Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Northampton, PA Meet Venom! He is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd mix (the other breed is unknown) and weighs 60 lbs. He is up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t neutered. Venom is nervous around strangers and will sometimes growl at first! He is good with kids! He hasn’t been tested around cats. He doesn’t live with other dogs, but is good with dogs outside of the home! He is housebroken and crate-trained. Venom bit the owner’s son twice. The first incident occurred after her son hit him on the head with a toy for second time after Venom growled at him for doing it the first time. The second incident occurred after her son placed a toy on his head. The owner has told her son not to do that, but he keeps rough housing with Venom. She is surrendering him because of the bite incidents. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Venom, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Venom. Story
Finnegan is a sweet boy - well behaved - yet, will be shy at first with new people, but not aggressively so. He always seems to enjoy children & other dogs. Finn has lived with cats in the past & was fine with them, although would not overly interact with them - except to sniff them briefly, as they might walk by. Unfortunately, he has had seizures in the past & now is given meds that have seemed to help greatly! Health concerns are not my reason for giving him up - 'it breaks my heart, to do so' - however, so many places to live at will not allow for pets/dogs especially. Finn has good energy for 10+ years - he's actually at a pretty perfect stage, right now, behavior wise. Even, his potty habits are great, really! Enjoys car rides & he gets around with no problems - and will interact with you, as you interact with him.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- GUS IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.Hello, I'm Gus! I'm a sweet, mellow fellow with a playful streak that keeps me young. My curious nature means I love exploring new places and sniffing out hidden treasures. I'm brave, not easily spooked, and I'm smart, too. I've mastered all the basic commands and a few fun tricks. My loyalty runs deep; once I've bonded with someone, it's for life. I'm friendly to everyone I meet, and always ready to make a new friend. So why should you adopt me? Because I promise to fill your life with laughter, love, and endless loyalty. I'm just waiting for my forever home to share all the love I have to give.Gus is neutered, and vaccinated for dhlpp, bordetella, and rabies. He has a 4DX heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Gus is on monthly parasite prevenatives.   Also included in the adoption are 30 days of Pet First Pet Insurance, and Petco's Free Welcome to the Family Program. Story
Will you be my Valentine!!! Meet this beauty Dee Dee, she is a 3-year-old Mini Australian Sheppard who came from a commercial breeder. She is living her best life now and is looking for her forever home. All I want to do is cuddle but don't forget that I weigh 40 lbs. and not 10. I will follow you from room to room with the bathroom being no exception. I am doing Ok on the leash but do still need a little more practice. I love the fenced in yard and would prefer that if possible. I do go in the crate if I have to when my foster Mom goes to work for 4 hours a day 2 days a week or when she goes to the store to get treats but am not a big fan. I have a nice cozy bed that I sleep on at night right next to my foster Moms bed and I sleep well and all through the night. I am house trained and do go to the door when I need to go potty, (regression is normal in a new environment). I am well-behaved and love all visitors that come to the house. I get along with my foster sister who is a little dog but have not been around cats so not sure about them. I tend to get excited when I meet you and do jump up which is a work in progress. I haven’t been on many car rides but do get a little anxious and pant. I am looking for a loving family who will give me lots of attention and of course belly rubs. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate and adorable new member of your family, I’m your girl. Dee Dee is spayed and microchipped and up to date on all her shots. She is also on flea, tick and heartworm medicine which must be continued at her new home. Dee is being fostered in York PA so approved applicants and their family and dogs will have to travel to York for a meet and greet before being approved for adoption. If you are interested in Dee Dee and think she would be a perfect fit for you and your family, please fill out an application for adoption on our website. www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Inc. Story
River is an 11 year old Blue Heeler. She may be a senior, but she is full of energy and spunk! We expanded our human family and aren’t able to give our fur baby the attention she deserves. River is good with older children, but her herding instinct kicks in with younger kids. She is incredibly loyal and protective. She likes going on walks, though she can’t walk as far now that she’s older.
