Story
A great companion! Hi, friends! My name is Alonso, and I’ve come all the way from Tijuana to find my furever home!   I’m a 7 year old old Border Collie mix male, who weighs 45 pounds.  I’m potty-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained, and I’ve already been neutered, too.  As far as my health goes, I’m on Royal Canin Vet Diet Adult Gastrointentinal Low Fat Dry dog to help manage my kidney issues.  I also have limited vision in my right eye and am blind in my left eye, so I am currently on Prednisone acetate, which costs ~$20 a bottle, depending on the market value and where it is purchased and Optixcare Plus lubricant,  (~$15 a tube, depending on the market value and where it is purchased). I also take Telmisartan to manage my high blood pressure (~$15.00 for 3 month supply, depending on market value and where purchased).   I’m the sweetest boy! I love my humans and to be spoiled by them.  My favorite activities include cuddling on the couch, sun-bathing in the yard, napping during the day, getting belly rubs, and going for car rides and walks in the neighborhood.  I’m generally a pretty mellow type of guy, but I do get zoomies in the backyard, and I like to play fetch, too.  Although I love having company, I also do fine on my own with very little signs of separation anxiety. I’d prefer to be the only animal in the home since I don’t do well around other doggies or kitties.  Older kids (eight and older), though, would be a great fit for me. Basically, as long as I have plenty of time around my people, I will thrive be my best self! "The Animal Pad recognizes that taking in a new dog can pose a challenge to the entire family. Alonso’s adoption package includes a FREE four-week scholarship with our partner Goodpup (https://goodpup.com/). Goodpup offers virtual, individualized training to ensure you, your dog, and your family have the skills needed to thrive together. GoodPup Scholarships include: 4+ weeks of positive reinforcement training 24/7 chat for questions and support Access to a behavior team to assist in advanced cases" Do I sound like two paws up to you? If so, my adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.   ##1495460##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Beautiful, gentle and sweet border collie mix young adult.  Meet Zoe, a beautiful and very sweet young border collie/spaniel mix that was found abandoned along with her brother, Ziggy, at a construction site in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. Ziggy and Zoe had obviously belonged to someone, they were very scared but wanted badly to connect with humans. Several people in the  neighborhood pitched in and made sure these 2 had food and water and shade until they could be rescued. Although very scared at first and a bit shy, Zoe soon realized she loves humans and is now very friendly and affectionate with humans. She loves to go on walks, is good on leash, housebroken and will jump in your lap to be petted. She is not reactive at all towards other dogs on her walks, and has realized how much she wants to be someone's forever dog. She's a gentle girl who loves to get attention, and also very athletic and would excel at agility. To meet Zoe in person, visit this link to submit an application! Story
Tommy is a cute and cuddly little boy with an eternally cute face. He was found on the streets with a tumor about 5.5" in diameter in his belly. He lasted a year in treatment with chemotherapy and medication and needed surgery to remove the remaining encapsulated mass. In addition to needing special food to break up a stone bladder, he has ultrasounds to make sure he don't get sediment in his bladder every three months. He is currently a healthy, happy, loving and tender dog. He is very loyal and protective, intelligent and playful. He don't get along well with alpha male dogs, but plays well with puppies and females. He is sociable with children and adults. Tommy is a Border collie mix, and is smaller than a Border collie. When you talk to him he makes a cute and cuddly face, ducks his head and rolls his eyes upwards, I think he knows he is cute and takes advantage of that. Tommy is a dog to spoil, to cuddle and to give him lots of love, since his first family didn't give him all he deserved. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Story
This puppy was born on Dec. 9, 2022 and has been through a lot of changes. She has been "taken home" three times and each time due to changes in the owner's life, she has been returned to the rescue to try to finally find a reall forever family. She is a sweet dog who loves to play with other dogs, but now has trouble trusting people, because they keep disappointing her. She will need some extra care to get her over this, and find her confidence to be the best dog she can be. She will do best if she has another dog in the house to be her new bff. ##1630738##

Story
We got Barry when he was puppy from San Diego Humane Society. We are rehoming him because we are not giving him the life he needs anymore. It was not easy to come to this decision, but our family circumstances have changed and now we are moving out of the state. He definitely needs an active home with someone who can cater to the needs of a border collie. Barry is very sweet with people he knows. He can be very goofy and rambunctious, he loves to play with toys and loves treats. He likes to incite play with our other dog and sometimes will gently play with the cats. Sometimes he can be too much for the other animal but is very easy to call off or distract. Sometimes he will chase the cats, especially when they get the zoomies, but he has never shown them any aggression. In the mornings when he wakes up he loves to roll around on the bed and loves to receive pets at that time. He likes to be around us and loves getting attention.

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by their previous owner. Why this pet is the one for you:Look at Behemoth which means big and powerful and that describes him. He is also handsome with his multicolored coat including a fine white vest and cute white paws. He posed for his photo with a funny cock to his head and a look that says "aren't I cute?" Yes, he is. He will need a lot of protected outside space where a few barks will not get him into trouble because he sometimes barks for attention. We can help you redirect that behavior. He is a loyal and protective type but first he needs to trust his household. Take your time with him while he develops that trust. He might do better in an adult household that respects and understands his nature. Once he trusts, he will be all in with love and loyalty. Better if there are some treats and toys along the way for him. He may step onto a sofa or bed to get closer to his family. We hope you don't mind. If you are interested in meeting who might be the next member of your household, come to our San Diego campus and ask about big Behemoth. He's a great guy. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 69.3 Age: 3yrs 5mths 2wks
