Story
Peter is three years old and 38 pounds. He barks only to let you know there are visitors and gets quiet when acknowledged. He loves to tear up his toys but does not chew on anything else. He is house trained, up to date on all vaccinations and microchipped. His recent heartworm and parasite check came back negative. He is very sweet, loving, smart and protective. Peter has a lot of energy but can also spend his time lazing about on the couch if that is the kind of day you are having. As long as he is with his person, he is a happy guy. Peter grew up in the country zooming around on his own property so he could use some work with a leash. He does also have some quirks when it comes to food. He needs to be an only dog because of his food aggression. He prefers to eat his meals in his kennel where he can eat in peace and without anxiety. Peter is a wonderful dog and will make a great companion to his next family.

Story
Snapshot of Chuck: Size? Medium, ~40lbs Activity Level? I have a lot of energy! Noise Level? I love telling stories, but I will quiet down with reassurance. Good with Dogs? I love dogs who are smaller than me! Good with Cats? Yes! Good with Kids? Yes! Good with Strangers? Yes! Potty Trained? I'm a pro! Crate Trained? I don't love my crate. Shedding? Minimal About Chuck: Hi, my name is Chuck! I am a very energetic puppy with lots of love to give. I love small dogs but I know that I am not comfortable with dogs that are bigger then me. I think cats are super fun and I try to play with the cats at my foster home, but I tend to have a little too much energy for them. I like talking to my foster family and sharing all my fun stories, but I will quiet down. I don't leave too much hair around, but it is dark so it's hard to see even when I do! I am very good about going potty outside, I will let you know when I have to go. I love making new friends and spending time with them! I am not a fan of being in the crate, but if I have to be I will go in. I love having all kinds of toys to play with, but chasing a ball is my favorite! I'm working on the giving it back to be thrown again so we can keep playing! I'm sure I would also LOVE playing tug-of-war with you. I need a home with someone who will match my energy by taking me out on lots of walks and playing with me often! I would love a family that likes adventures and is willing to take me along. I have SO much love to give and I want nothing more than to be someone's sidekick, I can't wait to meet you! Chuck is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Meet Marti! Marti is a 5 year old, neutered, double merle, male, who came to us almost completely feral. He is a slightly pudgy 40 pounds, crate trained, house broke (but still leaks a little urine when sleeping although we haven't tried medication for that yet as it has been improving). As he is double merle he has some vision issues as well. Marti will need a very special owner that is willing to give him plenty of time to learn to trust. At his foster home Marti gets along with other dogs, is great with cats, and walks off leash in a rural setting. Marti is that lower energy aussie everyone's looking for and would like a quiet home. Marti will need more training in cooperative Care which his foster is working on and is easy to implement. The details: Needs Fence: Depends on setting (needs to gain trust to be leashed, fence necessary in busier area) Good With Dogs: Yes Good With People: Needs patience Good with cats: Yes All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.
