Meet Monte! Monte is a 1.5 year old, Border Collie/German Shepherd/Husky mix searching for his forever home.Monte came to us as a stray, so we don't know any of his history. What we do know, is that he is a smart, energetic, and friendly guy! After only one day in our care, Monte would greet every new friend with a wagging tail and nuzzles for pets. He warms the heart of everyone lucky enough to meet him! He is well trained with basic commands like sit, lay down, and walks very well on leash. He occasionally gets excited and jumps up.Monte appears to be a mix of Border Collie, German Shepherd, and Husky. This is not a guarantee, but it's our best guess. He is a highly intelligent and active boy, and he will need a significant amount of exercise and mental stimulation to live a healthy and fulfilling life. We don't know how Monte would do with other animals, but he has shown interest in meeting other dogs. With a slow introduction, it's likely that Monte could make friends with other critters. Monte is looking for an active home, with lots of love. His lovable and snuggly nature would make him a great family dog. He will need ongoing training to ensure he doesn't develop any problematic behaviours, like jumping out of excitement.
