I might be shy at first with new people, but once I am comfortable, I love to cuddle and I have been told that I am a very sweet girl. I love going for walks and sniffing all the smells outside. I am not a huge fan of my crate, but my foster is helping me get used to it. Hi, my name is Otis, and I recently traveled here all the way from Alabama to find my forever home. I am about 2 years and only weigh 25 pounds. My foster mom tells me I am the sweetest boy because I like to snuggle and be close to her whenever I can. Besides snuggling, I love being outside, chasing squirrels and playing tug of war with my fur sister. Oh... and I love getting belly rubs! When my foster parents go out, I don't mind staying in my kennel and will sleep in there at night too. But because I am such a good sleeper, I get to sleep with my foster parents. I am a very spunky, happy pup and get along great with other dogs. Although it would be nice to have a fur brother or sister to play with, I would also be ok with being your one and only and getting all the love and attention. When you eat your Thanksgiving turkey- will you think of me?? I will be right next to you trying to get it... NOW will you think of me?? LOL, ok, I kid.... I do love turkey though :) I am Wishbone, and I am a bull terrier/beagle mixed boy with a story to tell! I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I love to have a hard playing buddy, no small animals (like kitties) as I have a prey drive- like a bull terrier.. you see where I am going with this, right?? Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. JJ is a neutered male beagle/terrier mix who is a little over 1 year old. He is a good eater and sleeps well at night on a dog bed in my bedroom. He does not like a kennel. He is pretty energetic and athletic and has the zoomies every day. He was found as a stray at Southwest high school. He is sweet and friendly to all, but needs to be worked with to help him not jump up on people. He NEEDS to be in a home with another dog. He is good as long as there is a person or another dog around him. If he is by himself, he cries and bays. He LOVES toys and empties his toy box every day. He has been pretty good about not chewing on anything other than the toys, but has counter-surfed a couple of times with success. Very affectionate and wants to be skin on skin. He can play fetch and follow a few commands. He has been overall pretty good with potty training, but has had some accidents. He does well on a leash and does well in the car. If you're looking for a playful, snuggly, and downright adorable puppy to add some fun to your life, you’ve found your guy. I’m a 12-lb bundle of joy and wrinkles – yep, I’m a Puggle, and I know how to steal hearts with just one look. I’m still learning the ropes (I’m under 6 months old, after all), but I promise I’m doing my best to be a good boy! I’m super social and love playing with people, my two doggy friends, and even your kiddos! I’m still figuring out the potty thing (accidents happen, right?), but I’m getting better every day. I’m food-driven and will do anything for a treat – seriously, I haven’t met one I didn’t like. And when I’m all pooped out from playing hard, I’m ready to snuggle up in your lap and snooze away like an old man, complete with some cute little snores. When I’m not chewing on bones or playing with my doggy pals, I love my daily walks and am making great progress on leash training. Billy is so incredibly sweet. He loves lots of pets and can’t get enough attention and cuddles. Although he is a little shy, he has quickly found a safe spot right next to his foster mom’s side. And each day, he is getting more and more comfortable in his foster home. As mom goes around doing all that she does, he has been picking up quickly along the way. Billy is playful, but probably more of the couch potato, cuddle, and love-me-up kind of dog. He has the softest eyes with the most lovable expressions. So far, it seems that Billy does well with other dogs. Likely, he will do best in a home with one smaller dog with a calmer demeanor. He would do well in a home where his mom or dad is home the vast majority of the time. Billy is not yet housetrained, but we are working on both potty training outside and using a potty pad inside. Billy is quite comfortable in his crate, and will go in as a source for comfort. However, we are still working on being totally comfortable through the night and when mom has to leave the house during the day. But even in a day’s time, we have made great strides! Billy is just so darn loving. He would make a truly wonderful life-long companion pup. Billy is estimated to be 7 months old and 22 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.
