Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Rambler (6yo, 50lb) is a presumed Beagle/Lab/Terrier mix and needs a home with another dog around his size & age to show him that being a dog IS pretty cool! Rambler came to us from a background of hardship. We aren't sure about his whole story, but came to rescue as a meek and skinny boy and was missing half of his ear. He also came to rescue with heartworm. He was successfully treated and has been diligently kept on Heartguard (Tri Heart Plus) ever since.  He has made HUGE progress since being in rescue. This guy deserves to find his forever home. He is working on trusting humans, new dogs, and being away from his foster mom. We think Rambler would do best in a laid-back home with a solid 6ft fence, a confident dog, and a human who is patient and ready for him to break out of his shell. He is crate trained, potty trained, walks well on a leash, and tries to be very brave when he meets new dogs. "Treats!" is one of his favorite words! Rambler is a true diamond in the rough. He is our longest resident (Aug. 2021) and we are hopeful that his perfect human is out there.   Interested in adopting? Please complete an interest form on our website  here . Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Say hi to Lulu! Lulu was rescued from a shelter in Tennessee, the day she was to be euthanized - shelter workers said they knew her original owner and that they mistreated her. Lulu is approx 8 years old and around 30 lbs. She’s very friendly, good with other dogs, good with cats. She’s affectionate, sweet, and friendly. We would recommend older children (or no children) for her because she can get touchy about her face being messed with- she can snap in fear if she doesn’t like how her face/neck/upper body is approached, or it's too quick for her. Lulu went through heartworm treatment through our rescue and is now ready for her forever home!  Interested in adopting? Please complete an interest form on our website here. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Benny (11mo/ 30lb) is a charming and charismatic young lad. Benny is currently being fostered with young kids, cats, a senior small dog, and a large breed puppy. Benny is the perfect blend of curiosity, playfulness, and affection! His Beagle side gives him an inquisitive nature, and his Basset side adds a relaxed and cuddly temperament. We aren’t 100% sure of Benny’s story, but he was fostered in a home with other dogs before coming to MN. Benny is still trying to learn his role in his pack, so if there are other dogs in the home, we do recommend feeding separately. He does have a little attitude when it comes to other dogs trying to take his chews or food, but once he learns that he can trust everyone - he settles down. Benny is still working on potty training, and does well on a schedule and with treats! His foster mom works from home and is trying to help him learn to jingle a bell to go potty. (Smart AND Handsome!) He is still working on crate training, but once he is comfortable, enjoying a chew, and everything is quiet, he settles in for a nap. Benny would thrive in an active home where he can enjoy daily walks, training sessions, plenty of playtime, and cuddle sessions on the couch. A fenced yard is preferred for Benny so he can stay active, but would also be good in a home with a lot of activity and adventures. He’s also very social and would be a great fit for a family with other pets or kids who can match his energy and enthusiasm. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who’s always up for an adventure or a snuggle, Benny might just be the perfect addition to your family   Interested in adopting? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Poppy is about as Beagle-y as they come! She's around 3-4 years old and packaged in a 29 lb package of cuteness. Her nose is always on the ground, trying to find that rabbit who ran through the yard two hours ago. Poppy loves to play fetch, take walks with her people, going for sniffing adventures, and learning new things. Her foster says she is a whiz at puzzles and treat toys, and would be great to teach tricks to. Poppy is a happy chewer - as long as she has things to chew, she is glad to use them. She crates well and does great on a routine. The ideal home for Poppy would have another dog around her size and age to play with and help her come out of her shell, an active lifestyle, and a fully fenced yard. Poppy is still quite nervous around new people, especially men and kids, but is being fostered in a home with an adult man and doing very well! Poppy is looking for her forever home & forever adventure buddy! Interested in fostering and/or adopting? Please complete an interest form on our website  here . My name is Pecan! I was surrendered into rescue because I was pregnant and my owners already had 4 dogs.  I was supposed to come up on the transport and give birth in Minnesota, but I had other ideas. I gave birth the morning of transport, so I needed to have my own personal transport for me and my 12 puppies! I did a wonderful job raising my puppies into independent boys and girls and now it is time for me to find my own home. I am about 2 years old and very playful. I love to play with my resident foster dogs or if they don’t want to play, I will throw toys around for myself like you can see in my video. I really love my people, and I love to sit next to them on the couch and get lots of love.  I am potty trained, and crate trained.  My foster just leaves me out and I am great. I also sleep in bed with her at night with her other dogs. I am not sure if I would be good with cats. They stay behind a gate because they are afraid of all the puppy noise, but I am very interested in them. I am a little bit afraid of new people and like to bark at them. A little work with treats and they will be my new best friend. If you are looking for a loyal, loveable, and playful dog, I am your girl!
