauzer mix) come into the room. They're great with their young human foster sibling but, like typical puppies, tend to jump up in excitement to greet him with kisses. These little ones have a "play hard, nap hard" lifestyle and are making good progress with using puppy pads. They’re also free-feeding on dry puppy food. If you are looking for an energetic puppy to join your family Jack, Janet or Chrissy might be the perfect match for you. They are being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. The adoption fee for a puppy in this litter is $400.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination.
