*Courtesy Post* (San Diego) This is Blue, he is an 8 year old neutered male. He is crate trained, and potty trained. He is a big lover, however very protective of his home and an alpha dog. He seems to have some anxiety/stress due to the foot traffic constantly passing his current home situation. He would be best in a home with a yard, and no other dogs. He is a super loyal dog, and does well in the car. Loves walks, and tug a war. If interested please contact Kim at (760)310-0325 kdietrich714@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 6:34 pm

Story
Meeko is a fun high energy dog but also loves cuddles! He is such a teddy bear! He loves to play fetch!! He loves his toys and hasn’t destroyed any plush toys since being out of the puppy stage. He is house trained. He doesn’t jump on furniture unless asked, he doesn’t jump on guest too bad either. He knows commands like sit, lay down, shake, speak, and turn around. Meeko loves kids and will run and play all day. While he is a complete angel inside the house, outside is where we have our challenges. When walking him on a leash outside he becomes reactive to other dogs and humans. However, when he is around the dogs he knew as a puppy he is fine. He has never hurt any animals or person. While we love our Meeko, due to some unfortunate circumstances we can no longer meet his needs. We want him to have the best life and be with a family that has the time and resources that he deserves. It breaks our hearts but we know rehoming him is what is best.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please review our Adoption Process before filling out an application.  If you would like to try a Foster to Adopt trial, please fill out an Adoption Application.  If you are only interested in temporarily Fostering one of our rescues, please fill out a Foster Application.   Meet Hazel! This beautiful girl was rescued along with a litter of pups. Since her rescue the pups have been adopted and now its Hazels turn. She is a beautiful dog with a beautiful personality. We would love to find a forever family for her and we encourage applicants to request a 1 week foster to adopt trial to make sure she is the right fit for the new human(s) who adopt her. Hazel is VERY people friendly (men, women and children alike) and has shown no dog aggression on/off leash. She is very social with dogs. We would like her continue that amazing dog and for that we are looking for an adopter/foster who will continue to socialize with dogs and people in/out of their home. We are looking for an adopter/foster with time in their hand who KNOWS adopting a dog into a new home takes time for the transition of adjustment and requires ADOPTERS/FOSTER to help train at home. Hazel is a medium energy dog and a nice medium size which means dog training is a MUST and always recommend to adopters to sign up into 'in person' dog training be it puppy training or dog obedience 101 within a month of adoption which allows adopters and new canine members to have a great start at a lifetime together. Dog training and keeping dogs socialized is of most importance to ANY and all dogs, Hazel has a wonderful social, loving and active personality perhaps she is a great match for you??A little about Hazel:  Hazel was amazingly gentle with people of all ages, eager for attention and pets. She does want to jump/climb up on legs, but it was easy to ease her off (even when the people greeting her didn't mind.) She didn't lick faces or hands, but definitely melted when she got pets/caresses.  - She does lay down and calm down but she is excitable for outtings like walks, runs, hikes, etc - She need leash training like all dogs, since she can tug at the leash but easily trainable - Overall she is a sweet dog, but typical young dog energy and will need someone that can give that energy a good outlet (walks, runs, play, etc.) She can be an only dog in the home but she would do amazing with another dog friendly and playful friend and/or an active family/home would be best for Hazel. We don't often have dog adoption events and rely in interested parties to submig applications online for a follow up email/text to schedule a call in hopes to move forward to schedule a meet and greet in San Diego area. Submit applications at ARWOB.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application. Dog Adoption Application Cat Adoption Application   PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE IN THE MILITARY  please fill out a short questionnaire in addition to the adoption application. Story
Max is the dog on the left in this photo, the black and tan. She is a beautiful young girl who was initially rescued as a small puppy with her family from a farm in the Central Valley where they were abandoned. She has been living with a foster and now she needs to find her forever family. She is very sweet, very playful, has lots of energy, and loves her people. She is dog friendly, not sure about cats. She'd be a great dog for an active person or family. She will need a decent sized yard to run around in, and some practice going on walks, since her current caregiver hasn't taken her on walks. She is good about going in her crate when she is told. She will need to be spayed, but is up to date on all vaccinations and is in perfect health. Please contact me at cmiller927@cox.net if interested in this girl, thank you!! **I'm having trouble getting her photo on here for some reason, but I can text or email you her photo --

Story
A great companion! Hi, friends! My name is Alonso, and I’ve come all the way from Tijuana to find my furever home!   I’m a 7 year old old Border Collie mix male, who weighs 45 pounds.  I’m potty-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained, and I’ve already been neutered, too.  As far as my health goes, I’m on Royal Canin Vet Diet Adult Gastrointentinal Low Fat Dry dog to help manage my kidney issues.  I also have limited vision in my right eye and am blind in my left eye, so I am currently on Prednisone acetate, which costs ~$20 a bottle, depending on the market value and where it is purchased and Optixcare Plus lubricant,  (~$15 a tube, depending on the market value and where it is purchased). I also take Telmisartan to manage my high blood pressure (~$15.00 for 3 month supply, depending on market value and where purchased).   I’m the sweetest boy! I love my humans and to be spoiled by them.  My favorite activities include cuddling on the couch, sun-bathing in the yard, napping during the day, getting belly rubs, and going for car rides and walks in the neighborhood.  I’m generally a pretty mellow type of guy, but I do get zoomies in the backyard, and I like to play fetch, too.  Although I love having company, I also do fine on my own with very little signs of separation anxiety. I’d prefer to be the only animal in the home since I don’t do well around other doggies or kitties.  Older kids (eight and older), though, would be a great fit for me. Basically, as long as I have plenty of time around my people, I will thrive be my best self! "The Animal Pad recognizes that taking in a new dog can pose a challenge to the entire family. Alonso’s adoption package includes a FREE four-week scholarship with our partner Goodpup (https://goodpup.com/). Goodpup offers virtual, individualized training to ensure you, your dog, and your family have the skills needed to thrive together. GoodPup Scholarships include: 4+ weeks of positive reinforcement training 24/7 chat for questions and support Access to a behavior team to assist in advanced cases" Do I sound like two paws up to you? If so, my adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.   ##1495460##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Beautiful, gentle and sweet border collie mix young adult.  Meet Zoe, a beautiful and very sweet young border collie/spaniel mix that was found abandoned along with her brother, Ziggy, at a construction site in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. Ziggy and Zoe had obviously belonged to someone, they were very scared but wanted badly to connect with humans. Several people in the  neighborhood pitched in and made sure these 2 had food and water and shade until they could be rescued. Although very scared at first and a bit shy, Zoe soon realized she loves humans and is now very friendly and affectionate with humans. She loves to go on walks, is good on leash, housebroken and will jump in your lap to be petted. She is not reactive at all towards other dogs on her walks, and has realized how much she wants to be someone's forever dog. She's a gentle girl who loves to get attention, and also very athletic and would excel at agility. To meet Zoe in person, visit this link to submit an application!
