This handsome boy came into the shelter with another dog and is still getting used to his new surroundings. He may be shy at first, but with a little patience and kindness, he starts to come out of his shell. Lobo would do best in a home that understands his need for a gentle approach and allows him time to build trust. We also think he'd greatly benefit from having another dog in the home to help show him everything is okay! Rooney is a 11 year old Australian Shepherd mix who was surrendered to us when his family was going through a tough patch and could no longer keep him. Rooney is an active senior who loves longer walks, car rides, toys, fetch and all things involving water. Rooney is good on the leash, has basic training and is house broken. He does not have any known medical issues but could probably slim down a bit. Rooney is great with people and kids. In his younger days he went to dog parks regularly but as a senior he’s no longer a fan of wild young dog play so he’d prefer either a home where he is your one and only or a home with another more chill and calm dog. He has recently developed some separation anxiety due to his current family situation so a home where his people are around more often than not would be best for him.
