Story
My name is Elvis and I am a darling little Tennessee Treasure who wants to rock your world with the best Beagle fun ever.  I was found as a thin little guy, and they say that I am 12 weeks old.  I am looking for that perfect Beagle family that has a fenced yard and who adores my breed with all our funny quirks.  I am just starting out with my life and so far I am loving and friendly with everyone.  I am not housetrained yet, but working on it and I am learning what a wireccrate is all about.  I will probably be a 25-30 pound adult Beagle when fully grown.  I love kids, cats, other dogs and I love going places with my people. If you are interested in adopting me, please let Critter Cavalry Rescue know!   They are ready for me to find the perfect family that understands how cool Beagles are.  Please email them at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 20, 2024, 1:48 pm

Story
It seems the world's in such chaos and desperation and obviously the animals are suffering greatly. This girl named Dixie has hair loss only due to the huge flea infestation that she came to a vet's office with as she was left in a crammed crate too small for her and 4 other dogs.  There they sat in the heat of August and full of fleas and miserable and not able to move because they were sitting on top of each other. They had belong to an elderly woman that was going to a nursing home and her son who would cared for the dogs for a short time had obviously not done his job. He dropped them off on the front porch and left with just a little bit of an explanation on they need a home We can't keep them My mom's going into it nursing home and I can't take care of them. We're trying to take care of them as a responsible rescue group. I have taken two from the set of four and I need Foster homes for three others. What we know about these dogs is that they are sweet shy submissive kind and under the age of four. They're no larger than 26 lb or less. I just need to have foster homes it will help Critter Calvary take them in get them what they need quickly and find them good homes. They will be beauties once the hair grows back because they are already beautiful inside. Can you help can you help them feel love and safety and comfort and the promise that they'll have a far better life than they've been living. Write to us please today quickly they won't stay long. We don't have a magic wand but they won't stay long. People love beagles and they're the perfect size for a family that doesn't want a large dog and maybe has children that want to be loved by a very gentle kind and easygoing dog breed. Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com mention where you live, city and state. We can work outside of Tennessee. with four other dogs. Thank you so much for considering a possible whisper in the ear from God to please step up and help.  We pay the bills and all you do is pay in time and love to a dog that you can foster. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 20, 2024, 1:48 pm

Story
Hi everyone my name is Gretchen and I am a three to four-year-old purebred Beagle girl that weighs 35 lb and I found myself homeless. In a small town in Tennessee people said that I was roaming the neighborhood for a while and no one knew who I belong to. I ended up in the shelter and I was pretty scared the first day but they made me feel at home and introduced me to so many different people and even the other dogs and cats. I am a happy girl and they tell me that I'm quite pretty too. No one knows much about me except that I have a sweet smile, a great personality and I love people. I promise that I will be your cuddly snuggle bug and your best friend forever. I am looking for a Beagle loving home. I would welcome children as a part of my life and I can live with other dogs and even cats. They have tested me with everything and said I'm pretty perfect. If you are interested please write immediately to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 20, 2024, 1:48 pm

Story
We are so proud and excited to introduce to the adoption world our special Beagle boy named Apollo.  This little, 4-year-old, 21 lb precious soul formerly lived with a very senior woman and 4 other Beagles.  We don't know much about that life except that as the woman aged, she turned the Beagles over to her son who did not care properly for any of them.  When the elderly woman was taken to a nursing home, the son dropped all five of the Beagles off on the doorstep of a vet.  All five Beagles were crammed into one small crate.  They were covered, literally infested, with fleas and you can see the result from the hair loss on Apollo’s back.  You can only imagine how miserable and no telling how long this had gone on for these poor dogs.  He is now neutered, bathed, fleas are gone and antibiotics are being given to help clear the skin so that fresh new beautiful hair can grow back.  He came to us so frightened and shy but within a day or two he has relaxed, learned to smile and claimed his spot as he sleeps in the bed of his foster mom and snuggles right in.  We are looking for that forever home and that forever love who offers unconditional acceptance from a family.  We know someone special will appreciate his delightful Beagle personality.  If you want to give this adorable little guy the life he deserves, please writ to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 20, 2024, 1:48 pm

Story
Female, 10 years old, 28 lbs. Personality: smart, calm, quiet, curious, adaptable, easygoing, and gentle. Hi, I'm Sammy, a mellow and stately senior lady looking for love! Given my maturity and intellect, I have developed a calm and gentle demeanor that makes me your ideal companion. I love to go on walks, but I also know that some of the most important things are a good treat and a comfortable spot to get an ear scratch. I am great with humans of all ages, even toddlers. My quiet nature extends to home, where I rarely bark and will make myself comfortable in my crate. There's a lot to love about me, from the funny little zoomies I occasionally get, to my loyal nature. Not to mention that I know to go to "do my business outside, and have figured out the word "sit. I hope you will apply to meet me. There is no need for me to put on my best behavior because I exhibit that all the time! I would love to go on a short date followed by a treat and a good ear scratch. Let's go! Sammy was saved by Madison and Joel Peralta in honor of Junebug, their beloved CDCK senior rescue, who epitomized the power of second chances. She loved, and is loved and missed in turn, very fiercely. If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
