Story
Hi there. My name is ORIO (Oreo) and here is a bit of info about me:Breed: Border Collie / Labrador mixAge: 3-1/2 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 38 lbsHeight: tbd Highlights: calm, cuddler, loyal, clever Left in the freezing cold in Lebanon to fend for themselves at a young age, I was found on the streets roaming around and looking for food in the garbage. Me and my best friend Ollio were constantly harassed by passerbys. We were threatened with being shot, if not removed. Thankfully, a rescuer came through for us. I was pregnant when found and since had 4 adorable puppies (they will be up for adoption later.) I was transferred to a boarding shelter until a home was found.  I certainly enjoy snuggling, a real cuddle bug they call me.My foster says I am great in the house, calm outside and don't bark a lot. I enjoy the great outdoors. So much so, that it would be best to go to a home with some decent sized property for me to run around."Very sweet & very loving" is how my foster describes me. My foster has worked with me to get me to stop pulling on a leash. Now, I'm a pro walker. I am also great in the house.I have no aggressions at all and will wait to eat til told ok. I get along fine with other dogs. Not sure cats would be a good match nor chickens, as at times I have dug holes to try to escape from the acreage to get to the chickens next door... chicken al fresco. So, best without the temptation around. You will not find any behavioral issues with me (other than chickens), so should be fine with older kids. You'll see I am bright-eyed and happy. Very loyal and clever too. Bet you could teach me tricks.I really need to find a home with my buddy, Olivia (also posted), as we are quite bonded with one another. Energy Level: moderate I get along with:Dogs: yesCats:  noKids: no Prey drive: fairly high. My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. Fears: none observed. Training: house and leashLeash skills: yes Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I am spayed/neutered, vaccinated & microchipped. The adoption fee for me and my buddy Olivia together is a whopper deal at $800. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1374363##

Story
Hello there, my name is Maxwell. Sounds distinguished, doesn't it? Here are some facts about me:Breed: Border Collie/Lab mixAge: 3 years oldGender: maleWeight: 50 lbsHighlights: rather laid back, enthusiastic, playful, cuddly Skills: I am housetrained but I don't get much practice walking on a leash as I currently live on a farm where I have a lot of space to run around. I have a moderate energy level. I'm actually a fairly laid back kind of guy - I love to run and play outside and then come inside for a nice cuddle. I LOVE car rides and I love my food. This can make me responsive to treat rewards for learning new stuff but it also means that I like dining on my own so I can make sure that I don't miss out on any of my delicious food. Don't get me wrong, I do like to have other dogs to play with but perhaps not little dogs. For whatever reason, I'm wary of them but I love hanging out with dogs my own size or bigger. Please, I don't socialize with the feline types and I am a bit too rambunctious to make me a good companion for kids. My foster says I'm a great sleeper and then, when I wake up, I'm eager to get my day going. I would really love a big fenced yard and some loving humans to adopt me and then we can go on a whole bunch of exciting car trips. Would you like to join me! Health: I have been immunized, microchipped, and neutered. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Story
My name is NODDY and here is a little info about me:Breed: Border Collie/hound mixAge: 3 yrsGender: maleWeight: 46 lbsHeight: 20 inchesHighlight(s): affectionate, loyal, calm, funny, playful, loving, confident Known as an Indie dog, I look very much like a NZ Huntaway sheepdog. Who knows if there is actually any of that in me, but neat anyway, don't you think? I am a loving boy, whose tail never stops wagging. My rescuer found me in a dire situation. I was living on the streets and become a victim of human cruelty. A drunk man had chained me and I was being dragged and beaten up with a stick. https://youtube.com/shorts/81PYRImrcpc. I was bleeding from my mouth and had scratch wounds all over my body. When my rescuer saw what was happening, she intervened immediately. Even though I was in bad shape, I still wagged my tail at her. She shifted me to a boarding home and there I have been living since. You see in my country of India, us mixed breeds are not treated well. I have not had even one lead for an adoption.I am also a Distemper survivor. I had it at 8 month old, but am completely well now.Given my penchant for affection, I am good with dogs of all sizes, as well as kids. Sorry, haven't had intro to cats yet. And just look at how excellent I am with the vet: https://youtube.com/shorts/P-uf4VaxC4I. You'll find me playful, but also a big cuddle buddy. I'm calm, confident, & loyal. You'll see I have a funny, amusing side to me, as well. So, I should keep you amused. See how silly I am here scratching my back on the bricks:  https://youtu.be/9HanyGs5RH0. Hoping we can have some adventures together, but also do some big time snuggling. Yah, pink bows on a boy dog, I know... but a boy can be Noddy, Naughty, Not he, once in a while can't he? Hahaa. The rescuer thought I was cute in them though. I think a moderate to semi-moderate lifestyle of activity would suit me well. Always up for a sniffathon walk, but just as happy to hangout on the couch getting ear scratches. Mmmm, streeeetching out, just thinking about my future: