He gets along well with other dogs and cats and is currently in a foster home with another dog, a cat, and an 8-year-old child—he’s great with everyone! With his low to medium energy, Axel loves attention and enjoys being petted and cuddled. Rescued by our partner organization, "Dogs on Road," in Batumi, Georgia, Axel has an incredible story. He was found injured under a bridge after being hit by a car and underwent surgery to repair a fractured pelvis. His downfall is he will clear any fence and will come when he wants to. He is trained on invisible fence, however, and is very good with that! He will not escape a fence if you are in the yard with him but he just wants to be with his people so he will escape if left alone. Duke loves to play with other dogs and will do best in a home with a fun furry playmate.
