Meet Kassie! This sweet 1-year-old, 43-pound bulldog mix is a bundle of love and joy, with an adorable squishy face to match her gentle personality. Kassie should gain about 10 more pounds to reach her healthy weight, but she’s already thriving in her foster home after arriving at the shelter very skinny.

Kassie is housebroken, loves to snuggle, and has a special affinity for kids and teens! She’s calm and relaxed but also has a playful side. Kassie gets along beautifully with everyone, including her foster dog siblings and even cats (as long as they’re kind to her).

Her trusting nature and the way she gives the sweetest hugs will melt your heart. Kassie is a strong but gentle soul who’s ready to leave her tough past behind and embrace a bright future with her forever family.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