https://youtube.com/shorts/P-uf4VaxC4I. I'm awaiting your call. Aren't I wonderfully loyal? https://youtube.com/shorts/kaTob_NyRwc. ✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Rown🖤 He was found on the street. He had swallowed stones and screws, requiring emergency surgery. He also had an injury on his leg from his difficult life on the streets, but after surgery, he’s now in recovery. * With People: Loves people so much! Despite having a hard time in the past with accidents and struggles, he is endlessly affectionate and loves being around people. * With Dogs: Is full of energy and enjoys playing with other dogs. Is very playful and always approaches first to initiate play. * With Cats: Is curious and always watches them when they pass by. * Separation Anxiety: Currently resides with other dogs at the shelter, so it’s hard to determine. Shows mild signs of separation anxiety when alone. * Potty Training: Is well-trained to go potty both indoors and outdoors. * Hygiene: Is still getting used to baths. Resists at first but cooperates once he’s in the bath. Is also good with drying, brushing, and nail trimming, though he might try to run initially but stays calm during the process. * Walks: Loves walks so much that he sometimes pulls on the leash when he gets excited, but it’s not severe and can be managed easily. * Car Sickness: Rides well without any signs of motion sickness. * Has mastered several commands such as “sit” and “paw ” about 80% of the time. * Sometimes barks at external noises or in excitement when greeting people because he loves them so much. ** Health Condition : Recovering from ankle surgery; he’s walking better but may need ongoing rehabilitation.

Story
My name is MARLEY and I am available to adopt!! Listen to my wonderful features....I'm a BC fellow, born on Vancouver Island. I am a year and a half old and I love life! I am 50 lbs in weight.  I love fetching balls (yes, I do bring them back to close to the person who threw them), playing with other dogs, going to the beach to swim, and generally living a healthy westcoast outdoor life. I am also very able to chill, often letting my foster mom sleep in wwhile I wait patiently for my breakfast.  How's that for a start?!  My further details include that I am a cuddly guy when I'm indoors enjoying attention from my humans. You've probably noticed that I am a mixed breed dog, both of these heritages being of working dog type. In short, I've never learned about agility courses or herding farm animals but there is a very good chance that I will take to these activities like a....farm guy to farm-type tasks. This is just a guess of course as I've never been introduced to these activities but then again, I'm a smart, trainable guy so it's likely I'll be fine with both. I have been living with my foster family for a while and they tell me often that I'm smart, playful, and very social with everyone, four-footed and two-footed. I had learned several skills with my previous adopter and I am expanding on those. My previous adopter really loved me lots but life circumstances were such that he had to rehome me. In my future home, if there were to be another young dog to play with, that would be marvelous! I just LOVE to play but, even so, I am also responsive to humans telling me to stay chill. I am a great dog at the dog park, playing with many other dogs. We all have a good time together. I have a few basic skills such as understanding commands such as sit, stay, and come.  I have a moderate activity level which means that I really appreciate visits to the dog park but, after a bit of a romp with other dogs, or playing tug or chasing a ball at home, I'm ready to chill and have a nap. This reminds me...I would greatly appreciate living in a house with a fenced yard. I just love to dash out the door in the morning in order to check out my yard and then to go back inside to wait for my breakfast. Did I mention...I just love life and any human around me can't help but share in my joy of living! I am microchipped, neutered, and immunized.  My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters/rehoming adopters. Hallooo world. My name is HONNI (Honey), how do you do? Here is a bit of info about me:Breed: Australian Shepard/Canaan dog mixAge: 2 yrsGender: FemaleWeight: 20 kgHeight: tbdCountry of origin: LebanonHighlights: Loyal, Intelligent, Affectionate, Calm, Independent I am a faithful & chilled out girl, awaiting a family to adore and in which to bring joy. And don't you just love my unique markings?Rescuers heard me screaming and followed the sound. When they got closer, they saw a man hitting me with a wooden stick. I was crying out, desperate for help. My rescuers would not walk away from this ghastly cruel scene. Without hesitation, they came in and took me. People in the area were telling the man to either poison me or put me in a bag and throw me on the highway. Sadly, these are the horrors in my country.I had been through so much and I was terrified, but I somehow knew they were there to save me. Being I wS wearing a collar, showed I once had a home, but likely was abandoned. Life on the street was just as harsh, as my previous family.Despite everything though, I remain a sweet and friendly pup, so they named me Honey. You'll find me quite the intelligent pupper, as well as affectionate. I tend toward the calm and can be independent, so I should be able to entertain myself when you are busy. I hear something called a kong toy stuffed with peanut butter is a good distraction. SMILE. Some confidence building exercises should be included in my training regimen.Hoping we can enjoy some cuddles and adventures together. I await your calling my name.
